oooooooooooooooohhhhhh - just noticed - this thread has got to 500 posts! - well done everybody

Bumpage!

Am feeling better for the second time after having a bit of a setback this weekend. Oh, well...at least I lost some weight! ;)

I almost (Almost) feel bad about not getting back to work this week...over-developed sense of responsibility, I guess. :confused3

But then again...we leave for WDW in exactly 30 days!! I might as well coast into our trip, don't you think? :)

Hi Brenda - sorry to hear about your setback. Hope it's all behind you now! We're les than 30 days now! My DD keeps telling me to just take the last link off of our vacation chain! Then that way we can go now! Gotta love a 4 year old's logic! :thumbsup2

Linda - have you been keeping up with the MNSSHP threads? Looks like Disney's been doing a good job so far of sweeping out "uninvited" guests. Read somewhere that people had even made their own orange colored wristbands - and got caught! Some people!

Hooray! :cheer2: We're in the 300 days range now til our cruise! Can't wait! Did everyone get a notice from DCL that the taxes had increased a bit? Looks like about $1.25 per person more. Better than those Alaska cruises. I read that the voters agreed to a head tax of $50.00 more per person! Yikes!

Page 2? - I dont think so!

Dissers -

I need you to send my travel agent some dixie dust today - she's giving me the final costings for the holiday today so I need lots of pixie dust to make it affordable! Hopefully by this afternoon I will be able to "officially" join your merry band of cruisers.

pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

Here you go....

Hoping this works for you!!

Sorry ive been off for a while, hectic times!!! We fly in 2 weeks Sat, for our HOLIDAY and FIRST ever Disney Cruise! Elouise started school ok, now im just getting house etc sorted. Clothes sorted etc.

Pooh bush, yes I have been reading the MNSSHP threads, what a cheek to make your own wristbands, thats soooooooooo desperate. Theme seems to be less candy, and if raining no villians mix. But so far crowd control has been good! Im excited, we go on the 12th, if its very good we will go on 24th or 26th , I think. Will wait and see.

Brenda... I will PM you, I have 4 london HRC pins for you.

I will try and post some pictures of our weekend break to London for you all to have a look. We did lots of shopping in Harrods! :thumbsup2

Love the countdown, glad we are in the 300's!

Karen, any news ????? come on girl, book it, you now you want too :teeth:

:wizard: :wizard: Hope this helps Karen!

Linda...you are so good to us! If you decide to go to a 2nd MNSSHP think about the 24th...we're going to that one, too! It would be a hoot to meet up with you guys and then I could drop a little something extra in your trick or treat bag! :goodvibes

Thanks, Pooh - feeling much better (again) now I'm just trying to work through being sore all the time. I have a feeling I'd better get used to that for a while. Oh well - could be worse! And there's always next month to look forward to!

Ok probably the WORSE picture of me for a while!!! In my defence, I dont get out much, so when I do, ( this London weekend trip, no kids allowed!) I party too hard, party: drink too much :drinking1 and have little or no sleep ............ this is the result! :rotfl2:

However I had to get Brendas Hard Rock pins for her, so here I am to proove I didnt buy them on E Bay, and that I went to the actual place!

no laughing please!

Brenda, ive pmed you pictures of the 4 pins, hope it came out ok?

Heres some pictures of our London weekend break. We went past the RITZ hotel, where you can have English afternoon tea for £50! We didnt do this, but it is meant to be fun........... I guess like afternoon tea at Palos. All china cups, and small triangle sandwiches

Here are the marzipan decorations at the food hall in Harrods. Not sure if our americans friends have heard of Harods??? Its a posh shop, well department store in Knightsbridge london. Where if you have the money, anything is possible!

View from our docklands hotel, the dome is the Millenium dome, built for the celebrations in 2000. now sadly, empty.... there is news it may be turned in to a casino?

Linda, first of all...you look great! Nice picture girl!

Then I click on all the other pictures. Oooooh..that fruit looks DELISH!!! Then I go to the next few pictures and decided that I like the looks of those cakes, tarts, etc much better. I may have to remove Jeff posing in his DISboard green slingshot from my screen saver and replace it with the cakes. :rotfl2: Thanks for sharing.

