I don't think work will be too pleased if we get stuck...but that's their problem.

Heather

Suz and I would be like, tough. Neither of us need to worry though. If Suz ran out of vacation time, she'd just go without pay on those days or work the following Saturday. Small price to pay to get extra days on the boat at no cost.

Do I....no where to sit except the hard floor, if you wanted to queue.

Heather

Still nowhere to sit unless you are there early. The really need to add more seating to the terminal now that they did away with the queue.

There has been some worried people round here about DIS Tag gifts and I thought I'd let you know the kind of thing we received last September.

Pirate stickers
Pirate tatoos
Antenna markers
Pens
Carnival bead
Coins
Sweets/Candy
Postcards
Notebooks
Eye patches
Compass and Map
Small tube of Toothpaste
Stickers

So don't worry - its the thought that counts and that everyone having a bit of fun trying to tag one anothers door without being caught!:thumbsup2

Heather

Heather,
Thanks for the examples...I get the idea now :yay:

:jumping1:
Scott here... thanks Cass, I have you marked down. Can you spare the room for some more helpers to get ya moved? We could use a break from the heat:rotfl:

Absolutely! And it really has cooled off here so you can enjoy the coolness:woohoo:

Cass, your anniversary is on my birthday! Cool! :cool1:

Cool! It is also Brenda's birthday too! In case you don't know, Brenda was booked on our cruise but she ended up having to cancel. We are actually gonna meet up with her and her hubby Jason ON the 17th.

hey, we were trying to clean it up for you guys but truth be told we still both have a scar from when you and rob pushed us down.

Shhh, don't tell people that, they think we are mild mannered Canadians! :ssst:

boy we are really getting our post count up. we may overtake cass soon. sweet revenge....kira must be keeping her busy. or she is working on another secret project.::idea:

She was up all night, not feeling good at all. Plus she hardly slept at all yesterday. I hope she gets some sleep today. But I have my nights to catch up to you ::yes:: In between packing of course :rolleyes1

I think she is lurking.... but I am sure she is up to something. She is ALWAYS busy it seems.

With this move sneaking up in a week and a half, I am SO busy. But I always find time to DIS :lmao:

As we get closer and we can now mention the 'L' word, the next word that needs to discussed is the 'H' word. I know that we won't have any definate details until nearer the time, but Cruise Critic have started up their yearly 'H' watch.

Anyone like to place bets how many we will have to dodge?

The first cruise we took, saw the ship rocking quite badly. We started off in Mickey's Mates and the next moment we were 'rocked' into Treasure Ketch. It was quite funny at the time.:rotfl:

Also as we watched the evening show, the entertainter was a juggler and I remember him balancing on a see saw juggling an apple, basket ball and bowling ball whilst the ship was rocking. The whole audience gave quite a loud groan as the ship rocked quite badly and the curtains swayed behind him.

That year we missed St Maartin.

Heather

I was wondering when the H subject would come up. It's been a good year so one had better not sneak up on us in October...and if it does, it had better stay in the Eastern Caribbean. I want to go to the WESTERN Caribbean dang it!!!!!!! We were diverted last year from a Western to an Eastern

Scott here... wow another October birthday:cool1: DW the 6th, mine the 19th, and Lil:princess:DD the 25th.

Yup, Brenda's is the 17th....my nephew's is October 20th, and my father-in-law's, who is sailing with us, is the 27th.

So how do upgrades work? When do you know if you've been upgraded? Does your details change online or do you wait til you're at the terminal?

Are terminal upgrades much cheaper than if you do it online?

We're in the dark dungeons too:rotfl2: - maybe we can be oar buddies?

There will be NO H's on this cruise - I have ordered clear blue skies, calm waters and a boat load of fun:dance3:

Free upgrades are very rare, but there are certain situations that it happens...usually if you are booked a GTY, are in a low cat cabin like 10, 11, 12 and booked early.

Then if you get to the port very early, the upgrade desk (closest one to the mickey ears) is open if the ship is not full. Go there as soon as possible to ask about an upgrade. We paid $354 USD from a cat 9 to a cat 6. To book a 6 originally was over $1200 above what we paid, so yeah, it was a good deal.

But be warned, they are not the best cabins sometimes. Like our verandah was at the very back, so it had a metal verandah and was rounded, so a little smaller then the average verandah.

