Afternoon all. Off to read for 20 minutes while at lunch. Talk later.

Cruise November 2005 Formal night, with 2 other single girl cruiser's I hooked up with for the cruise (we met on DIS boards of course!_

Wasn't our server quite a looker!;) Ivan was his name.

He really wasn't that good though, he'd forget stuff a lot, but his being very good eye candy, made us not mind too much about his serving abilities.

Son, Sean dressed in his tux for formal night along with the son's of the two girls I was hanging out with on our cruise:

Here's one of my favorite cruise photos:

This little boy asleep at the table next to ours!

I wasn't even going to go there:rotfl2:

I wasn't going to either but I could not stay away from it. I read his question a few times and then passed it up without posting but I kept going back to it so I finally posted.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

That is ok I need to spend time going through things for the garag sale this weekend, I still need to find my dis tag bags. (that is making me real mad that I can not find those) and then I would like to get some more packing done. So I will be able to keep busy tonight.

Had ours this last weekend, we added $120 to our cruise spending fund.

Don't think it's that rare.
Wasn't it Cass's husband who spent almost his entire cruise in bed with it?
Once you get it it's hard to shake.

I get motion sick a lot the older I get.
Used to be fine on buses, then went on a school trip with my son's class, sat in the back of the bus.
OMG I got so sick!

Last 2 cruises, I took bonine everyday when I woke up. That way, no chances.

I say, better safe than sorry it you're prone to motion sickness, take a bonine or less drowsy dramamine daily.
I don't want to spoil my vacation.

I will be playing it safe. I'll have the First Aid kit loaded with Motion Sickness meds. (My son can be prone) But I'll bet that we barely feel the ocean.

And, now that the menus are done, are we going to get a QotD again?

Here's one:

For the repeat cruisers, is there any public space on the ship you haven't been to in all your cruises?

For the newbies, is there a particular public spot you have no desire/interest to go to?

I have never been in Studio Sea (or is it Studio C). 4 cruises, not once.

I haven't been to any of the kid's facilities except for the teen clubs on both ships.
I haven't been to the exercise facility or to where they steer the ship.

Bob asked about the steering place.
Do they allow you to tour that?
Do they allow you to hold the wheel? Take a photo?

Hi Jeff. Bye Jeff. Back to work for me. I saw Linda was on here on Sat. I only read 11 pages. More reading for me tonight. I'll talk to you guys tonight!!!!:thumbsup2

I got this from castawayclub.com.......Shutters info...

Some services and prices are listed below:

Any 10 6x8 photos: $84.95 (save $15 over individual photo prices)
Any 15 6x10 photos: $119.95 (save $30)

Does anyone know if these are the current prices?

Hi All..as you can see I'm back. The In-Laws have left and Rick and I have a day on our own.

Welcome to all the newbies.

Watched a good movie over the weekend - The Lake House. Bit of a chick flick, but well worth watching.

Also have a good bottle of wine - Banfi Rosa Regale. You can get it on the Disney boats, that's where we first tried it. It's lovely, but a bit pricey onboard. Does anyone know if we can pick up a few bottles in Orlando for the cruise? A question for wine diva perhaps?

Heather

I am sure you can buy it in Orlando, but I am not sure about pricing--I would guess around $20US as that's what we sell it for here in Wisconsin.

Hey Nancy, How did it all go?

I too went to the dentist....
need two fillings....yuck...
they wanted to schedule them this Wed. but I said "hey, I'm on vacation for the next 2 weeks, can I come back after that? I don't want to spoil my vacation time anymore by coming to the dentist."

Then I too did bloodwork. I'm done for the day.

But I didn't have to fast.

Did you take Brenda's advice about having a pomegranite kir and some french cheese and steak after it all?

Or would you rather a cold beer and a hot dog?

Hey Rose, The dentist did not go too well this morning. I did go back to work, but left ater two hours. I'm a bit nauseous from the novacaine, and the pain is pretty intense. I'll be fine though. Thanks for asking. I'll get the results of my bloodwork next week and no I did not take B's advice on the food. I'd rather have your suggestion.:thumbsup2

hi everybody ,
I am sure this has been asked before , what are you expected to wear for formal and semi-formal nights ? cath and olivia are sorted with nice stuff but do i need a tux or new suit? will some smart pants and a smart shirt without tie be ok for formal night?

the problem i have is i have lost around 1.5 stone since taking up road cycle raceing and a lot of my clothes no longer fit ,

thanks

mediclman

Sean, I'm agreeing with everyone else here. My boys are wearing nice pants and a shirt & tie.:)

I've never been to the Buena Vista Theater (I forgot about it) and I'm sure there were a few bars that didn't see us.

Nancy--

:lmao: :lmao: I am making your recipe for Zucchini bread--anyway it says to add the sugar and you have NO sugar listed as an ingredient. You must have been dieting the day you typed it! :lmao: :lmao: Anway, I googled the name of it and found the exact recipe--it was on the Milwaukee newspaper's site so I was pretty sure I found the right one! I think I will try it WITH the sugar--I think it will be better that way--I'll let you know how it turned out. :hippie:
