O.K., I have Suz sitting next to me. Of course she won't get on here.

Here are our tips:

1. 2-way radios

2. Backpack for tours/beaches and a cooler bag.

3. If you have refillable mugs from the resorts, take them on the cruise. They keep the drinks from the drink station cold longer. Plus, I think they hold more.

4. If you are planning on doing laundry, bring collapseable hampers (fit on the bottom of suitcase). Bring your own dryer sheets and liquid tide (works better than the powder) is sold in small bottles at Target.

5. Don't forget a pen and CASH for the postage on Castaway Cay (I had to go back onboard to get this the first time).

6. Take care of charging your tips either Thursday night or Friday morning.

7. Pack as much as you can on Friday morning so you can enjoy Friday night and are not rushing around to get everything out.

8. Have one parent stand in line for a character picture while the other takes the child through another line. Then let the child come by you for the next picture.

9. Don't wait until the last night to get your pictures at Shutters. Also, even if you pick out one picture on a plan and want a different one later, they will let you swap.

10. Most importantly, if you have any thoughts of wanting to go on DCL again, book a 3 or 4 night "dummy" cruise. It has the lowest deposit and the date and cruise length can be changed to what you want later. This way you get the 10% off and the on-board credit offer.

Where is everyone? :confused3 Enjoying the day?

You know, if I steal the next two pages, I will be 200 posts ahead of Karen. :scratchin

Brenda - what was the name of the cocktail/berry liquer you mentioned a few threads ago?

Heather

Heather - I believe you are referring to the great guavaberry liqueur...:worship: :worship: :worship:

Brenda,

I heard on the radio one of the Cardinals' pitchers was killed in a car accident last night or this morning. Was he one of your starters? I see they cancelled the game today but are still coming to Milwaukee for the series.

Jeff - Josh Hancock is the pitcher who was killed early this morning in that car accident. He was a bullpen / set-up guy - very instrumental in the championship run last October. Very sad - only 29 years old.

Second time in five years that the team has had a player pass away during the season. :sad2:

Karen hides under desk....

Yahoo? - whats that then?;)

If someone explains what you all want then I'll have a go. :surfweb:
I'm no good at constructing tables/spreadsheets etc:scared: , but I can input once its up and running if thats any help?:confused3 - sorry I'm so useless....I only volunteered to be a mod cos you were one short:sad1: - sorry:sad1:

Just teasing with you Karen. I appreciate that you stepped up to the plate when we needed you. Thank you!!

I'm sitting here this afternoon, reading your threads on not getting sick and I'm suffering from a stinking cold!

Tips:

1. Highlighter
2. Hand sanitiser...just in case
3. Suitcases will fit under your bed, just lift the mattress
4. Extension lead for all those charges. There's never enough sockets in the cabins.
5. High factor sun cream....watch that caribbean sun
6. $1.00 notes for room service
7. Duck tape....always comes in handy
8. Chicken Tenders on deck 9
9. Some say Tiramisu and some say Chocolate Souffle is best in Palos
10. Exercise when you can....4 times round deck 4 is a mile and use the stairs...it's quicker than the elevators.

Can't think of any more at the moment...my head is a ball of mush.

Heather

PS - We've tried each time we've been, to get into Parrot Cay, on embarkation day, but never been lucky. Always ended up on deck 9.

Good tips Heather. And we also missed getting into Parrot Cay on embarkation day. We were too busy running around the ship and by the time we remembered to eat, we were re-routed to Topsiders. Hope you feel better soon.

Brenda - what was the name of the cocktail/berry liquer you mentioned a few threads ago?

Heather

I know Brenda answered this already.

I have a question ....a silly one:rolleyes: ...

I have read that a lot of people who play dis tag put pirate items in their bags for piate night...what happens if you dont get to tag people before pirate night:confused3 ...I told you it was a silly question.

Is pirate night on night 4? Just thinking if the kids had piratey things it would be nice for them to have them either before or on pirate night:confused3

I understand the rules (finally) but can someone explain this? Also, what happens if you dont get a tag and you're running out of time to post your other goodie bags.? Can you just post them anyway for the doors you still have to tag? I dont want to go home with bags left over or be running round the ship on the last night looking for 10+ doors:eek: I'll be too busy picking out my 1000 photos from shutters:rotfl:

Karen, we will cut DIStag off on Thursday. Any gifts not passed out by then can be delivered without tagging the doors with magnets. I think last cruise I delivered 3 more gifts without the magnets. I found somone with about 9 magnets on their door and stole one for a souvenir.

Oh by the way,...for those who have been lovely enough to send bucket loads of dust stuff so far - my sis gets the blood test results either wed or thurs this week, so chuck a bit her way if you have a sapre wand full and please put her in your prayers. Thank you:grouphug:

:wizard: pixiedust: pixiedust: :wizard: For you and sis!

Nancy,
In the great Eeyore's words...."Thanks for noticing me."

Rob has been in Ottawa/Montreal on business for the last 6 days so it's just been me and my princess princess:
Not much time for DISing.

And yesterday was my brother's 40th birthday party! The video I made was a hit and he really loved it

And next weekend I have another party to host, my sister's baby shower!

But after that, I will have more time to DIS

Busy busy girl. Thanks for checking in. Glad the party went well and good luck with the baby shower. Talk to you soon.

I'd like to disagree with #1 only because you disagreed with my #1!!:rotfl2: :lmao:

Oh sure, love ya too.

Everyone else gets, "nice suggestion, etc", with me you just want to disagree. :lmao: Just teasing.

I should say, make sure the 2-way radios are good ones. Some of the cheaper ones won't go through the floors.

Here is another one. Your cell phones will work in Key West even before we get to port, so if you want to call someone, you can do that on Sunday.

Yummo! Jay made me a guavaberry colada as a reward for walking 2 miles this afternoon... ahhhhhhhhh, good drink my friends, good drink indeed! :thumbsup2

on the last few cruised we went on with disney we had our room steward take our luggage and store it for us out of our room. They said they will do it as long as there is still room. he said word was getting out so we find him or her first thing and ask to store ours!! It really freed up space!!!

I only need a few more posts to break 900 on this thread and I'm not even sailing with you guys any longer...man, that's pathetic. :lmao:

And there is Postum, which is a powdered coffee substitute made with wheat bran, wheat, molasses, and corn dextrin (I looked it up!). :scared:

Congrats Brenda, you did it. Now if you post 3 more times, you will pass Karen and move into 2nd place.
