p.s. Stuart really isn't in as bad a mood as he appears. He's trying to be a tough pirate!

Well he looks like a tough pirate. Your little pirate princess is adorable too. With the weather being so nice lately you must of had an awesome time!

my step-father was born and raised in Sandusky... he's a huge fan of the Tribe. Jay and I always root for them by default (as long as it doesn't run counter to the Redbirds' interests). actually I was thinking a Milwaukee / Cleveland world series would be kinda fun... two years in a row where the media giants would be forced to cry into their beer because no "marketable" team would be playing in the fall classic.

bah! real baseball fans watch the series as long as it's good baseball. so there! :)

Could anyone translate this please?:lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao:

I believe I better head off to bed too. Got lots to do tomorrow and the kids will be getting me up early as usual.:)
Night all!!!!

The cable guy turned out to be a computer geek and he showed me how to get out of the BSOD! (It happened while he was here!!) He's coming over in a couple weeks to clean up the 'puter.

:cool1: Nancy's pc is sorted:banana:

Ok I have popped in here and there and haven't really introduced myself. Since everyone seems to have gone to bed I thought this would be a good time, with all of the posts I felt like if I did it then I would be interuppting something. I have really enjoyed reading all of your posts, well some of the posts there are so many. And I think Cass has done an awesome job on the website. I hope to meet some of you on the cruise, although DH is shy..well wary of meeting strangers I think it has something to do with the job:rolleyes1 . DD is also very shy due to having a disability, but we are working on that as well.
So here it goes.....
My name is Becky. I will be traveling with my husband Sean and 14yo daughter Sarah. This is our 2nd cruise as a family, but I have been on 3 DCL cruises total. I also have a son Devin who is 18 and not cruising due to starting college this year, which is hard for me because I think I am too young to have a college student. We live in the Central Valley in CA where I am the head secretary of a elementary school, DH is a deputy sheriff. We are DVC owners and like all of you I am a disney fanatic. In fact at school I am the resident travel agent when a staff member goes to disney. I tend to lurk more than I post, I just feel real self consious about it for some reason, I think it is like email you are just not sure how you come across, but I have found DIS people to be very accepting.

Glad you popped on and introduced yourself. Pop on more often - we're not too scary:hug: Just jump right in - you wont interupt anything. Everyone is very friendly. My dh doesnt get on here either - he's quite quiet too. Your hubbys job sounds really interesting - wow! - a real sherrif! - my ds would be soooo impressed. He had his photo taken last year standing by a sherrif car and thought it was really cool:cool1:

Stuart's party was a big sucess! The Kids all had a great time. It was Pirate themed. We served Pizza and Fruit Kabobs to the kids. Had a Treasure Hunt. (I planted clues about the house and yard that led to the sandbox, which I had buried a bunch of plastic jewels, gold coins and beaded necklaces.) Laura made each of the children a flag and I cut out some sponges in various "pirate" shapes and the kids all made their own pirate flags. Here's a few pics of the two:

He really couldn't wear it long. He's outgrown it before he even had a chance to wear it. Oh well, he's been telling me that he wants to be Capt'n Hook on the cruise.

Lovely photos:goodvibes - his outfit is simialr to Ellis'. I hope he can squeeze into it by october:rolleyes1

We've been invited over to the neighbours tonight for a bbq:banana:

The trouble is we arent sure what to take with us. I will take a bottle of wine and flowers for her and Neil will take beers, but he cant decide how many to take:rotfl2: - he doesnt want to look like an alcoholic and take a crate but doesnt want to look mean either.

Should I take some food too? I dont wnat her to think her food isnt good enough but dont want to look like I havent bothered either. Wine and flowers enough or food too?