I don't have any pictures of our little getaway except for one with our kids. The hotel we stay at has a Mickey Mouse Teeter Toder and our kids have had their pictures taken on it since DD could sit up by herself. So, that makes about 21 years worth of pictures. Never missed a year yet.

Karen, any word yet? Hoping our pixie dust works. :cheer2:

Those pictures are the bomb!

No offense Jeff, but Linda's pictures are waaaaaay more appealing!! :teeth:

I would love to go to Harrods some day...if I ever make it to London in the first place. ;)

Thanks for the kind words, I hate having my picture taken.

Our weekend away was really fun. We were in Harrods for 4 hours. Gilrs in the make up and perfume counters (100s of them ! :teeth: ) Boys in the TV, Video, DVD section and the kids toys! :rotfl2: Wayne got hit on the head with a rocket balloon, but a kid who fired it about 300 feet away!! :lmao: They do allow you to "play" so they were with the toys, me and Sam were having a make over at Kanebo, and trying lots of perfumes and hats, sunglasses etc............... oh to have money!

If anyone wants anything from Harrods for next year, let me know. I took some wooden christmas decorations overe last time, for our villa owner. Who had been to london a few years ago, and soooo regreeted not buying them then. Her husband arranged it with me as a surprise. It was great fun!

Karen any news about your holiday? did you see hand luggage restrictions have been lifted from tomorrow? YIPPEE,, thats soooo handy for us! :cheer2:

If you guys have time check out this thread:

The guy went on the 10-night cruise and wrote a trip report that was actually pretty good - had some good things about the cruise and some bad things. Now, granted, I think his tone in the report is a bit...off-putting at times, but it's still interesting. What's even more interesting is the fire-storm that seems to have kicked up with some of the other folks who were on the same cruise with him.

It's one of those threads that's become sad and funny at the same time.

First of all...I finally was able to drive my car today! It's a good thing to have enough mobility to be able to drive again. :thumbsup2

Secondly, Jason let me book a vacation for our anniversary next May! It's nothing new...we're going back to Universal to spend 5 nights at Portofino Bay, but we really enjoy it over there. And they are offering the same special again...stay 4 nights and get free unlimited park admission. We're going to stay 5 nights over Memorial Day weekend and skip the Club Level this time. I'm so excited...and Plankton will get to go home for a visit! :teeth:

OK, is it obvious that I am really starting to feel better now?

I FINALLY got through the first page of that post. Did you notice his signature line? Do I really count 7 cruises on DCL next year? A few of them look like back to back cruises. All but one are in the Walt/Roy suites!! Geeeez, it makes me think of how much I spent last year for a 7 nighter in a Category 5. That trip was more than a few thousand dollars. :confused3

I'll have to read the rest soon.

Yeah, I noticed that too - that was the whole point of putting it there, wasn't it? ;)

Like I said - his tone is a bit off-putting. I don't really care how many times anyone goes anywhere nor how they stay, but I also don't like having it thrown in my face (and that is how the signature appears, whether he means it that way or not).

Pardon the crudeness of what I am about to say, but no amount of money changes the fact that in the morning we all get out of bed and have to take a daily dump. ;)

Edited to add: In his defense there are a ton of people around here who do that with their signatures. I don't know if it's to try to one-up each other or show how much they love Disney or let the rest of us know how proud they are of their travels...I really don't know. But then again, I suppose someone could say I've done the same thing with my trip reports. I swear, all I'm trying to do is bring laughter and joy to the world...is that so wrong??? :lmao:

OK...just finished reading the entire thread. It kind of reminded me of a thread I was on concerning refillable mugs. It got ugly!! :guilty:

Brenda, I too enjoyed his trip report. He was only being honest.

Brenda...I so wanted to publicly respond to your last post but decided to send a PM instead!! :rotfl2:

OK, here's the final proof that I really do feel like I'm getting back to my "normal" self.

Consider yourselves warned....

Nancy, you should have sent me a BM instead of a PM! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I know, I know...it's gross. But when you live with Crohns Disease bathroom humor is what sometimes gets you through the day!
