October 19th Cruisers again and again...

Looks like it is going to rain.

I just can't do it today. I am feeling so stressed with the house and all Kaleigh wants is to take me by the hand and walk all over the house. Ollie was scratching on the couches which he knows he is not suppsed to do. Calgon....

I am soo ready for vacation!

On a good note, most of the electrical, heating and plumbing is in the house. They will be going to drywall soon.

Wow, Heidi is right. It is very slow here the last 24 hours. I come home and no one comes out to play. Poor Sandy!!!!

Denine, isn't it too hot for calgon?? Gosh, I can't take a bath when it is this hot. What is the next best thing? Ice cream at DQ? Shame on me, shame on me!

It is a hot, hot day and very humid. My hair, well, I give up! Had a nice last minute lunch with Stacey at Red Robin. Went shopping at Mervyns. They are having a summer clearance sale today only. Take 50% off the last ticketed price. I got some 52.00 swimsuits for the girls for 13.00. Shorts for Ted for 3.49. Blue jeans for the guys for 5.00. and it goes on over 100.00 worth of purchases for OTHERS not anything for myself. Poor Sandy again.

I forgot to tell you guys that when I went up to Ted's dads house on Tuesday night that I saw 24 elk and deer. Mostly elk. A couple of twin Bambi's too. It was sooooo worth it going up to work on the house just to see the sight!

If you have been watching the news, New Jersey got hit hard with rain but Joyce & I are high & dry. An area called "Medford Lakes" had two dams collapse & ten others damaged by the rain. There are houses still under water & more rain is coming tonight & maybe tornadoes!!!!!!!!!!

HEIDI: You had me laughing because the cheapest flight I could find has us flying from Orlando at 10 AM & I thought I could make that flight!

DENINE: Did you bury that Saint yet?

We are family. I can't even imagine having the same feeling for another group. I don't think that October 19th cruise will ever be repeated! I do consider Faith a member of our little family now too!

SANDY: How exciting seeing all those elk & deer. We did see some deer in the Poconos, one beaver & lots of squirrels.

Worked Monday & Tuesday with Joyce & then last night we went to Los Amigos after work for some FUN! Today I met some old friends visiting from Argentina for lunch (they go back Friday) & they met Bobby. They want us to come & stay with them in Argentina for a vacation. Wouldn't that be fun! Jeanne, glad to hear that you and Joyce are ok!!!! I was wondering about you guys when I heard about all that rain and all the problems it was causing! Stay dry!!! We dodged a really bad rain last night and today. It did rain, but not the storms that they were predicting!

Wow, finally something to read!! Glad a lot of you made it back on the boards....I was getting worried because it was my mom, Denine and I. It thought the rest of you might have been lost, we still have a few that need to check in. Come on lurkers, if you don't write we are going to have to force you to come out and not write anything so you have nothing to read.

Well once again my mom did a great job of spending my money. over $100 to be exact. I came home with 5 swimsuits, 2 pairs of shoes and bras. I don't even have the cruise or airline tickets booked yet and I am picking out swimsuits for the cruise!!! What am I going to do???

Jeanne - hang on and don't drowned in all that rain and dams breaking!!! I want to be able to meet you if I book the cruise!!! Hey maybe somehow I can meet the people going on the cruise before too when you guys get in.

Sandy: Sounds like you had a lot of fun shopping. We don't have a Mervyns here. What a neat sight all those elk must have been. We have had several deer in our yard at a time, but never that many!

Today is a better day. We had a showing last night which I would say looks promising, but I refuse to get my hopes up.

I think Kaleigh had a tummy ache last night. I gave her some mylicon. She is much better today.

Jeanne: Hope you stay dry. We had a nice rain for the yard yesterday. It is only 71 right now. We haven't had time to find a store with the saint yet. A trip to Argentina sounds exciting!

We have a meeting at the house tomorrow, so Jerry is working from home and his parents are going to watch Kaleigh while we are gone. My parents are coming over in the afternoon. I hope to take them up to see the house since they haven't seen it yet.

Hamburgers and hot dogs sound good to me. I have been wanting to BBQ for awhile. We had hamburgers on the girls birthday but it was storming so we didn't get to enjoy them. We had to scarf them down and get inside the trailer.

No rain yet. We had some LOUD thunder earlier but no rain. It is so humid and with the evaporative cooler it makes it worse.

I was bored so I thought that I would read the board but Graci just isn't permitting it.

Hi there! Just popping in to say nothing exciting is going on around here. I live for big brother! My grandmother in Florida and I love to talk about who we like and dislike. I don't like Jase and Scott. Scott reminds me of Eric a few big brothers ago. Didn't watch tonight's but I taped it to watch with Garry. I think that there are more then two sets of twins in the house. I think that Marvin might be a twin. There are times where he has a cigar in his mouth and baseball cap on, but I could be totally of base! We shall see!

Julie you are so right, Scott does remind me of Eric too. Wasn't Eric the firefighter? This year's big brother hasn't caught my interest as much as the previous years. I was completely right about who the twins that were switching were. Holly is the one who gets on my nerves.

