Good Morning!

I've decided that if I jump on the board first thing in the morning
post real fast then jump off again I can at least be a part of the family!

Yesterday work was really slow so they drew names to see who would get off. I was drawn about 1:00. I hate to give up vacation time for anything but Disney so when I got home to ease my guilt I cleaned closets and cupboards did some yard work made dinner for today and some general house cleaning. I am really tired today.

It is pretty chilly in Colorado today. I am loving the cooler weather. Hope the rain keeps up!

Barb:hyper:

Barb you're back...yea, we missed you!!!

I had a pretty good weekend. My BIL took me to see fireworks at Palmer Lake on Sunday, so we had a lot of fun. Ilove fireworks and luckily when Bryan and I broke up Rich stepped in to take me to see the fireworks. I also ate homemade strawberry ice cream on Sunday that was so yummy.

My mom and dad are coming back today to take my grandpa to a doctors appointment, so maybe she will get a moment to post...hi mom :wave2:

Denine - how exciting to watch all the steps on your new house. Glad you are feeling better.

Jeanne - you had to work on the holiday...thats a bummer, did you get to see any fireworks? Atleast you had food to help you survive the day!!! I love holidays when everyone brings food to work!!!!

Julie - your kids must be sound sleepers for Brooke to sleep through fireworks!! But then again I guess I did to when I was younger!!!

Hi guys, back for the day like Heidi said. Things have quieted down a lot for us. We will be able to enjoy vacation for the last few days. On Sunday our dear friends made homemade strawberry ice cream. Someone asked the husband what the red seeds were in the ice cream. DUH!

Jeanne, I can't believe your day that you had. Absolutely nothing went right. At least you kept your sense of humor. Please look for an email from me regarding the October cruise. I need to get back to Faith.

:wave2: Hi Heidi. Did you know what the seeds were in the ice cream????

Well, hello Barb. You were missed. I think a lot of people had to work yesterday. I25 didn't seem as busy as it usually is after a weekend holiday. Was it ever dark your way from the clouds this morning. Did you get dumped on?

Bonnie, give Glenn a big squeeze from us. Tell him hello. I would love the recipe. We HAVE to go to Italy when we are there. Stacey and Richard taught us that one.!!

Julie, I was surprised that Brooke slept through the fireworks. Amazing!! A few years ago someone lit a firecracker and put it on our front porch and ran. It scared all of us BUT Heidi. She slept through the whole thing. Crrazy girl. We went swimming too. On the 4th Stacey and Heidi went to watch the fireworks and we went to the pool/hot tub. It was a very cold evening but well worth it. We had a blast.

Denine, it sounds like you are having soooooo much fun with this new house. It is fun going through it with you.

Where is Susan?

I never thought it could be so stressfull shopping for tile! It is tough when it isn't your bathroom, your money being spent etc... I guess it would be easier if it was mine. Will probably go with an off white tile w/ a ceramic chairrail of white to tie in the white fixtures and keep it neutral. There was a beautiful Villeroy and Boch tile that we both loved but with the trim costing $29 per tile it is out of the question. Left Chicago without a final decision on tile. It was hard also because so many places were closed both the 4th and the 5th!

We went to see The Terminal...it was terrific...a lesson to be learned from that movie. It is better to give of yourself than to receive...the rewards can be great.

Perditta is happy that I am home.

Jeanne what a day you had...way back. Glad the population boom was slow over the holiday.

Heidi! What kind of neighbors does your boyfriend have!! YUK!! You are very lucky to be able to stay home and save for a house. Wish I had that option when I was younger. My mom was a bit of a tyrant so I couldn't wait to get out! I think that was one reason I married so young.

Denine-someone will buy the house...when you least expect it. I hope you don't have it listed as an exclusive but have it as MLS.

We have had a horrible time with the computer. I had to take care of some major adware and spyware issues. We couldn't get anything done with everything taking over. I think we have it undercontrol again but I spent about 15 hours between Friday evening and last night. The thought of getting on this computer would make me sick. Now, I can tolerate it again.

I am also in the middle of cleaning and laundry to begin packing this evening. We leave early Thursday morning and won't be back until late Friday the 16th. I will miss you all just as I have missed you while the ocmputer was down.

