I'm sorry for laughing but that's kind of funny. Sort of. That's how I felt when I added a day to my reservation last month.![]()
Why not simply keep the extra day in a separate reservation to keep the whole thing from repricing.
I tried that last year, and spent almost an hour dealing with the friendly Alamo folks at MCO. We are gonna be on a very tight schedule when we land in Orlando next month, and have an Autistic son in tow, so those delays can really be testy. I may grip about the pricing a bit, but "peace" in our clan is worth a pretty penny!
Check your rates everybody! Budget is down!
I just got a full size car for 8 days for $138 taxes included.
Edited to add.....no codes or special coupons used. I just ran my dates on carrentalsavers.com , and it automatically applied a $25 coupon to the weekly rate.
What are your dates?
Thanks for the reminder to check rates. Mine just dropped, again!
Costco Travel / Alamo
10/26 - 11/4
TPA
Standard SUV
$356.74
I have a question too -
On the Costco Travel website it lists, going down the page like they have it, Economy Car, Compact Car, Intermediate Car, Standard Car, Fullsize Car, Premium Car, Intermediate SUV, Standard SUV ...
The Intermediate SUV is more expensive but is listed before the Standard SUV. The Intermediate is Toyota Rav 4, or similar, and the Standard is Hyundai Santa Fe or similar. Is there much difference? Is one considered more luxury than the other?
