Yeah I'm here-- sort of. I've been working on the Computerized system for my christmas/Halloween lights. I just got it working. Looks great!

Lousy isn't it. Of course my TA has not gotten back to me. I'll probably have to go in an see her personally.

My first plan was to go through Dreams Unlimited for this cruise. (I like rewarding people for services that I find valuable. Dreams sponsors this board so I wanted to go through them. But, my previouse TA at AAA was so excellent, that I wanted to give her more business. (she really went above and beyond) Unfortunately, AAA promoted her. (good for her bad for me) and I got another TA. My guess is that my previous TA got the commission and this new TA is doing her old cases because she was told to. Thus poor service.
 
Guess I'll go outside and scoop the dog poop. That's my Friday night entertainment. :thumbsup2 Did I ever mention that last year I was going to start my own dog poop scooping business? But the very week I sent my application in for my name registration and was going to order my business supplies, someone else in my small town started their own business. My insurance agent thought I was joking when I called him about insurance and what it was for. My name was going to be "Reporting For Doody". Pretty clever I thought. :lmao: Fast forward a year, the other guy is out of business and I'm back to thinking I may do it. However, these gas prices are killer on the profit margin! OK, I'll quit babbling.

Is anyone else having trouble printing out the cruise contract on the DCL website? I was able to check in my kids in the clubs the other day but I didn't have ink in my printer, so I didn't get to print the signature form.....what is up with the DCL website lately?
 
Just call the main number and ask if she is in. Ask to speak to her. If they say she is unavailable, tell them you will HOLD. If they say it may be a while, tell them that's fine, she doesn't return my calls anyways, I can hold.

They won't want you tying up one of their lines.

Personally, I'd just drive over there. Doesn't matter how far it is. Just get it done.

Scott said that he will try to drive over there on Monday or Tuesday. He does not have a membership so he might not be able to get in. If he can not do it then I don't have a time to do it until 5th of Oct.

I am hoping they will let him in. I am not sure about the return time either. I am tempted to call DCL back again.

That is too bad because agents like her take away from the value of good travel agents! I "gave" my cruise plans to the TA I went with only because she was someone I knew. I figured I'd let her have the commission. I did the majority of the plans anyway and the only things I didn't do were because I felt she should work for some of the commission. Regarding our flight changes, she said that either I could call Delta myself or she could handle it. Considering she is getting paid, I let her take care of it. Since I used to be a TA, I kind of have a soft spot for how hard they (most of them) work. Anyway, if we rebook on board (which I think we will) then I'll transfer the ressie to Dreams. My agent is *fine* but we are not getting any sort of OBC or anything, so in a way, we are losing out because I booked with her.

I was just trying to change our flight info, payment method, and print the contract and was getting kicked out over and over. I gave up before I smashed my computer pieces. I hope whatever the problem is, they fix it SOON. :badpc:

So I just tried calling but they are already closed for the day so I will have to try again next week.

I also just tried to access DCl and it says that the site is to busy to try again later.

Thanks. :) It took me months to come up with. I researched this type of business for 9 months before deciding to do it. I had my co-workers help me with names, and we got lots of hilarious ones. I have heard of Wholly Crap before. :lmao:
 
I tell you, between your experiences and mine. I'm never using a TA again!




This is what frightens me about our schedule. In Atlanta I have 37 minutes to get from flight to flight. Laura says the Atlanta terminal sprawls all over the place! Next our Flight leave Orlando at 11:45. That leaves us very little time for that morning.


I agree with you 100% no more TA. I am doing all the stinking work myself as it is. I have had way to much trouble with this trip. So you are leaving at 11:45, 5 minutes before us. I find these time strange.
 
I just emailed my TA about our air arrangements. (since my guess is that Disney will not help) I worry about that 37minute connection in Atlanta and our 11:45 departure from Orlando.

Please let me know what your TA says. After we get back home tonight I will be emailing mine again. I will probably post it on here for everyone to give me their opinion on. I hate having to be rude and snotty to someone but I am done playing nice.

You can only be nice for so long! Since the TA is getting paid essentially by you then they should be responding to you promptly. This TA doesn't sound too concerned with repeat business. Do what you have to do.

I just got into DCl and I know have flight numbers. Why she could not give them to me before I have no idea. But I have them now. This is just more stuff to send off to the TA.

Sometimes you have to be rude, especially when you're not getting the service you're paying for.

Hope everything works out for you.

In all the years we've traveled, we've have never used a travel agent. When we fly, I look for deals on the internet myself. We never buy pkg. deals. I've never seen one that would actually save us any money.

Re: DCL... we used a TA for our first cruise and this last cruise, but we still found our own flights.

I just never trusted them to do it to my safisfaction. (Mike would laugh at that) :rolleyes:

You might have a point there. Our first TA got the money and the last 4 or so have had to do it because they were told to therefore not caring about us one bit. Sorry hit the keyboard so hard that the keys all stuck together.
