Hi Gang!!

Yeaaaaah...One more year!! Hope it goes fast.

Jeff, seems like when I have a few days off from work, I am able to sleep. Who'd a thunk it??

Karen, it's been a long time since I had to reward my kids since they're 22 and 25 now. "Cash" was always the winner in our house. :rotfl: Isn't it funny how you don't remember things that were fun for the kids. I don't believe you celebrate (not sure if that's the correct word) April Fools Day on April 1st. That's the day this lady terrorizes her kids and plays jokes on them. One year I set all the clocks ahead by 2 hours. I woke the kids up for school, got them dressed and out to the bus stop to wait for the bus...two hours early!!! They were a little puzzled as to why it was still dark outside but they obliged. Well, I watched from the window and I'll bet they stood out there close to 20 minutes. (Yes, the weather was quite nice). DD started to cry because she thought she missed the bus. OK...mom, not so funny anymore. I broke down and ran out to get them back in. Neither one of them thought it was funny. OK, so now it's one year later and just for kicks and giggles, I did it again. THEY FELL FOR IT AGAIN!!! :lmao:

I can't believe they did that!! :rotfl: Next year I hid all my DD's hairbrushes. Joke was on me because the little "ragamuffin" went to school without brushing her hair (at that time it was down to her waist). I just can't win can I?

Allright, off to enjoy one more day off of work. Next week gets serious. 1st cancer treatment on Wednesday and Colonoscopy on Friday. YIKES...I wish next week was over already. :guilty:

Talk to you soon kids!
Nancy :wave2:

Congrats to Brenda's Cardinals!!!!!

I will say that I am hoping they win the whole thing now. I have cousins in MI that I can't stand (thank goodness the Packers can at least beat the Lions this year) and I don't want to hear about the World Series Champion Tigers.

GO CARDS!!!!

One year to go!

Nancy, 80's in Orlando.....try 93. It's a freakin heat wave down here! But I'm not complaining, I'm here.Danny is hooking up the computer for work, so i'll try to pop in from time to time. We are staying at the Wilderness lodge villas. :sunny: Danny's paying for the internet to check in at the office, so I'll try to pop in from time to time. This is a laid back trip... I slept in till 9:30!! :cloud9: :cloud9:
It's 11:30am and we are just getting to leave for Epcot. We did nothing yesterday, Danny had a bad headache and we got into our room at 2:00pm and after a quick bite at roaring forks, he slept while I went and worked out at the Health club and sat in the lobby reading. :cloud9: Left for DTD at 7pm for our ADR at Ragland Road at 8pm. Lots of fun and lots of beer :teeth: We made it back to the room at 10:30 and saw the end of the game. I'm so happy Brenda's Cards made it to the Series.. Go CARDS!

Gosh,I'm sorry this turned into a trip report.....take care everyone :wave2:

Hi Nancy

I burst into laughter at your reply :lmao: - you cruel cruel mother :thumbsup2 . Guess what I'll be doing next April 1st :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Cant believe they fell for it 2 years running.

I remember playing a trick on my sister one year. She had a long winter coat, and after she'd put it on she was talking to Dad and I snuck up behind her and attached a whole row of clothes pegs to the bottom of her coat. She walked to school without knowing :lmao: Everyone kept calling her Peggy and she couldnt figure out why! :lmao:

Best of luck for next week Nancy. I hope everything goes well for you on Wed and Friday. We'll be thinking of you. :grouphug: Drop in and say hi when you're feeling up to it. Take care xxxx

Karen,

The Cards are the St. Louis Cardinals (not to be confused with the Phoenix Cardinals, who use to be in St. Louis, and are in the National Football League. Football as we in the United States think of it not those every where else in the World who's idea of Football is really Soccer here in the US).

They are a major league baseball team, representing the National League in the World Series (How World they are can be questioned since they really don't compete with Japan or any of the Central American or Caribbean teams). There are two leagues in Major League Baseball (American and National) and the winner of each conference plus one wild card team, play in the League Championship Series. St. Louis Cardinals kind of backed their way into the playoffs (the National League Central Division wasn't really that good this year) but have done a great job in the playoffs and one two series, including the National League Championship Series. Now they will play the Detroit Tigers from the American Legue. The series will last up to 7 games, with the first team to win 4 games taking the series.

Now for us in WI, our Brewers are just awful (15 years running without a winning season) and the one and only time the Brewers went to the World Series, they lost to the Cardinals.

So now that your even more confused, GO CARDS!!!!
Jeff

Thanks Jeff :thumbsup2

I'm not a "sporty" girl. I don't even follow our football. :confused3 I'd only go to a footie match if Beckham was playing in his shorts!

ok then..... Now I know - :cheer2: go CARDS! :cheer2: and go Brewers! :cheer2:

No need to cheer for the Brewers. They stink. So does our football team this year - the Packers.

Here in WI we are routing for the Badgers (the State University's football team). They are having a really good year.

Jo, so glad you'll be checking in with us. I look forward to it. 90's??? I can only tolerate that if I was in Florida with a pool close by. Hey, say hi to Danny for us!! :wave2:

Jeff, good job on the baseball explanation. So glad I didn't have to tackle that explanation. I will also be cheering for Brenda...ooops, I mean the Cardinals. :thumbsup2

Karen, I love the clothespin trick. Very creative. I do have to give my kids a little credit though. One year they stuck a note on my back that said, "I'm as dumb as a brick"! I walked through a mall for over an hour with that note stuck on my jacket. Finally, some nice little old lady pointed it out. She was laughing so hard, she could barely get the words out. :lmao:

OK...off to a haunted house with the kids. Hope they don't read this post. I may be the victim of some long deserved pay back. :smooth:

Happy "One year to go" everybody. My wife and I need to get on the stick toward pottytraining my daughter.

Lots of patience and lots of praise - and lots of puddles! :rotfl: My son took ages but then did it in 4 days when he was ready and was dry through the night at the same time. You have a year to sort it - you'll be fine.

I'm sure the other kids in the Mickey Pool will appreciate your efforts. ;)

Hello everyone....another hot day here in WDW. Had fun yesterday in Epcot, today we are headed to DS-MGM. I'm on the lookout for Brenda and Jason, but the odds we'll bump into them is low.

B9erSteve, good luck on the potty training. I echo everyones advice on praise and rewards :)

Hey, no slipping to page two!!

Just wanted to post a quick one. Have to get into costume for a Birthday Halloween Party tonight. If the pictures turn out, I may have to post one for you.

Later,
Nancy
