The only saving grace with booking the air through the cruise company is they are responsible for getting you to the ship if there are delays.

I just fly in a day or two early instead. It is much cheaper.

Now you know for the next time Steve. And when is that next time? Did you fill in Nancy's table?

I'm not sure. I think that I will book a cruise on the ship and then see if Disney is going to Europe next year, then do that. If not, It'll be an eastern probably.

Nancy's table?

:lmao: :lmao:

I have had it with Road Runner and Time Warner. I'm tired of getting timed out before I finish typing an email and sick of my internet, digital cable and digital phone going out all the time.

:) Ok, I'm done venting. :)

You know Robin, me too!
Our connection goes out quite a bit, and our phone too:mad:
They've come and adjusted our connection outside a couple of times but the phone still goes out a lot.

We're switching to Verizon Fios when it's available in our area....they told me about 3 to 6 months:)

Hey check out this Cruise tip:

Free Up Memory Cards
If you have a digital camera with a memory card, you know how fast those memory cards fill up. If you run out of room and don’t want to delete any precious photos, stop by Shutters, and they can download the contents of your memory card to a CD for about $15.

Hi everyone,

Really quite sad around here. Yesterday, we were told that our dear dog, Sasha, has a malignant tumor on her leg. The lab tests says it's "highly suggestive of sarcoma" which means cancer. :sad1: She's 9.5 years old, and looks and acts quite healthy. She has a surgical consultation tomorrow, and if they agree with the surgery, it will probably be on Monday. I'm not even sure yet what kind of cancer. She's been the best dog, so very affectionate. We had her long before we had kids. Our hearts are breaking.

I'll keep everyone posted, but from what I've been reading on canine cancers, and the size of the tumor, it's not looking too good.

Tina, so sorry
We love our kitties and ferret more than most of our family members.
But then they are our family.

My favorite season is Fall. I love the colors and the cooler weather and the smells and everything about it.

Oh, me too!:thumbsup2

But seriously, I don't dread the snow.
Because I love curling up inside with a nice fire going and lounging around the couch in my comfy jammies or long johns and a blankie and being lazy! LOVE IT!

Also, love the fact that I don't shovel!
I've hired someone to plow my driveway since the second year I bought my home.
Only the steps need to be shoveled and I have Sean do that!

For $15, just got get a 1-2GB card at Office Max before you leave. That will hold a few hundred pictures. :thumbsup2

Not to mention a CD will only hold about 700+ MB, so your 1 GB card won't fit on the CD.

How about this idea:

Here’s a great keepsake for your next cruise. Before you leave, download a good map of the area you’ll be sailing from the Internet. Bring along a red marker, too. Now as you sail, mark your ship’s course on the map. During free moments, take this map around the ship and ask various crew members to sign it for you. Go to the Captain’s Reception for his/her signature and any other officers in attendance. Now take it home and frame it. Inexpensive, but oh so special! [Editor’s Note: If you forget to get the map before you board, look for a suitable map in the gift shop—I’ve seen them for sale before.]

Wow, are they that cheap now?
I didn't realize.... GREAT!

Argling? What's that? Just curious....

Jen, Brenda writes Trip Reports and one of them is called: Argle Bargle or Foofarah. She has a link in her siggie line. Click on one of them for the funniest TR you will ever read!!

Just ordered a rash guard for my DH for the cruise. His birthday is next week and he really liked the ones I had bought for our boys. I hope he likes it. :thumbsup2

What's a Rash Guard? (I'm picturing Gold Bond for Men.) :lmao:

Nancy's table?

Steve, I added another Table to the Yahoo Database. It's called, Who What Where When. Just a little something for us all to see who is planning on rebooking on board and when. Check it out and add your info. :thumbsup2

That's a cool idea for kids. Especially ones who want to do a show and tell when they get back to school.

sorry to ask questions but here goes:

1. what is Celebration of the Journey? is it worth putting the kids in in

2. when shows are offered at 2pm - are they less busy or busier than the 2 evenign time slots

3. in the new Navigators I cant find the Tour of the DCL Kitchens that I have heard about - anyone able to find them?

4. What time do we HAVE to be off the ship on Saturday morning (I am going to stay as long as I can as my flight is not until 7pm)

thanks'

Yes. I would go to Office Max or Office Depot where you don't have to mail any rebates. Check this weekend's paper. Usually on the front or back cover, but may also be inside.

If I see something this weekend, I'll post where I found it.

I don't think I can stick around for 89 more posts until we hit 30K. Good luck to all of you who can.:cheer2:

Of course Rob is out of town, so what does Kira do??

She took her first step today!!! :yay:

The past few days she has been standing a lot on her own for about 10-30 seconds and today she was standing all on her own for about a minute as I was watching her and then she looked at me and took a step then tried to take another one and she fell on her bum

Congrats! Yeah Kira!

How old is she now?

Sean took his first steps about 10 1/2 months, of course his father wasn't at home at that time either, I called him up at work to tell him though right away.

MG wanted some Kira pics so ....:rolleyes1

I think I can only help with #4 and I might even be incorrect on that one but I believe it is 9:00 a.m.

Where are you going until your flight leaves? The airport Hyatt rents Day Rooms but I'm not sure of the price. It may be worth it to let the kids play around in the pool and just relax.

And Carrie, loved yours too!:thumbsup2

Some of them were really awesome, like the butterfly one.
Do you have a really great camera for closeups?
Mine will get blurry on something that close.

Oh, I'm so doing this tip!

Unless I have Nancy do all my ironing instead!:rotfl:

Avoid Ironing
Despite how well you pack, your clothes may still end up wrinkled. If time is more “pressing” than money, consider sending your wrinkled dress clothes out to be pressed by the Disney Cruise Line laundry when you first arrive. You’ll find an order form and bag in your stateroom. Figure $4 per evening dress, $3.50 per two-piece suit, and $1.00–$2.25 for smaller pieces like skirts, blouses, pants, and jackets. Just be sure to indicate that you want “pressing only” on your order form.
