I think I'm calling it a night too. I have some bloodwork being done first thing in the morning and I've been fasting for it. I'm so stinkin' hungry right now that my best bet is to go to bed instead.

Then after the bloodwork, I get to go to the Dentist for my crown!! Yippee, Skippee!! :sad2: I won't be eating until noon.:scared: I'm going to be one crabby Mother Goose tomorrow.:rotfl:

Hey Nancy, How did it all go?

I too went to the dentist....
need two fillings....yuck...
they wanted to schedule them this Wed. but I said "hey, I'm on vacation for the next 2 weeks, can I come back after that? I don't want to spoil my vacation time anymore by coming to the dentist."

Then I too did bloodwork. I'm done for the day.

But I didn't have to fast.

Did you take Brenda's advice about having a pomegranite kir and some french cheese and steak after it all?

Or would you rather a cold beer and a hot dog?

I would like to say that pomegranite (sp?) kir royales and stinky smelling French cheese with grilled steak is a great way to end your fast, Mother Foose... I mean Goose. :lmao:

I'me probably not suipposed to post when I';ve been drinking like this but I wanted to say hi.

"HI!"

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

See evberyone on Friday 'cause I already know what kind of week is waiting for me when I get to my desk tomorrow morning. :goodvibes

Oh, I'll drink to that!

Hi Brenda,

How are you doing?

Honestly I still feel like I am MIA. The party was west side for us so about 45 minute drive. It was a fantasy football party "Big Drinking party" So we normally crash at their house and come home mid day sunday. But last night it actually was a surprise anniversary party for us along with the football party. Neither Scott or I drank much so we managed to make our way home about midnight and then I slept till 10:30. We had all the kids with us this time at the party so we did not really feel like making them sleep there also.

Hey Happy Anniversary Carrie and Scott!

When is it?
Didn't you say it's been about 6 years I think!

DH here...So I can not count. It will be quite for us tonight on Dis. I need to draft my team for FFL. I have the #2 spot.

I drink Pepsi also, like it better than Coke.
Perhaps 8- 10 years ago I came up with this idea that people that tend to be Democrats drink Pepsi
and
Republican's drink Coke.

Just based on my observations of friends, co-workers, etc.

Funny but about 4 years later some uppity political commentator came up with the same thing as me, Ha! I said it first..... years before.....must have gotten around quite a bit and he heard it and claimed it for his own. I never liked that guy anyway. Initials are BO

Looks like we'll all be Republicans then for a week, DCL only has Coke.

I just finished The House Next Door by Anne Siddons. Pretty good book, slow start but it really picks up and knocks your socks off at the end. One of my all-time faves is The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger--awesome!

I was dying to read The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger, but I got it and for some reason I just couldn't get into it.
I still have it, just in case I can try again some day.

The only books to have really captured my attention in the past few years have been:
Memoirs of a Geisha
Life of Pi........... book about a boy and a tiger that survive a shipwreck and
Stiff...... the book about what they do with cadavers donated to science
Harry Potter books
Wicked .... about the wizard of Oz's wicked witch
Deadly Feasts.............. about prions and mad cow disease

Every time something seems to sound interesting to me, it just doesn't seem to cut it.

Right now I'm reading
Don't Kiss Them GoodBye by Allison Dubois.
the real life medium whose life inspired the show MEDIUM.

It's interesting, but not a page turner.

Ok, got a big question for you all....

Need some advice...................

This weekend Bob and I were supposed to go see Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Philadelphia Eagles in Pittsburgh.
Bob's favorite team are the Steelers.

He was so excited and his sister lives there so we'd be driving there with a couple of Bob's friends and his stepdad and then all hanging out for a day before the game then going early to Heinz Stadium and doing a tailgate party before the game and then driving home on Monday.

Well, after it was all planned and he bought the tickets, his boss told him that his vacation time was DENIED for Monday, so he couldn't go.

He is SO dissappointed.

I said we'd go another time.

He said..... " don't you know that the season tickets are so much more expensive and they're already sold out!?"

Well, I checked into it!

They're not sold out and they aren't too outrageous.... perhaps $100-$150 a piece.

Anyway, Bob's birthday is in November, on the 13th. There are 2 games in Pittsburgh with the Steelers then.

One is the Steelers vs. the Cleveland Browns
it is on Sunday 11/11 at 1pm at Heinz Stadium.

The other is Steelers vs. the Miami Dolphins
it is on Monday 11/26 at 8:30 pm also at Heinz Stadium.

I'm thinking of buying tickets for his birthday to one of these games.
Which one would be better and why?

Please give me your opinions because:

I really never, ever watch football and have no clue!

Thanks!
Jeff, what's your opinion?