There will be other neighbours we havent met yet so it will be nice to make some new friends. Ellis has been warned to be on his best behavoiur.:rolleyes1

Welcome again Becky and family. Like Karen said, don't be shy...just jump in. Sean will be happy to know that we have another sheriff amongst the Konked Kruisers (KK's). Mark (dizneycrazy4) is also in law enforement. They'll have a lot to talk about on the cruise. I see you are on the Repo next year too. So are Chris (A fat english gent...but he's not really fat, just PHAT!! ), Heather (GOS), and Jeff (jldsmd). :cheer2: Hope to see you around here more often. Just so you know, we have a DISmeet on Saturday, Oct 20th at the Mickey Pool at 3:00. Stop in and say hi. :yay:

10 weeks to go...wow. When will we get our tickets, etc??? Not that I'm in a hurry or anything.

Nancy - have we got an update on the Distag? Should I go to Yahoo?

Heather

Good morning Heather:)

I agree, we better behave ourselves. But then again, maybe having two cops as KK's that gives us Carte Blanche to misbehave a little. Mark and Sean...you have our backs, right?

No update on tag yet but I did receive 12 PM's and messages already. Just waiting for a few more responses.

Forgot to answer you yesterday on the Tooth Dr. I called him first thing in the morning and his office is closed all week. I did get an emergency number but I WILL NOT go to any other dentist. :sad2: Kristin did a little patch job for me to tide me over the weekend. I'm glad all the money I spent on her dental hygiene education paid off. Too bad she didn't stick with it. I'm being careful to just eat soft stuff too. :upsidedow

Well, we're off to buy our travelers checks and to turn in our cash bucket. Every night we toss all of our spare change into an old WDW popcorn bucket. It's full to the top with change and even some small lottery winnings in it. It should pay for all the baskets I'm buying from Shirley at The Perfect Gift for the cruise.:dance3: I'll report back with the final count.:woohoo:

Later everyone....:flower3:

I need to just hand off the camera to someone, I never get pics of myself! Laura was nearly as hard to pin down as Stu was last night. As far as svelte goes... I'm not sure. I know I'm lighter and Most certainly most of my pants are too big, but I'd still like to see less in the mid-section.

That's a great Idea! I'll need to do something like it.

BTW: As of yesterday, I have all of our spending money saved up for the cruise with a bit more to start paying off our next Disney vacation!

Good morning everyone :) I am so glad it is Sat.!!!! Yesterday was one of the busiets days we've ever had at work and I put in 2.5 hours of overtime so I was too exhausted to get on the DIS last night. It was very nice though Rachel made dinner last night and a very nice dinner at that and this was the second time she made dinner this week. My baby is growing up.
For a change we don't have much planned this weekend so hopefully I will be able to stay caught up here. I have a bout 12 pages to go back to catch up now.

Have a great weekened everyone!

Cheryl

Carrie Rachel is wondering if you would like to come over and help her paint? ;) She and Al put 2 coats of white primer on this week because we are painting over purple. She wants to paint yellow, pink and white stripes. I don't think she realizes how much work it is going to be taping the walls to be able to paint the stripes. I'm sure it willl look very nice when we are finally done though. Right now we have alot of her bedroom stuff in totes and bags in our family room so our house is in much disarray.

How are you painting it, what colors, patterns, themes. I love painting. I find it so rewarding.

Susan keep those pictures coming! They are beautiful! Is that a walk way going down to near the base of the fall on this picture. My mom and I went to Niagra Falls aboutt 22 years ago and I don't remember much about what was there (my brain is too crowded with memories of Disney vacations :lmao: ) other than it was beautiful. From what I remember the Canadian side was much nicer then, I remeber beautiful gardens. Did you go to both sides?

Rachel and I see Mickey and Disney characters in the clouds all the time.

Here's one for Rachael...Pictures really don't even do it justice.

Mark are you too making fun of all the laundry we do just to keep our families in clean clothes :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Good luck in the soccer tournament this weekend :wizard: !!!

Mark here...

Just popping in to catch up on the last day or so while I do a few loads of laundry :laundy: No, really I am....

I think wina and flowers are fine. A plate of cookies or fruit for the kids is a thought if there is going to be a lot if kids there. But that isn't even necessary. Have fun!!!

Yes Missy we miss you! Come out back and chat with us!

Cheryl

Missy is camping this weekend with her family. She has been lurking. She also agrees to one more tagger. I keep telling her just jump on and sy a quick hi and she says in just a minute and she never gets around to it.
