Hi All! Just checking in. NOthing going on here today ,but taking Anna Marie back home in about an hour.

Denine, WOW! 3 Inches! We had a slight dusting and that was about it. You could still see the grass through it this morning around here. It was all gone by 1pm. Funny what a few miles can do weather wise. I hope you get your hot water tank fixed soon. We had that problem awhile ago and it is a pain to have to heat water up on the stove to bath. I hope everything goes well.

I thought of all of you when you were at Fargo's! I hope Sandy had a drink for me!

Have a great day everyone! Will check back in later!

Julie, Julie, Julie. You never told me to have a drink for you. All I had was water. If I knew you wanted something, I would have gladly imbibed. :teeth: :hyper:

Hi, everyone! Glad to hear the Fargo's outing went well and everyone had fun (except Heidi). I hope she feels better soon.

We got back from Raleigh around 5:00. Turner's team came in 2nd place in the District Tournament. They only lost one game. We had a good time anyway. The kids are so wonderful and get along so well.

My sinuses are giving me a horrible time. The tree pollen count is just so high right now. Our weather has cooled off too around here and we're supposed to get down to freezing tonight. I want the 70s back!

Turner has 3 school days this week and then spring break the rest and all next week. He is ready for it!

Denine, hope you get the hot water heater fixed soon.

Gotta run. We're going out for dinner since I have nothing in the house to prepare. Good excuse for me!

Later!

PS - I'm in for a wine chat too. How about this Friday night?

Unfortunately I couldn't make it to Fargos on Sunday. I began the morning with a bad migraine and it moved into the stomach flu. The people at Fargos wouldn't have wanted me there that day anyway. The most I was able to function was running to the bathroom because I couldn't keep anything in. I learned real quick to stop trying to eat and drink because it wouldn't stay with me long. I was so disappointed on Sunday because I was so looking forward to meeting atleast some of you!!!! Maybe it was my body's way of telling me to slow down.

I woke up this morning and my stomach still feels queasy so I will see how long I stay at work. I have to get some things done because I have a desk audit tomorrow that I wasn't able to prepare for due to the pay adjustments last week.

I hope you all have a great week. Denine I hope you get your hot water back. I take 30 minute showers so I know I would be screwed without hot water.

Thanks Denine for the welcome back...wasn't sure anyone even knew I was gone....maybe the computer will behave itself for awhile.

The snow is gone and it is suppose to get up to the high 50's today. I have about a third of the backyard to do yet and I will be done until the annuals can be planted. My weeping cherry tree is in full bloom and the peach tree is starting to bloom....seems a little early to me but then I have never been this far along with the yard before...at least a month.

Patti's didn't get out of here until after 4....they are going to be tired at work this morning but Patti has to get payroll out.

Have a great day everyone!

Busy day here. And it is all Bonnie's fault. I talked to her on the phone Saturday and she gave me the idea for mini Easter baskets as place settings. I ran all over town looking for some. She recommended making them but I can't remember how to do that anymore. I know I used to do it. I settled for some Easter egg dye kits with 5 colored "baskets". I will decorate and put names on them. If anyone has any other ideas, please let me know.

Sally, it is nice to hear from you again after all this time. It certainly has been awhile since you were able to post.

Dinner time so I better run. I think it is going to rain again tonight. Yahoo!!!

Sally - I think it is laundry gremlins. I swear, there is no way we create the amount of laundry I have to do. There are only 3 of us but I never have it all caught up!! It was so good to see you back posting. You have been missed!

Heidi - I hope you made it through the day today and are back 100% soon!

Picked Stanley up at the kennel after work. We missed him so much. Friday he is being neutered and will be gone over night. I'll pick him up Saturday morning.

Paul and Turner will be in Columbia, SC Friday evening and Saturday morning for practice with his new team, the Spirit. I'm staying home to get Stanley taken care of. That is why I am free Friday night for the wine chat. Even if it is only a couple of us, I hope we get together!

Turner is into division now and having a meltdown with homework tonight. He is taking a shower and then we are going to go back to it. Hopefully he will be a little calmer!

Gotta run,
Later!

Patti didn't get home until 2 in the morning...poor baby is probably so tired and has to get the payroll out today..

My granddaughter is on her way over to go to Penney's and Walmart....

I worked outside for awhile today...it was in the high 60's so had to do something besides laundry and pay bills.

Hey guys. I'll try to join in for a Friday chat. I work till 6:30 but then am on call (=no wine), so I may or may not get home. I'm usually greeted with a sink of dishes and every problem and every argument that three people could possibly come up with, upon my return. We'll see if I can get some ME time on the computer. I wish the hospital internet would allow me into a chat room. I'd just clock out and hide out there;) . See... another reason I need a laptop (that works).

Denine, I hope you have had a nice hot shower by now. Ah, the therapeutic benefits of a nice long shower. I of course always feel guilty for using too much water during a drought...:( but would do it if I could. I think a vacation to the East just to take a guilt free long shower would be worthwhile. Enjoy when you have it!

