Rat's Judy, the pics didn't come through!

My ex-wife's family owns land in the Grass Valley area. It is absolutely pockmarked with mineshafts. You have to be careful because the high grass covers them and it is very easy to fall into one. They are VERY deep. They always seemed to have a story of a cow falling into them.

My dad grew up in Grass Valley and Nevada City. My Grandma Lived in Marysville until she passed away 3 years ago. She owned about 25 acres of land in the hills of grass valley and we used to go every summer.

Small World, not many people know where it is.

For anyone who is experienced with camcorders.....

Before the cruise, we are purchasing a hard disk drive camcorder. Rob is doing the research on it. I thought I could contribute to his research by asking you guys if you have had any experience with these types of camcorders....

dont know if this helps, but we have the sony dvd handycam and we love it, we bought it just before the 2005 cruise and its been great for us.

We are back on our side of town today. Last night was fun. They ended up having it be a surprise party / fantasy football party. It was really nice. I had no clue that the party was for us for our anniversary until I saw the cake and cards. It was really nice. The last thing I was expecting.

Yes, it is in the Travel Section. Near where the Fodor's or Frommer's books are. It is (well at least mine is) blue.

Great! I'm going to get one... I know it is late but it doesn't matter.

It was the morning, so we were pulling in.Which brings up a tip from me. Cell phones will work from about 11:00 or so while we're pulling in. So if you want to call someone back on the mainland while we're still at sea, here's your chance. Plus, you won't waste any of your onshore time.

I didn't realize that either... that will be good because the boys can call their dad and my nephews can call whomever they have this need to call.
