Ooh, there were a lot of posts in a row by our fellow UKers, I sort of felt out of place. I was sitting here thinking "now what are they saying?" :sunny: I think I got the gist of it all!

Jeff - you already posted your picture earlier. Remember the DIS green strappy suit! :rotfl2:

Brenda - seems like we're traveling to WDW again around the same time. Our anniv. is on May 28, but we'll be coming home on the 27th.

I'm really quite jealous of everyone buying their airline tickets already. There are only two carriers who fly nonstop from BWI. One is only up thru May 10, and the other is up to Jun 27. No where near Oct yet! We haven't even bought for our May trip yet. :guilty: It's driving me quite batty!

Hope everyone has a good weekend. I really need to start wrapping presents!

Hello and welcome to the medicalman and family ! :welcome:

Nancy, thanks for the lovely card ! :thumbsup2

Karen, I try the "dress is old/ in the sales etc routine" on Wayne too ..... :sunny: blimey , glad he doesnt DIS too much, either he is humouring me, or he really does believe I got it in the sale. Either way.................... my outfit is normally cheaper than his XBOX360, so who cares !!!

Now as for looks, obvioulsy I look a splitting image of Lindsay Lohan. :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

Take care all. L x

I'm making the Perfect Fruit Cake today!! If after reading this recipe you feel compelled to join me, please do so....

Perfect Fruit Cake

*One cup water
*One cup sugar
*Four large eggs
*Two cups of dried fruit
*One teaspoon baking soda
*One cup brown sugar
*Lemon Juice
*Nuts
*One bottle whisky

*Sample the whisky to check for quality. Take a large bowl. Check the whisky again. To be sure it is the highest quality, pour one level cup and drink.

* Repeat

*Turn on the electric mixer, beat one cup of butter in a large fluffy bowl. Add one teaspoon of sugar and beat again.

*Make sure the whisky is still okay. Cry another tup. Turn off the mixer.

*Break two leggs and add to the bowl and chuck in the cup of dried fruit.

*Mix on the turner. If the fried druit gets stuck in the beaterers, pry it loose with a drewscriver.

*Sample the whisky to check for tonsisticity. Next, sift two cups of salt. Or something. Who cares? Check the whisky.

*Now sift the lemon juice and strain your nuts. Add one table. Spoon. Of sugar or something. Whatever you can find.

*Grease the oven. Turn the cake tin to 30 degrees. Don't forget to beat off the timer.

*Throw the bowl out of the window. Check the whisky again, and go to bed!!

:dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

We are flying out on Oct 18th at 9:45 am and will be in the most wonderful place on earth by 1:45 and at MNSSHP that night. We are even getting Midwest Signature service on the way down, saver on the way back. Love those chocolate chip cookies. I was able to get the best rate, $193.50 roundtrip. All of you Wisconsinites should look into your tickets if you haven't already the rates on Midwest are the best they have been in a while. Most under $200 for that weekend, returning Sunday. The plane was over half full for Sunday when I looked today.

It is so cold today that I dream about the warm weather someday returning.

:cool1: Judy

Wow! They must have had a one day special the day you booked because I couldn't find it less that $206. Every little bit helps (or should I say is extra spending money on the ship). I checked last night and the fares have gone up substantially. Especialy with a Sunday return. Plus, there was only one return flight available for the cheap fares.

I'm not happy that we won't even think of booking until the end of January. I already told DW that the planes are filling up. I remember last year, MW had a sale I think in early April and that is when the planes filled up and the prices remained over $400, if not $500.

I will have to get a firm answer from DW regarding October before we get off the ship. I want to book the air as soon as we get back if we're going. Worst case is that we will fly AirTran. We'll just have to book Friday on the outbound and Sunday on the return. We won't be able to make a decision on MNSSHP until a month out however, once the flight time is set. With a Sunday return, it won't matter what time they put the flight. For this January, their return is at 10:46 a.m. - very tight when getting off the ship if you choose to fly on Saturday. We probably will be going to Disney Vero Beach after the cruise anyways, so it is just a matter of driving to the airport on Sunday. We could also come back through FLL, since that is just a little further from Vero than MCO.