GO TURNER!!!

Hey, Katie's Beagle just might work out. She's pretty much crept into each of our hearts. Gracie is tolerating her... but I think is OK with it. She has done NO damage and is learning a few commands. I think she just needed the attention (very needy) and Katie has enough of that to give.

Julie, how about some more Brookie updates!!!!

Sandy darling, have your secretary call my secretary. Me must get together.

Chao babes.

 Good morning guys.

Susan, your household is like my brothers. Never a time just to sit. Always, sports and homework.

Lori, my secretary thinks that your secretary should call because of Ben's sleeping hours. I (she) doesn't want to wake him up.
This time YOU name the restaurant.

I am in for the wine chat this Friday.

I HAVE to get my menu completed for Easter Sunday. I am having 14 people. I think that Dixie is calling my name for this one! I don't need all those glasses and plates to wash. ::yes::

WE HAVE HOT WATER!!!!!!!! :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

It felt wonderful to take a shower yesterday

Lori: Did you try your chai tea? I have learned not to mix it up before I use it. Too many spices upsets my stomach.

Vent: My brother called a week or so ago asking if I knew what my mom was wanting for a party for their 40th anniversary/ my mom's 70th birthday/ my dad's 65th birthday. I said I didn't know what she had planned, just that she wanted to celebrate the milestone numbers. So, he tells me to try to find out. I said no problem. But, I have only talked to my mom because my aunt was in the hospital. I didn't think it appropriate to ask how my mom wanted to celebrate, when her sister was in the hospital. Now, he tells me, he thought I could do all the planning. He wants to have it on their side of town. I don't live over there anymore and haven't in 12-1/2 years. I told him I thought we were planning this together. Ugghhh!!!!!!!! Where am I to get all this free time?

Sue: Good for Turner!

Heidi: Hope you are feeling better!

Sally: I wish something would start blooming in our yard. I do have a couple of daffodils out, but they got frozen last night. It went down to 25. We are supposed to be in the 50's today.

Sandy: It doesn't seem like Easter is on Sunday. It is hard to get into Easter when it is still o much like winter. Te rest of the snow from Monday still needs to melt.

Julie: How did you end up with so little snow? It was so slushy and yucky here. We went past your house yesterday. We went to a plumbing store around the corner from you. We had to get a new tank thingy that goes on top of the hot water heater.

:Pinkbounc :bounce: Yea, Denine has hot water. I bet you took a long hot shower! Sorry about your brother. It seems like the planning is always up to the girls. I guess the guys seem to think that it goes with the gender. You were right. It wasn't the time and place to ask about a celebration at the hospital.

Well, another babysitting day for me and another strange disease. A few years ago Noah got hand, foot, and mouth disease and now poor Graci has it. Probably got it at the daycare at the gym. She is doing just fine.

Problem solved. I talked to my parents this morning and all they want to do is go out to dinner as a family. I told this to my brother origanlly, but for some reason he thought they were expecting some big party. My mom said no way. She hates being around a lot of people, which I told him. He said that since they would be the center of attention, they would enjoy it. I told him I didn't think so. I am right and he was wrong, nyah, nyah, nyah, nyah, nayh.

Sandy: I took my long, hot shower this morning. Jerry turned the heat up on it after I had my shower yesterday.

I took Kaleigh for a walk this afternoon while it was "warm" enough and before the next batch of rain comes.

We go to the mall later to pick up Kaleigh's pictures and get Brother Bear.

HONESTLY , would any of you care if I invited Faith to the wine chat? Our thread for the next cruise is so boring and I know she would love a more active one. All that regularly post is Faith, Jeanne and myself.

I'm fine with Faith joining us if you think she can handle us!

Can't stay on. Turner has spelling test tomorrow and a Social Studies quiz. It is his last day before spring break and there is no break from the studying tonight.

Have a great evening.
Later!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO PAUL SCHROLL!!!!!!!!! :cool1:

Garry and I hope you have a wonderful day!!!!

Go out and celebrate with Susan and Turner!!

Happy Birthday, Paul!
(what would we do without Julie)

Denine, YES is did make the spiced milk. I love it. I even tried it in coffee yesterday ... just as good. I've gone thru a whole mason jar of it already. I sweetened it with sweetened condensed milk, right in the same jar, so it's so easy to add to the tea. One quick step if I use tea bags. I like some teas that I buy loose, so I use a French press to make those, a little more effort, but so, so good. Thank you for the recipe. I think I'll bring a batch to the family Easter dinner to share.

Sandy, bring Faith along to the chat. We adopt folks pretty easily around here. Just ask Heidi.
I'm still trying to find a clear Wednesday. As usual, my secretary way over booked me this month. I would fire her if I didn't need her to type my email and board replies
(**Lori's such a mean boss!**) :teeth:

Happy hump day to you all. Adios Amigos.
