Do you get the 3% bonus when you buy Disney gift cards? If so, how do you do it?

that's a good question! I only bought GC's because I didn't have the whole new credit card number.

$150 net is still $150 in free Disney money.
I’d only reconsider if spending on the Disney card to get the annual credits prevented you from getting another card’s annual credit or you already had a high annual fee credit card (ie: Chase sapphire reserve) where it makes sense to pool points and transfer points to partners for higher per point redemption. Also, obviously the card isn’t worth it you don’t spend enough to hit the Disney annual credit spend for hotel/cruises and park tickets or can’t pay credit cards in full (atleast before any interest kicks in).

For someone like myself that goes on 1-2x Disney cruises annually and DLR/WDW each atleast annually, on the capital one duo (Venture X and Savor) but uses mostly for cash back, and BoA Atmos Ascent for Alaska flights; the Disney card has a nice place that it’s worthwhile for my wife and I to have one each after the SUB even without taking advantage of the Disney+ credit (we have a legacy Verizon plan that comes with Disney+).

This card effectively gets us nearly 10% cash back on the first $2,200 on cruise+tickets, includes the $150 net credit + 3%. With two cards, thats 10% off the first $4,400. And an easy 3% on Disney merch/food for the times you run out of 5%+ discounted Disney gift cards (from Bjs or Target).

Just a data point for others. I applied for and received a bonus for opening a Chase Disney Premier card in July 2025. Applied for the new Inspire card anyways and received approval and instant gift card to my email. I saw early reports about not being eligible for bonus if you’ve had any of the other cards bonuses in the last 24 months. Wasn’t the case for me.

Anyone else have anecdotal evidence of still getting the bonus even though they got a bonus for the Premier card less than 24 months ago? I'd like to get this card, but just got a sign up bonus for the Premier Card in September 2025. If I'm not going to get the bonus, I'll just upgrade as I don't need both cards.

It’s the same for the hotel side and DVC.

I always do Getawaytoday.com so I'll probably price things out to see if it makes more sense to keep buying there or buy direct to get $200 back.

Remember you can just buy 1 ticket for DS, DH or yourself from Disney and as long as it is over $200 then it would trigger the $100 credit for tickets and then buy the other two from your discounted sites.

Does anybody know if you can use Apple Pay when checking into a DVC hotel?

I don't think you can use Apple Pay as the "card on file" for resort charges but you can go down to the front desk and tap your watch or phone for ApplePay after asking them to pay xx of your balance.

Yes it has been posted by others in this thread that they received the $400 for the premier and then were approved for this and have already received the $300 gift card.

This is not the same as the Premier and since the Inspire is new nobody had received the welcome bonus until now so you are good to apply.

Stupid Q. But when it says "per anniversary year" does that just mean annually, from the time you opened the card? So if I open it today, my "anniversary year" is Feb 7, 2026-Feb 7, 2027, or does it mean just the first year of opening this card?

Not a stupid question as it can be confusing from card issuer to card issuer.

For this example it will be 2/7/26-2/6/27 as the anniversary year and not the calendar year of 2026 resetting on 1/1/27.

For those that have the Inspire is there a place where it shows the progress you have made towards the $2k for folio/package/cruise charges?

The CSR has something like this for the $300 travel credit so hopefully this card has something similar.

I am here and if the lines are short as we are leaving tomorrow I will inquire, but I actually have never tried charging to room at DLR and probably won’t attempt it tomorrow as we are rushing out to get to Super Bowl Party after celebrating DCA’s birthday in the AM.

If you stop by before check out day you can pay off the folio charges with apple pay