Ok, so I am going to sound like a bad person but I don't like Jase, Scott, Holly would drive me to drink, Marvin and a few others. I just hate how strong they are all playing so early on. I like it when they bond at the beginning. I will keep watching it but I don't like it as well as the others. Was I the only one or was Mike (wasn't that his name that was voted off) an ok guy?

Rain all around our house just not at OUR house. Boy were they wrong on the predictions. The same prediction for today. We shall see.

Last night we went around looking for those "lift" chairs for invalids. Wow, are they ever expensive. The one we like is 1400.00. Ouch! But it does seem to be a cadillac. It massages and has heat, too.

I heard from Lori again. Nothing too new her way. The patio is poured and she seems pretty happy. They slept out there the other night. The computer is still not fixed so she is getting her email at the library. Sure do miss her witty self here!!

I'm here! Wow! A very slowwwwwwww board today! Denine hasn't even posted!

Nothing new here. Trying to clean!!!!!! But it's not working out that well!

I spent the last 20 minutes catching up on the posts. We didn't have interenet access after Saturday morning so I have been out of touch. I really liked being able to continue to post with you guys the first couple of days we were gone. Since I only have a few minutes, I'll give you the real quick summary:

The outer banks were just wonderful!! Glad we had the extra time. We stayed in Nags Head the first night and did everything we possibly could in that area on Sat. and Sun. We drove all the way to Wilmington on Sunday night (caught the last ferry from Ocracoke to Cedar Island just in time). Go to Paul's parents house in Myrtle Beach on Monday midday. Turner and I got to play 9 holes of golf with Paul's dad before we went to dinner. Got up Tuesday and headed to Hilton Head Island. That's when the relaxing began. The beach was wonderful and the surf was calm. The pool was refreshing and the drinks were satisfying!! We rode bikes, walked on the beach, did some sight-seeing and had some good food.

Hated to leave HHI but glad to be a home. I am just beginning the laundry.

Now the bad news:
The Philly tournament is a NO GO!! They did not get enough interest so they cancelled the tournament. I didn't find out until we got home and Paul check email. I was really looking forward to being closer to some of my cruise family. Maybe we'll have another chance sometime this year.

Need to run. Laundry and unpacking are calling my name. I'll check back in tomorrow.

Hi Susan, welcome home. Your vacation sounded so heavenly. You guys on the East Coast have it so nice. I am jealous. Everything you listed sounds so foreign to me. Just like it is in another world.

Julie, glad you posted. I was getting lonely. Ted is staying with his dad now and Heidi went out with Stacey and a friend so I am here alone. Just thought that I would see what kind of action that I might find on the board.

Tomorrow night I will be alone too. It so happens that there is going to be a block party but I don't want to attend. They went so far as getting a live band. They want cash donations. The majority of the block on the other side are bar people and I just don't fit in with that type of people. Guess I will keep my drapes drawn. I liked it better when we had block parties when there was all of us original owners. We meshed a little better.

We are getting a nice gentle rain. Tomorrow is our watering day so it saved us $$.

Guess I should head off to bed. Maybe watch some tv before I drift off.

Nighty night. I would say don't let the bed bugs bite but I watched a 20/20 type show and saw what bed bugs are and that is sooooo disgusting. Nightmare city!

My computer is driving me crazy. I think when my cousin's son uses it he changes the home pages & when I go to get on the boards it says I am "unregistered" but now I saved my log on & the number they gave me.

Off to Lesley's (Joyce's daughter) bridal shower (surprise) at noon. Volunteered to work tomorrow since they have this new unbelieveable incentive to work an extra weekend (staffing is really short during summer). They will pay an extra $25.00 an hour!!!!!!!!!!!!! Even when we worked critical it was only $17.50. I am hoping they will need me tomorrow because I can sure use the money.$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

A little humid today but they are predicting more rain tomorrow

Sandy: My dad has one of those lift chairs. It is soo nice. He has MS.

Sue: Welcome back. Your vacation sounded soo nice. Too bad about the Philly tournement.

We were so busy yesterday. We had the pre-drywall walk through yesterday. It was supposed to be at 11 AM, but we found out right after Jerry's parents walked in that it was canceled. Luckily, we rescheduled it for 1 PM and Jerry's parents could stay to watch Kaleigh. I took advantage of babysitters and went to work in the yard. They are going to start putting up drywall on Monday. It is so exciting. My parents came over in the afternoon, we went out to eat and then took them to the house.
All the wiring and insulation is in.

Today we have been cleaning. We have 2 showings today, plus an open house tomorrow, plus my nephew's birthday party tomorrow.

Jeanne: WOW! That is a hunk of change! How was Lesley's shower?

I can't think of anything else right now.

Jeanne, how wonderful. Boy I would sure volunteer for extra hours at THAT pay!! Hope the surprise shower went ok.

Denine, that house of yours is sure going up fast. Isn't it fun watching?

Ted is home and we are busy trying to balance Ted's dads checkbook. We thought we got it last month but we are off again. I hate being off on someone elses. It looks like we are incapable. Cross your fingers.

The insurance man is here for the truck and trailer. He was an hour late. What a pain that hail caused!!