Anyone been thinking what kind of Disney tickets you're getting?

Having a week before and 2 full days after makes it difficult. :confused3

A 14 day pass is no good as it would run out too quick, a 7 day pass is almost as expensive as the 14, the 21 day pass - seems a dreadful waste knowing I cannot possibly use 13 of them. I could get an annual pass and try to persuade hubby to go back in 2008! - not sure I'd swing though. Even my powers of persuasion arent that good :rotfl:

I know the day we get off the ship we're doing Kennedy, and I know I want to do MNSSHP at some point. What time can you get in to the park on that day with the mnsshp ticket? - Is it 4pm? If so, we could possibly do that on day 15 or 16.

We also like to do Seaworld aswell, so that doesnt leave many days to actually "do" disney.

I'm thinking a 7 day hopper with a seaworld and a kennedy and a mnssh ticket.

1st day - fly and unpack - do DTD - and shop for my baubles etc.
2-6 - parks
7-13 - getting on that ship baby  :woohoo: :yay:
14- off ship to Kennedy
15-16 - a park
17 - half day before flying home - maybe a park or last minute shopping spree.

Decisions, decisions :confused3

Also, would it be better value with the strength of the £ to buy from a US supplier rather than a uk site? I usually get mine from Attractions tickets direct. They are selling 2007 tickets for 2006 prices til Dec 30th.

oh, my head hurts

Finished decorating for Christmas 2006. Please enjoy the results

I just looked again and can't believe how fast they went up in price. I saw them last Monday for 188 put them on hold at 193.50 and bought them on Friday. Iam glad I did not wait any longer to book. We are taking the 9:45 on Thursday the 18th and returning on the 7 pm on the 28th. We went home right after the cruise last Feb and found thet you need that day to decompress after you get off. Owning DVC means we will so have the washer/dryer to do the clothes before we get home. ;)

Good luck, keep looking for flights they sometimeslower themmid-sring to finish filling the plane

Just when I thought I was catching up on stuff my doctor calls and sends me back to the dang hospital. I am getting really sick of the hospital!!! Apparently my blood work on Thursday showed my platelet count ridiculously low instead of getting better. Basically they told me that if I started to bleed, I wouldn't stop since my blood won't clot when my platelets are at 11,000.

They are so worried about me hitting my head that they told me I couldn't go outside and that I should be wearing a helmet in the house! LOL!

I have to go see a Haematologist tomorrow and hopefully my lab tests show that my platelets are climbing. It's been a rough week-end, and it's hard going in and out of the hospital with Kira. Good thing she's been a trooper!

Anyway, just thought I would update you guys!

Welcome to all the new cruisers!

Nancy, that recipe was HILARIOUS!!! Thanks for the laugh!!! :lmao:

Cass,

Hope everything goes well this week for you and you're all better for the holidays. :grouphug: pixiedust:

Jeff

Big hugs Cass...hope you're feeling better soon.

ps - my father has a motorbike helmet if you'd like to borrow it! :moped:

How far down did we fall?

I swore we weren't passed the half page mark.

Sorry. :guilty:

Sorry. :guilty:

It looked like we were about 3/4 of the way down the first page - I just noticed that it seemed very quiet today and it felt like a bump was in order, especially since I was out of town over the weekend and not able to contribute to the bumpage. ;)

Cass, Feel better soon! :grouphug: Here's a hug from all of us.

And here's a bump for Brenda. Kind of a senseless bump since we are only 4 posts down on page 1, but what the heck...it's still a "bump". I aim to please. :teeth:

Senseless bumps are the best kind!! :teeth:

BTW, I would have said Gratuitous Bumping is the best but that might have earned us an "R" rating for this thread and we wouldn't want that, would we? :lmao:

Hmmmm, an "R" rating. :scratchin

And all the times I held back on comments.

If we could only get the "R"..............

Actually Jeff, if that picture you posted a few months ago of Borat in that lime green thong-type bathing outfit didn't get this thread an "R" rating, then nothing will! ;)
