Ok, I can't keep cleaning coffee off of my computer EVERYDAY!! That is too funny.

Hope you are all having a nice day. It is about 65-70 degrees here in Monterey. It is beautiful, so I like it here today. The times that I don't like it is when it is 65-70 in the middle of July....I say "bring on the heat in Summer."

Y'all have a great day!

Hello all................... Im so excited I have just arranged my 40th party with 7 of my best girlie mates!!!

I am hiring a 12 person limo with young/stripper uniformed peak capped driver to collect us from my home, drive us to Oxford about 40 mins away for a meal. I have then booked us into a late night comedy club, and private dance club till 3am. When our limo will colect us and drive us home ! The limo has a DVD, CD and PS2 in, as well as free champagne, as much as we can drink ! Yikes we can do ALOT in 40 minutes! :) :) ...... plus my favourite a "disco ball" ! :thumbsup2

Im not telling any of them WHAT we are doing ( Waynes booked it for me as a treat for us all ! ) ............. dont you just love him!

Im getting invites that say............." dress to impress, we are off out to celebrate my Birthday.... BUT im not letting on any more;)
( Ive checked the date 7/7/07.... weird on dates thing again??:confused3 ) that we are all free................. and we are..

so now my diet will have to start............... as all my mates are very beautiful, inside and out! :grouphug:

That sounds like fun, Linda! I wish my friends lived closer to me so we could so something fun for my 40th in Feb.

I've spent the last hour looking through some navigators that someone had posted - geez - it looks busy:eek:

How do you figure out what to do? I was looking through the kiddie stuff - "oooh, Ellis will like that,....and that.... and that...." etc - at this rate we'll be lucky to see him;) - wheres the adult pool?:rotfl:

Seriously though - when do they expect you to get ready for dinner:confused3 - if its not activites then its photos in the lobby etc. I'm gonna be shattered! - I might get myself a pedometer and see how many steps I clock up going to and from the kids club:rotfl:

This cruise was meant to be a relaxing break inbetween a week of theme park madness and then 3 more days of them park madness afterwards (oh and shopping of course;) ). I'll be glad to get off the boat, but even then I'll probably be getting the navigator out and wondering what we're missing!

For those of you with youngish kids - what do you do after dinner? We would normally head to a bar and relax with a glass of something while Ellis played for a while then back to the room when he got tired, but it says kids arent allowed in the bars:confused3 - where do the families go? Dont fancy holing up in our room with no window - shhhh:ssst: ...dont tell Chris but I'll probably be on his balcony:lmao: :lmao:

I know they can go into the kids clubs, but would you put your child in the club when he'll be a bit tired shortly? - I'd feel really mean when I know he'd probably rather be in bed munching on cookies and milk.

I guess we'll just play it by ear....just curious for your suggestions and opinions as to what you've done in the past. Theres gotta be somewhere for families to go once the show is over?:confused3 - did I miss it on the navigator?

Karen, my DS, Alex, was 7 on our 3 day cruise last year. We had late dining, we'd take in a show (sometimes he napped if he was too tired from the day's happenings), pics, then dinner. Well, after he had dinner in him, he "got his second wind", and was fired up to get the the club! That gave Rob and I time to do whatever we wanted to do. My DD, Emily, had just turned 13, so she was a little shy to go into the teen club and a little "old" for the kids' club, so we had the opportunity to hang with her a little, which was great. She's an independent girl, also, so she let us have time by ourselves and gorged herself in the stateroom with mac n cheese. She loved that room service! To make a long story short, Ellis will probably need a day or so to get adjusted to the late hours, but will fall right into the routine. It may not even take a day because you will being doing "crazy hours" at WDW beforehand. Kids are so resilient. Remember there is a lot to do, but you have a whole week! When we were on the 3 day cruise, the one thing we said after was, "Let's go on the 7 day next time so we can actually have time to relax as well as have time to do activities."

Hope this helps. I know that looking at all those navigators can be overwhelming. That's why I like that they only give you one day at a time on the ship. I love to order coffee from room service and highlight the nav while having that first morning coffee.

Paige,

I see your son is 7. Too bad we're not going on this cruise. Our son is 7 (just turned in Feb) and Karen's Ellis will be 7 and I think there are a couple more of us DISers with boys in the 6-7 range. They would have had their own group.

Did you disappear now?

I actually have to run out now for the next 2 hours.

So if you want, you can have page 314 (or would that be Paige 314 :scratchin )?

Where is everyone?

I go away for almost 4 hours and no posts?

Hello?

Am I the only one who doesn't have a life on a Saturday night?

I just spent the last 3 hours updating Kira photos on my website! :scared:

So for those of you needing a "baby picture fix" you can find them here:

http://www.cassworld.ca/kira.htm (the last 56 of them are new!)

And I wanted to post this one here too in case you don't want to go through all 110 of them :rolleyes1

This is Kira in one of the outfits that Nancy & Chuck bought her!!! (Kira: "Thanks Auntie Nancy and Uncle Chuck!! I love my jammies!!!")

DON'T FORGET YOUR HIGHLIGHTER. I spend a couple of minutes before I turn out the light at night, highlighting what we (well me really and Rick tags along) want to do the next day. Also rememer to carry it around with you the next day. Spare navigators are available from Guest Services.

The shore days can be relaxing, if you get back on board way before sailing time. You can get some 'pool' time in then. Otherwise, leave the relaxing until Castaway. The tricky bit is dressing for dinner, getting to the shows and queuing for the photos. There is always a huge line for Captain Jack Sparrow, so be prepared.

But, what you miss this time, you get to do the next time

DON'T FORGET YOUR HIGHLIGHTER.

I forgot to mention that in my post. That IS key. Makes your next day really easy to remember what is going on.

Now, actually finding the time to do it or getting the effort to get off you pool chair is another story. :rotfl: Many days it was like, hey this is going on. No, lets just stay here.

mike here. it is with heavy heart that i say we wont be taking the cruise.