I'll try to get back on tomorrow so say goodbye.

Love to all.
Later!

Hazy, Hot & Humid:sunny: again today. My daughter says she is happy to be leaving this weather! The bride:bride: to-be is going back to California at noon today.

BONNIE: I can't even imagine what that tile selection was like with Glenn. You can probably do more with the bathroom if you stay with neutral colors.

SANDY: Sent Faith an e-mail. Glad your back but Heidi has been holding up your end. Are you getting excited yet? :jumping4:

Talk about excited. How about that Denine? So much going on in YOUR life.

I haven't seen Bobby for over a week - watching my mom, airport runs, dog, etc. but I think we may have a "dinner" date tonight:love2: & then back to work Thursday & Friday. Hope you all have a terrific week. Toodles:wave2: :earsgirl: JEANNE

Geez Jeanne you make me tired just reading your posts!!! Do you ever just sit down!!

Welcome back Susan and Bonnie. Susan - I hope you have fun on your vacation, bring me back something nice...I collect shot glasses!! :p ;)

Bonnie - my mom doesn't have a problem shopping with other people when it is their money!! I avoid shopping with her now because I always end up spending over $100 on me!!! She picks out cute clothes for me to try on and I willingly by them!!!

Good Morning!!

Just dropping in to tell everyone HI:wave2:

Have fun Susan where ever it is your going. I am so limited now
I have not been able to read the post in the past.

Glad your back Bonnie.

Hey Heidi and Sandy, we should meet for lunch some weekend. Either at Park Meadows or at Castle Rock!

Barb:earsboy:

Good morning!

Sounds like everyone is busy!

Bonnie: It is so easy to spend other people's money!

Jeanne: At least you had a good holiday at work.

Heidi: We didn't go see fireworks. I wanted to, but they satrt 2 hours after Kaleigh goes to bed. We watched some on TV. Not the same, but better than nothing.

Sandy: Enjoy the rest of your vacation!

I love homemade ice cream. I haven't made any in a couple of years. One of my favs is strawberry!

Sue: Sounds like you had "fun" with the computer. Glad you got it worked out. WHere is vacation again? HH and the Outer Banks?

Barb: At least you can join us for a little each morning.

We had a nice cookout on Monday. Beautiful day. Jerry worked from home yesterday and we went to the zoo. We had a nice time. After that, we went furniture shopping and found an entertainement center. After that, we went up to the house. The framing is DONE!!! Apparently, we had an all Amish crew doing the framing. That means good quality done fast. Next is electrical, heating and plumbing. I measured again for curtains. I can't measure for window shades until the drywall is up.

There doesn't seem to be enought time to get everything done.

We are having another open house on Sunday.

Did I forget anything?

Major headache all day! Nothing has helped...I think it must be the humidity. URAC was here today...more stress...re-accredidation for case management for the company...looks good when marketing our health insurance.

Jeanne...you know my Glenn...poor guy! He does like to discuss and analyze where as I don't and I did lose it for a bit. He does have the patience of a saint though. I wish I had an once of his patience. Maybe that is why we are good for each other, one of the reasons I love him. He is a good man. At least he is good for me. I told him his life was much simpler before me!
Oh! Everyone wish him luck! He is trying for a new position...interview yesterday...stiff competition so not getting too hopeful but maybe some pixie dust will help!

Denine-you are too funny! Measuring for curtains already with just the framing up! How exciting.

Well, that's it for now! Hey, wasn't it sometime around this time that we all met online 2 years ago???? Or was it August...gee, I don't remember!

We seem to have lost Krista, Laurie, Diana, my other son Darren (what is it with me and son's?).

PIXIE DUST TO GLENN!!!!!!!!! GO GET'EM!!! YOU'RE NUMBER 1 WITH US!!! GOOD LUCK!

Hi Bonnie! I've still be fighting a headache on and off for the past week!!! It's got to be the weather! I've tried everything and nothing seems to help either. Hey, forgetaboutit with the son thing...... you've got a great thing going with your sisters!!!!:wave2:

Nothing else new going on here. Hope you all have a great Thursday!