But it was a verandah, so I wasn't complaining :rolleyes1

Ok, new question on arriving at port...

I have our van picking us up at the hotel (near the airport) at 9:30 am, so I figure we'll be at port around 10:30. Now, I see a bunch of KKers are trying to get there right at 10...is it insanely busy right away? Would I be better off arriving earlier, later, or leave it as is? :confused3 :confused3 :confused3

This cruise is too far away...planning a year in advance means I have had WAY too much time to obsess about minute details.:hourglass

I would come around 10 or wait till after noon. By 10:45-11:00, it gets very busy and the lines are long. The DCL busses start rolling in around 10:15-10:30am so if you get behind a bus at security, you will be waiting quite awhile. One pulled up right after we got in line for security, we saw about 100people coming towards us...it wasn't pretty

At 10AM, you usually only see DISers :lmao: :rotfl2:

Karen I have placed the same request. There will be NO H's on this cruise!!! If we can't see a L we shouldn't have to put up with a H right!

There will be NO H's on this cruise - I have ordered clear blue skies, calm waters and a boat load of fun:dance3:

Heather thanks for posting this! It eases my mind even more that I am on the right track with my gifts.

Because we are staying at the County Inn at the port I have been thinking about getting up very early and watching the Magic come into port that morning (don't tell Al this or he will think I have gone completely crazy :lmao: ) Maybe I should just camp out over night with Suz.

I think at 10:30 you should still be fine. The lines get really long by 11:00. You probably will get a #3 or #4 boarding pass however at that time.

If you go later, I would arrive between 11:30 and 12:00, when everyone is boarding.

If you come early, you can party with all of us at the fence waiting to get in. :cool1:

I think Suz is camping out over night, like the people who want HP books, concert tickets or Xboxes. :rotfl2:

Last time we went in separately because they opened the gates early and I was not back from Avis yet. We both got #2's. So, if that happens again, I will have a #2 to pass on to someone (for the right price :rotfl: ).

We like the new way better too. It is so much nicer than standing in that looooong line! Like you said they definitely need more seating though!

Do you remember the days of the queue? We would send one to that line and the other to the check-in. Then you wouldn't dare get out of line. I so like the new way better. It is more relaxed.

Cass that looks awesome! Wouldn't it be great to win a stay there as part of The Year of a Million Dreams. I read in my All Ears newsletter that they are extending The Year of a Million Dreams until Dec. 31, 2008.

Have you guys seen the suite in Cindy's Castle??? OMG, it's GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!!!!! Totally different from the one in Disneyland. I would LOVE to stay at the WDW one!!

There's a very good video tour of it on the Disney site that I posted in my last post...here's the direct link...

Im so excited to be here....

Jeff, will my Lindaflood posts be added to Lindy loos? There is a drink at stake with Chris !!!!:rotfl2:

Guess I missed a few pages yesterday. Sorry about that.

Welcome back Linda. Glad to hear things are getting somewhat back to normal.

As for your post counts, I think Chris owes you the drink regardless. :thumbsup2

I'll for sure buy you one.

HELLO EVERYONE!!!!:tinker:

I just wanted to pop in and say hello as it appears that horrible rumors are running rampant throughout the boards about my sudden and extended absence! I have not been kidnapped by the Lost Boys, I have not been sold into slavery by Captain Hook, I am not in prison for getting rid of Wendy Darling in a jealous rage, and no, (alas) I have not run off and eloped with Peter Pan!:) :tink:

I have just been extremely busy both at work and at home! My last few weeks have been taken up with baseball playoff games, camping, family reunions, more camping and finally a wedding this coming weekend! Once this week is over, things should slow down a little and I should have much more time for my dear friends here on the boards!

Thanks for the concern! All is well and I promise to get back on board more often starting next week!

Like I said, I missed a few pages. Welcome Back Missy!

I thought you got eaten by the aligator. :rotfl:

Well I am off to a closing. Enjoy your day everyone
cinnamike checking in.
a closing... i know what that means. thats realtor talk for $$$$$$$$$.
the strawberry smoothies are on you now.:rotfl2:
if i work this right i wont have to buy any for ourselves the whole trip.
:rolleyes1

come to think of it, if we all have to stand around and watch afeg be the first to board the ship, i think all us kk'ers should boo him loudly.
