October 2010 Waitlists

I actually cancelled my waitlist the other day. I got a good rate for Caribbean Beach for our 4 nights (Oct 9, 10, 11, 12) so I figured I'd just bank my points. I didn't feel very lucky about getting a studio to come through and didn't want to miss my chance for a room at a decent rate.

Mine hasn't come through yet. At least not posted to DVCmember.com. I'm keeping my fingers crossed, just alittle over 1 week left till the 31 day mark. I'm going to call MS tomorrow just to check.

we're still waiting (happy to have LV @ BLT), after my original WL disappeared and i had to restate my request for MK view. CM said still just 1 day out of 5 open for BLT MK view, on a wednesday

i did make sure to still be list on after the 30 day mark, maybe some movement then

Happy to see some waitlist coming thru. We have one day we are waitlisted for on 10/10 (ssr 3 br), hoping something comes through soon or we may need to make other plans.

I am also hoping that since my wait list hasn't come thru yet, maybe at the 30 day mark something will happen.
Is there really that much activity at that date?
Maybe since we are from Chicago and fly to WDW, our plane reservations have long since been made and unless there is a death in the family, we are going.
I can see at the 7 month window, there would be a lot of activity, but at the 30 day window?
Anyone have thoughts on this??

Both of my waitlists came through today! Needed a Studio at OKW on 10/15 an 10/17. Sigh of relief here. Now need to cancel my backup cash ressies.

WOOHOO!!

I was reading this thread & thinking...I'm not gonna bother checking, I just checked the other day & it wasnt there. BUT... i checked anyways and I am so excited that DH & I are now in a Boardwalk Studio, Garden View October 9-12. We are so excited, we have never stayed in the Boardwalk area and loving the idea that we will be able to walk to Epcot since that is where we plan to spend most of our time.

Just came back from a trip 2 weeks ago and my waitlist never came through to upgrade to a 2-bdr at BWV.

I have been calling several times a week to check on upcoming avialbility for Oct & Nov and availbility across the board is extremely tight.

I dont remember having such limited opportunity in the past.

I've been wailisted for over two months for either BWV or VWL from October 2-5 and nothing has come through yet. We at least have a room at SSR reserved. I really want to stay on the Boardwalk!

We've had a waitlist for a BWV or VWL studio for October 2-5 since mid-May, and neither one has come through for us, either. We're also booked at SSR, and since our July stay there was so wonderful, I don't think we'll be too disappointed if our waitlist doesn't come through.

Hopefully I made someone's day. For those that wonder about movement at 30 days. Cancelled 10/6 & 7 AKV Jambo sav. view studio today. Booked AP rate at BC instead. Good luck. Still waiting for 10/8 studio @ BWV.

Not me. It looks like Hsv Teacher above will get their choice before I get mine since our waitlists are the same and we haven't been on the list as nearly as long.

No luck here yet either. I'm still waiting on BCV 10/10 for a studio. I have a cash reservation as a backup so its not a huge deal if it doesn't come through. Getting very close to the 30 day mark.

No luck here. I called again today to see if there was anything other than my 2 waitlists for 10/10 at ssr, but nothing.

Our waitlist came through today! SSR studio the night of 10/16. We had a cash ressie as a back up so we just saved $250!

Thinking of calling back and adding a new WL for BCV and/or BWV studio. If either one of those come through, it'll be like winning the lottery!

Woo Hoo. My October 24th-28th(BWV) came through today for a studio. Now I don't have to change resorts. We will now be at BWV from the 22nd -28th.
I had all but given up. This makes leaving JR's at night a little easier. No taxi's just walk to the room. Susan

i'm waiting for the same room pooh also for oct 24th! when did you go to the wait list?

did you call ms or did you check your dvcmember page to find out?

We had no problem getting a 1BR at AKV for Oct. 23 & 24 to go to MNSSHP. However we ran in to a big problem for December 5th for Mickey's Christmas. There were no 2BR available at any resort and we had to book a cash 2BR at SSR. We are on the wait list for a Treehouse at SSR or a 2BR at BLT.
