i'm waiting for the same room pooh also for oct 24th! when did you go to the wait list?

did you call ms or did you check your dvcmember page to find out?

I have been on the waitlist for awhile now. Sometime around or at the 7th month mark. I found out by checking the dvc website. I check every day. Once in the morning and then again in the evening. I don't call unless I am getting very close to check-in. Now if i am calling regarding something else I will ask about my waitlist. Susan

Mine hasn't come through yet. At least not posted to DVCmember.com. I'm keeping my fingers crossed, just alittle over 1 week left till the 31 day mark. I'm going to call MS tomorrow just to check.

WOW!!! Waitlist came through. I called MS yesterday, which was 31 days before my trip and was told that nothing was available for 10/09 and that my waitlist would expire at end of day yesterday. I checked midday today, just incase something miraculusly came through late yesterday and it had not. I just logged in because I was going to call and bank my remaining 2010 points and guess what? The waitlist came through after the waitlist had expired. However, it caused 20 points to go into holding. I called MS and asked them why they went into holding when I had the waitlist set to expire prior to the 31 day window. I was told this is an obvious mistake on there part that the points went into holding and MS did a manual adjustment and took the 20 points out of holding and put them back to available so I could bank them as well. I don't know if that's double pixie dust or what but everything seems like it worked out for the best.

I've got fingers crossed for the night of 10/10 in a 1bdrm or studio anywhere. We have our other nights booked at SSR, but want the night of the 10th as well. I have 2 waitlists - for a 1 bdrm or studio at SSR - but I'd be willing to take a 1bdrm or studio anywhere. I've been calling a couple of times a week to see if anything's available other places - so far no luck. We have night booked at Caribbean Beach with cash just in case - but we'd really like to DVC that night too.

I'm at 32 days out and my wait list for the BC or BW hasn't come thru. Since I am looking for 7 nights, I'm guessing it won't and it's too much to ask for. But...I keep checking and hoping.
For anyone who has stayed at SSR, what area should we request? 5 adults who are mobile.

I personally like the Grand Stand. I like the building by the path to the main check-in or the building by the bus stop.

We have a 2BR at SSR for our October dates, 47 days out yet. But DH wanted to waitlist for THV. Really, I'll be very happy with the 2BR, so I don't mind at all if THV doesn't come through. Originally I was disappointed that the OKW Villa wasn't available, but I'm happy to be staying at our home again.

I posted 3 days ago about the waitlist we've been waiting on for a while now - and this morning before calling to see if maybe something is available somewhere for the one night we need - I checked online and the waitlist had come through! Yippee! It's exactly what we wanted - a 1 bedroom at SSR for October 10th.
My fingers are crossed and I'm wishing pixie dust in the direction of anyone else who's still waiting - good luck!

My DS gave me 3 nites at any resort i could get with her DVC pionts for my 50th Birthday trip with my friends on Oct 25-28. When I initially called(about a month ago) , I got a SSR studio. I was happy, (since it was a gift) but I was a little scared because SSR is so big and I had just gotten back from POR in Aug and felt that was too big. So I then researched the DVC on the boards and learned that you could waitlist for another Resort. I called last Thursday9/16 and put a request to be waitlisted for either BWV or VWL. Well I was shocked when the wait list came through on this past Thursday 9/23 . That's one week!!!!!!!(I have to say my sister was shocked too!!!!

Wooo hooo we are at a VWL studio 10/25 to 10/28!!!!!!!
I had one off topic question. When I talk to MS they said to use the SSR yellow magical express tags and just cross off SSR and put VWL.. Anyone have experience with this? Its a different reservation number- I use the same tags???? Any one know???

My final waitlist request just came through!! I really had given up hope of getting it. Just got a garden view studio at BWV on 10/8. If anyone is on the waitlist for a SV studio at Jambo for that night check the member website. It could be your lucky day too! I'm so excited!!!

Waitlisted studio AKL-Jambo SV for Oct 29-31. Waitlist came through Friday afternoon (Sep 24th). Yea!!!! I was just about ready to give up waiting for an opening.

I have officially given up home that our waitlist will come through. We do have a solid reservation at SSR but so was hoping for either out BLT or AKL Concierge to come through. There is still a bit of time. 10 days away but no holding my breath.

We are 15 days out and we are still at SSR. Looks like BC and BW is not going to come thru for us. I am now making reservations at Downtown Disney since it looks like we will be close to it.
While I would prefer to be at the BC or BW for the F/W, it does give us a chance to stay at a different DVC resort. We have only stayed at the BW or BC. Something new this year........
