Hey Big Red One,
Did you find an Australian Flag? I am happy to go under a US flag seeing I was born in the States but I think the rest of the family would like the Aussie flag!

By the way does anyone know if they will have a pirate night or will there be a Mexican night? We are trying to figure out what types of outfits we should be looking for so the kids can get dressed up.
I did get a flag, not a problem. Don't know about pirate night yet. Guess we could look back at the last riviera cruises and see what they did. More later!!

Hey Big Red One,
What exactly is your cruise list? Is it for families wanting to participate in FE or to meet others on this forum, or both?
Thanks

Just for everyone to be able to keep up with who all is going on the cruise, who has children the same ages etc. Hadn't thought about the FE angle, I could revamp it to include FE participants. I might have to remove a column to add the FE column. PM or email me your email and I'll send it to you so you can see how it's laid out. I am always open to suggestions to modify the list! Let me know what you think! BTW, it's a Word document (.doc).

Here is my standard info pack about the list:

Dis Name-
Email address-
Adults name, age, occupation & pirate name- If you don’t have a pirate name, click here if you want one: (http://www.piratequiz.com/)
Kids first names & ages-
Early or late dinner seating-
Stateroom number-
Hometown-
Where you are staying night before the cruise – (in case we have several people @ same place, we can have a dis-meet or pool party the night before)
Any special occasion while cruising-

And I will put it on the list! It is up to you how much information you choose to provide. The list in MS Word format. If you don’t have MS Word, I can send it so you can view it in Adobe Reader. It will be a jumbled up mess if you try to open it in Notepad or Wordpad. If you would like to be on the list, PM me your info, or use the email link in my signature and put “Cruise List” in the subject line. Once the list is made, I will send it as an attachment to the email address you provide for the list. The list will be updated as I receive changes or additions. (once a week or so as needed) If I get something wrong, please don’t hesitate to let me know. I will try to fix it on the next update. If after you see the list, and you have any ideas or suggestions, let me know.

Hello to everyone in this group. I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Monica and I live in Mazatlan, Sinaloa Mexico. For anyone on a future Disney cruise to the Mexican Riviera, I am pleased to make myself available to you for any questions about the city of Mazatlan or country of Mexico.

As for myself, I am a resident of both the United States and of Mexico. I speak both English and Spanish fluently and I have sailed on DCL numerous times and have been a lifelong fan of Disney. Let me say right upfront, I am NOT selling anything nor am I affiliated with any business or tour company. I am only here to help and give honest information and opinions in an attempt to make your time in Mazatlan or Mexico a positive experience.

I hope that everyone will welcome me to the discussion and that I can be of assistance to anyone who has a question about my city or country. I will attempt to check the boards once per day, but should I miss a question, please do not hesitate to send me a private message. I look forward to getting to know everyone!

Gracias,
Monica

Thanks Big Red One. I hope the details are right. I'm sure if I have to edit it I can.
Thanks again

Just emailed the 2nd Edition of the Cruise List!! :surfweb: Enjoy!!

Boy, we are an international bunch. Three families on the list and three different continents. Thanks again for doing this for us.

It is 483 days, 3 hours, 17 minutes and 10 seconds until Sunday, October 2, 2011 at 5:00:00 PM (Los Angeles time) @ the time I checked.... :teeth:
See, it's not to far off!!

October 2nd 2010 will be both a sad and happy day. I will get off the Magic after our Transatlantic cruise on that day, but it is only one year until I get on the Wonder then.

I am so excited! just under 500 days. Even more exciting is that newbies are with us and I am planning things I enjoyed both at DL and on the cruise. Maddie is even trying to tell her cousins what they will be able to do. She is excited about the kids club as now Hannah can be with her and so can Belinda and Luke (cousins). By the way, Corrina I saw Jordak's magnet design for you. He is a very clever man. Allen are you decorating your door?
Check in later.

I decorated our door for the the first time on our Med cruise a couple of months ago. I could never understand why people decorated their doors. Then I found some graphics on our Cruise Meet thread that I really loved and decided to have a go at making magnets. Once I found the Cruise Magnet thread, I was hooked. The next thing I knew was that I ordered a Xyron to make magnets with. Here is our door on the Med cruise:

Some of them are generic and will come on our cruise as well. Others had been personalized for the Med cruise. I actually need to finish of the magnets for the Transatlantic cruise and might do this tonight.

Apart from the design that you saw, there is nothing yet that really jumped out at me for our cruise, but I am sure there will be.

Corinna

I love your door!!!
This will be the first time I have used the magnets but I hope to use them for my scrapbook after the cruise. I dis my first scrapbook after our last trip. Had trouble finding good embellishments and papers. This time being there longer I will do some shopping and have plenty of cruise items this time round.

Ok, we are coming !

1st DCL for us. Using points and paying a whopiing $125 for me, DW, DS-7. and DS-5! A bargain, whether you think DVC points are good for cruisingor not!

Tell me all the needed info!:yay:

I have spare prints of all the magnets (I had the graphics printed on an online photo print service) and they will eventually be going in a scrapbook. This is of course assuming that I will ever get around to getting one. I really wanted the special scrapbook that they had for the Med cruises, but my luggage allowance was very limited. I am hoping that they will still have them on the Transatlantic (an hopefully at a discount). The plan is to buy one on the first sea day and mail it home from Gibraltar.

As for the magnets, DH has promised me to put a big sheet of metal behind the bed so that I can put all my cruise specific magnets on there.

:welcome: on board. You are in for a real treat. We are getting ready for cruise number 5 (cruise number 4 was about 6 weeks ago). Cruising DCL is seriously addictive.

We are also DVC members and live in the UK. We are a childless couple, but big kids at heart. What is your DVC home resort? They do a fun member celebration on each cruise that is 4 nights or longer.

Hi Corrina,
We are thinking about the dolphin swim too. Coming from a country of beautiful beaches we don't find them all that exciting. I did want to find out about the tequila farms but worried about timing and how the family feel about it all. I hope when on board the wine tasting is available. I know there is lots to do but I am looking forward to mummy time because I don't think I will get any at Disneyland. I will enjoy the time at DL with the girls as I see it through their eyes....MAGIC

We did the excursion on a Carnival cruise for our honeymoon a few years ago, and it was an awesome albeit expensive experience. Swimming on and with a dolphin is something I will never forget.

I have swam with dolphins almost more often now than I can remember. It truly is an amazing experience. I was also lucky enough to interact with Belugas at Seaworld Orlando and with killer whales at Seaworld San Diego. I have swum with dolphins at Discovery Cove (7 times), Seaworld San Diego (once) and Dolphin Discovery Cozumel (once). I have also done the Dolphin in Depth tour at Epcot, the Marine Mammal Keeper Experience at Seaworld Orlando (twice), Trainer for a Day at Seaworld San Diego (once), the Dolphin Nursery Tour (twice) and Dolphin Spotlight Tour (once) at Seaworld Orlando. During four of my visits to Discovery Cove, I did Trainer for a Day there as well. Dolphins are my big passion.
