Do they have kids Ellis's age?

Not sure - he might be the only kid there, but we'll take a bag full of toys to keep him busy.

They have two dogs, neither Ellis or I are good with animals. He is outright frightened and I try to smile but am really thinking get the thing off me!

I think wina and flowers are fine. A plate of cookies or fruit for the kids is a thought if there is going to be a lot if kids there. But that isn't even necessary. Have fun!!!

Men - just sent Neil to get more beers and wine and the flowers....he remembered the alcohol .....good idea - cookies! - Ellis could help me make them this afternoon

We will be dropping our rental car off at Budget at 9:30 and should be at the port by 10 AM!!!

Depending on the "L" we intend getting there as early as possible. I'll be busy photographing the ship from every angle and squeeling with delight and excitement and jumping up and down so I need to get there early to get all that out the way before they let me into the terminal

Is this to clear immigration before we get off the Magic?

If this is true it'll be great - or -will everyone have to go through immigration and then it'll take forever, which is not good.

Carrie doesn't it feel good to have another thing done! If all 5 of you are in pirate outfits it would make a fun family picture. Tell Kelsey that Rachel is dressing up.

We just bought DH pirate costume. I could not run around anymore hoping to find bits and pieces to put together for him so we just order one online.


Now here is the kicker. The 3 of us are done. But he is going to ask the older 2 today if they want to participate in it. If so that means I have to look for 2 more outfits.

Karen - ITV2 have Airport - Florida on at the moment. It's a repeat, but it brings the holiday a bit closer.

As for DH, when he is on vacation he tends to try and put the badge away, plus the badge does no good on a cruise ship, thank god. He will however intervene in a situation if he sees necessary. Quick story, on our first trip to WDW(pre 9/11) we were on our way to the Tampa airport and got lost and missed our flight. Well another gentleman had missed his flight and was quite upset. After about 5 min of this guy ranting and raving on the poor airline rep, my DH got up and went over to to help the poor lady and told the gentleman that he needed to calm down or he was going to call security. The guy said some obsenities back to my DH, and DH instructed the agent to call security. The guy said for what, and at that point my husband raised his voice at the guy and loudly stated "for disturbing the peace". Well I got scared that DH was going to have to "restrain" the guy, but Security came and took him away, and we got fly
1st class all the way home!

Carrie Rachel is wondering if you would like to come over and help her paint? She and Al put 2 coats of white primer on this week because we are painting over purple. She wants to paint yellow, pink and white stripes. I don't think she realizes how much work it is going to be taping the walls to be able to paint the stripes. I'm sure it willl look very nice when we are finally done though. Right now we have alot of her bedroom stuff in totes and bags in our family room so our house is in much disarray.

It is going to be a lot of work. Are your walls textured? That makes it even harder. Tell her that I want to see pictures when it is all done. She needs to have a painting party and invite a few of her girlfriends over to help her with it. That way the girls do the work and all you have to do is provide snacks and music to keep them going.

I am actually going over to DH boss house in 2 weeks to paint 2 of his rooms for him. But he is just doing the basic one color for each room.

Rachel glad to see that you are starting to realize this is going to be quite a project. Please change your mind and lets just do solid yellow or pink

Ok here is a thought for you. I posted pictures of Kelsey's room not to long ago. Hers is all yellow on the walls and ceiling with purple trim, so the baseboards, window seals, and door are purple. Then we added purple window treatments and a yellow and purple comforter just to add to it all. That would be a lot easier.

DH wants to be at the port as soon as they will let us in. We are hoping the shuttle will go up that day, but I read yesterday that the current shuttle that just went up has a gouge in its belly. If the gouge is too bad then they will have to stay in space until they can send up another shuttle, no later than early Oct.. So I am keeping my fingers crossed that it isn't bad, especially for the safety of the astronauts.

I want to get to the port as soon as it opens as I would like to see if we can upgrade to a cat 9 or higher when we get there. I have read that you should be there at 8:30, but don't they open the terminal at 10? Has anyone done this?

We don't know We are at the mercy of the shuttle bus. From the airport hotel to the terminal. I am hoping it picks up early. But we have no clue.

Nancy hope the tooth is feeling OK today!

We have a change bucket too. Al thinks I'm crazy because instead of paying for things in dollars and cents I just pay dollars and love getting change to throw in the vacation cup. I have even been known to buy change off of my co-workers when they are complaining their purses are gettting too heavy because of the change in them We usuallu have well over $100 in it every vacation, in June I think we were close to $200.

I have a change basket. I started it back in March. So I am a little late on it. And it is only me who puts money in it. Scotts change goes to paying allowances. I don't do very well I am afraid because I tend to pay for everything with my debit card. My hopes is to cash it in in the first week of Oct. I want enough to cover our mud room. If I have anything above that then I will be so excited. I started counting it 2 weeks ago when the kids were counting their banks. I think I was at $60 without counting all the pennies. So I hope I can make another $30 between now and then.

It feels wonderful. I am hoping to do our shirts this weekend. As for the older 2 dressing up. Who knows. Kelsey is a pain in the rear right now. She is doing excatly the oppisite of what we would like her to do just so she can upset us. I feel her mom has a lot of influence on that. But I have mentioned the pirate thing to her before and I always get the I don't care to discuss it attitude. I think Kyle will want to do it. So we will see. I know Kelsey will not want to wear a shirt that is red with her red hair so that might be why she won't do it.

18 more posts from this one and we will be in 8th place. 7 isn't too far behind that either. 6 is in the mid 20's and 5 is in the mid 21's. I think we can get ourselves easily into 5th place before we go.

4 is in the mid 31's, but moving slow. That would be a stretch, but doable based on how much you guys have been posting.

We might just be able to do it. We have some heavy posters here.