:wave2: :wave2: :wave2:

I just wanted to login to say good-by. We leave early in the morning for Chesapeake, VA. Paul got a new laptop and I think I have everything loaded to be able to get online while we are away. If so, I'll try to post occasionally. If not, I'll be back on around the 17th.

I'll miss you guys!!
:wave2: :wave2: :wave2:

Later!

Have a great trip Susan!!! We will be thinking of you and will miss you while you are away!!!

Have Fun!!!!!

Have a great trip Sue...whish I could make it down there to VA for the weekend to say hi to you all...not too far from here.

Julie...true, I have all my sisters! Hope your headache gets better. Mine is better this morning but it kept me half awake all night.

Have a great day all.

Good Morning!

Thought I would drop in for a second.

Sue have a great trip. Only 99 more days and we will be on the cruise!!! Yipppeeeee

Mom gave us a scare last night. She spent the evening in the emergency room. Think she had another kidney stone. However since they could not find it they sent her home with some flimsy explaintation. Grrrrrrrrrrr

Would ove to see your house Denined. Once you get pictures POST!

Julie, I loved the picutures of the kids!! Going in my scrap book!

Barb:wave2:

:wave2: Bye Susan have a good vacation.

Barb - yes I would love to have lunch some weekend. I am free this weekend, but I doubt my mom is  So when she gets back (probably Sunday) we will have to make plans and hopefully I won't get sick this time!!!

Denine - I want to see your house too!!! Post pictures if you can.

Good Luck Glenn!!! Pixie Dust to you. :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

I have tomorrow off (short week for me!!!) so I am going down to the campground after work and then on Sunday going to Water World. Have a great weekend everyone.

Bonnie: Yes, I know it is early for curtains, but there is so much stuff to get, that I am trying to spread the cost out over the summer.

Glenn, good luck!!!!!!!!!!

Sue: Have a relaxing time!

Heidi: Enjoy your long weekend!

I would love to post pictures. I don't have a digital camera though. Looks like they are putting the shingles on today.

Barb: I hope Sally is all right!

We ordered the entertainment center yesterday and are getting very close to odering the sofa and chair. We went back last night to look at fabric swatches again.

Nothing else but house stuff going on here.

Denine - Even if you have a film camera you can still post pictures two ways that I know of. One way is to scan them in, if you have a scanner!!! The second way is when you go to get the pictures developed you can have a CD made and they will put your pictures on a CD so you can download them on your computer, I am not sure how much more $$$ it costs...Just a thought if you ever want to do something like that. :D

Wow I missed the whole thing on Sally and had to go back and read.
Get better Sally. I hope you feel well soon!!!

PIXIE DUST to Sally. Been there and done that! I don't wish kidney stones on anyone. Barb, thanks for letting us know.

As you can tell, I am able to login on vacation! Yippeee! This hotel also has free broadband internet connections in every room. You all may hear from me more often today abd tomorrow. Not sure after that what the connection opportunities will be.

We had an uneventful drive here yesterday. Dinner with friends and then some pool and spa time! Turner's first game today is around 4:00 and then another around 8:45. I'll keep you guys posted.

Guess we won't hear from Heidi and Sandy this weekend since they are at the campground.

Glenn - if you are reading this good luck on the job inetrview.

Bonnie - wish you could make it down here but Chesapeake is still a good distance away from you.

Julie - the weather really affects my headaches a lot. Causes a lot more of them.

Denine - glad to hear the house is nearly dried in. Then rain or not lots of work can continue.

I'll try to get back on after the games tonight and and give and update.

Miss you all.
Later!

Afternoon all!

Had lots of running around to do today. I had blood drawn because of the med I am on for my toe, which is getting much better, went to Penney's to look at curtains. I like to see the real thing instead of just in a catalog. Then we went grocery shopping.

I have a load of Kaleigh's laundry in and still have more to do.

Heidi: Guess what? I don't have a scanner either. We did get pictures on the CD once so we could send pictures of Kaleigh to everyone. I may have to do that with the next roll.

Even though Jerry's only went to work 3 days this week, it felt like a long week. I am glad it is Friday, even though we have a bunch of cleaning to do for the open house on Sunday.

Have a terrific weekend everyone!
