October 2012 Planning.. Anyone else?

We've changed our dates and hotel!
We're now staying at the Residence Inn Garden Grove from the 3rd-15th October.
We had to add an extra two days to our trip to fit in with sale airfares, so we've decided to do a little side trip to Vegas between the cruise and Disneyland

We are planning to go in October, but our dates aren't set. I was hoping to go first week-mid October, but unfortunately the projects at work determine when I can take vacation so if we go it will be end of October. Not set on the dates yet, but I was thinking we'd leave N. Cal Friday, the 27th so we can take advantage of the weekend and hopefully stay til Sunday, Nov. 5th. Our wedding anniversary is Oct. 31st & DH's bday/our "dating" anniversary is Nov. 10th.

Just booked airplane tickets for Oct 9-14, don't know about hotel yet, since we will hopefully be meeting up with my Sister, her kids and grandkids, and maybe some other family.

We haven't been since January of 2010, can't wait to see the new attractions and lands.

First year without Goofy's Kitchen DGS said he's too old...Heck, with the Disney way of thinking he is an adult at 11
But we have plans for Carthay Circle Restaurant, Steakhouse 55 and
Blue Bayou Restaurant so far....

I think the challenge will be trying to pick just one entree out of the many appetizing choices on the menu. Another downside of traveling solo......can't take a sample of someone else's dish

It's great that you're able to give your DS and DDIL a date night, at Disneyland of all places! Pizza is good too, especially with a grandson. And thanks for the kind words about my TR. Hope to write up another enjoyable one from this upcoming trip!

I will be there from October 3rd to 6th! Staying at the Candy Cane and doing the Halloween party on the 5th. This started as a solo trip to console myself as I will have an empty nest when my daughter starts college in the fall. It has now turned into a big gathering as my older daughter and her family , my sister and my cousin, plus my youngest daughter( who could not stand to be left behind) are all joining me for some part of my trip! Am now trying to get my niece who goes to USC to join us for the party.

We are going on a Disney cruise in October out of LA. We are seriously thinking of bookending one of the days before or after our cruise at DL.

Will be on that same cruise too. Will be at DL for 5 days prior to cruise.
