Scott here... thanks Cass, I have you marked down. Can you spare the room for some more helpers to get ya moved? We could use a break from the heat
Absolutely! And it really has cooled off here so you can enjoy the coolness
Cass, your anniversary is on my birthday! Cool!
Cool! It is also Brenda's birthday too! In case you don't know, Brenda was booked on our cruise but she ended up having to cancel. We are actually gonna meet up with her and her hubby Jason ON the 17th.
hey, we were trying to clean it up for you guys but truth be told we still both have a scar from when you and rob pushed us down.
Shhh, don't tell people that, they think we are mild mannered Canadians!
boy we are really getting our post count up. we may overtake cass soon. sweet revenge....kira must be keeping her busy. or she is working on another secret project.:
She was up all night, not feeling good at all. Plus she hardly slept at all yesterday. I hope she gets some sleep today. But I have my nights to catch up to you

In between packing of course
I think she is lurking.... but I am sure she is up to something. She is ALWAYS busy it seems.
With this move sneaking up in a week and a half, I am SO busy. But I always find time to DIS
As we get closer and we can now mention the 'L' word, the next word that needs to discussed is the 'H' word. I know that we won't have any definate details until nearer the time, but Cruise Critic have started up their yearly 'H' watch.
Anyone like to place bets how many we will have to dodge?
The first cruise we took, saw the ship rocking quite badly. We started off in Mickey's Mates and the next moment we were 'rocked' into Treasure Ketch. It was quite funny at the time.
Also as we watched the evening show, the entertainter was a juggler and I remember him balancing on a see saw juggling an apple, basket ball and bowling ball whilst the ship was rocking. The whole audience gave quite a loud groan as the ship rocked quite badly and the curtains swayed behind him.
That year we missed St Maartin.
Heather
I was wondering when the H subject would come up. It's been a good year so one had better not sneak up on us in October...and if it does, it had better stay in the Eastern Caribbean. I want to go to the WESTERN Caribbean dang it!!!!!!!
We were diverted last year from a Western to an Eastern
Scott here... wow another October birthday

DW the 6th, mine the 19th, and Lil

rincess

D the 25th.
Yup, Brenda's is the 17th....my nephew's is October 20th, and my father-in-law's, who is sailing with us, is the 27th.
So how do upgrades work? When do you know if you've been upgraded? Does your details change online or do you wait til you're at the terminal?
Are terminal upgrades much cheaper than if you do it online?
We're in the dark dungeons too

- maybe we can be oar buddies?
There will be
NO H's on this cruise - I have ordered clear blue skies, calm waters and a boat load of fun
Free upgrades are very rare, but there are certain situations that it happens...usually if you are booked a GTY, are in a low cat cabin like 10, 11, 12 and booked early.
Then if you get to the port very early, the upgrade desk (closest one to the mickey ears) is open if the ship is not full. Go there as soon as possible to ask about an upgrade. We paid $354 USD from a cat 9 to a cat 6. To book a 6 originally was over $1200 above what we paid, so yeah, it was a good deal.
But be warned, they are not the best cabins sometimes. Like our verandah was at the very back, so it had a metal verandah and was rounded, so a little smaller then the average verandah.
But it was a verandah, so I wasn't complaining
Ok, new question on arriving at port...
I have our van picking us up at the hotel (near the airport) at 9:30 am, so I figure we'll be at port around 10:30. Now, I see a bunch of KKers are trying to get there right at 10...is it insanely busy right away? Would I be better off arriving earlier, later, or leave it as is?
This cruise is too far away...planning a year in advance means I have had WAY too much time to obsess about minute details.
I would come around 10 or wait till after noon. By 10:45-11:00, it gets very busy and the lines are long. The
DCL busses start rolling in around 10:15-10:30am so if you get behind a bus at security, you will be waiting quite awhile. One pulled up right after we got in line for security, we saw about 100people coming towards us...it wasn't pretty
At 10AM, you usually only see DISers
