Wow we could have a Christmas '08 KK meet! I'll make sure to tell Rachel it's a secret. I envy you on how good you are at keeping these trips a secret from your kids! I always get these ideas for vacations and just blurt them out, but then again sometimes I do need Rachel's help convincing Al. I think I have already convinced him on this trip for next Christmas though. He noticed me studying my DVC points charts, AGAIN, and when I told him that leading up to Christmas it is less points to go than when we usually go in June he seemed to like the idea!

Christmas 08...but my kids don't know yet. I may not tell them until the last minute, so please let Rachel know to keep it under her hat with Emily. (although I may have already said something to Emily, but I can't remember to save my life!)

OMG!!! That means I won't get anything done for the next 2 years.

OMG isn't that just too funny. We are waiting for dates also. We are trying for Sept 09 though... we want to celebrate oldest son's 18th birthday on the ship. Our AAA agent is waiting to book us a cat 1 or 2 so we can all go again in the same cabin. So we most likely won't be on there with you all for KK2 unless we can't get our category until October.

we know the feeling all too well. it was our 3rd try. cass and robs 5th i think.
we got the dolphin encounter cancelled. robin was a little bummed out about that.( i think she spent that money on jewelery instead. )
dont be discouraged.... theres always KK2

Yeah, we will just have to try again. I was bummed though since I was going to do tandem with our 10-year old--would have been a great memory.

Hi Jen Rachel and I were talking about the cruise the other night, well actually we have been taking about it constantly since getting home and I said I never even saw Thomas on the ship. Did you really bring him with everytime I saw you he wasn't with you. Someone told me you couldn't get him out of the kids club. That is great that he had so much fun!

It would be great if you could join us!

I can understand about not bringing Kira - I/we attempted a couple of trips when Thomas was very young (7 months, 1 1/2 years, 2 1/2 years). To be honest, now that he's 4 1/2, this was the first trip that felt like a VACATION, instead of the "daily routine" in another place.

I suppose now we should all join the 2009 dates thread on the DCL board....

Victoria that's awful 3 excursions cancelled on you Part of me wishes our 2:00 banana boat ride that went out at about 2:30 (they were running behind) had been cancelled. I rode in the front and when we got out in the open water I got all the ocean spray in my face and I think I drank half the ocean too , especially on the way back when we were going into the wind and the waves, aside from that it was alot of fun though. I hadn't even realized they cancelled the para-sailing Apparently the winds were too strong after noon--we were so sad and we really didn't expect that anything was going to cancel on us that day!! Now you just have to go again to get all those missed excursions in!

Zachary says we have to go again when he is 10 so that gives us 5 years to save up.

Speaking of '09 - Neil has worked out his shift pattern - yep - he's opn nights shift on cruise week - that means officially he cant book any annual leave - his words were "well, I'll just have to work something out hten wont I!"

WOW! - his normal reaction would have been - "pick a different date"...he must really wanna be back on that ship with you folks

So who else is seriously considering that double dip in Oct 09? ITS THE ONLY THING THATS KEEPING ME SANE AT THE MOMENT IS THINKING I'M GOING BACK IN TWO YEARS - I'm excited already!

I havent even thought about what we'll do in '08 - it will have to be something in Europe

Anyway, have a great day everyone.

My travel agent just called to chat with me about my trip and I brought up about how there'd been rumours about Disney going to Alaska and she said that they'd had a meeting a few weeks ago and this same rumor was brought up there..... maybe it's really going to happen

Bob told his sister about the trip and now she's dying to go on a cruise and their parents too perhaps....

We'll see....................

Cass we had that happen to us once too. We didn't rebook on board because Al was saying at the time next cruise should be on a different cruise line to give something else a try and then within a week or two of being home we had convinced him to book with Disney again. Now I just atomatically rebook while on board to get the discount and incentive and we can always move the date or worse yet cancel if we had to. I wish DCL rewarded their repeat cruisers with incentives similar to rebooking on board like some of the other cruise lines do! Hopefully they will in the future!

Well Rob and I talked it over and we MIGHT be joining you guys for KK2.

There's a lot of ifs for it work out... and our little pincess would not be joining us this time.

I just wish DCL had a better policy for their rebooking discount as we did not rebook onboard since we really didn't think we would be back for awhile.
