First things first:
Happy Anniversary, Ted and Sandy!

I tried to check in this morning but couldn't connect to the DISBoard! We had a great weekend in Charleston. The Charlotte Blast Squirt team won the McCaig cup championship even though we lost one game this weekend. Turner was also awarded the Most Valuable Goalie award for the league's regular season. We had no idea that they were giving out anything except the Team Cup and Banner. I actually cried when he got the trophy and so did Paul. He has worked so hard for it and really did deserve it! He wasn't quite up to par this weekend but he was taking some pretty heavy cough medicine with codeine at night. He is much better now!

Heidi: Glad you made it to DC ok. I was thinking about you. I'm glad you can post from there too. We need you to help keep the posts going. If it wasn't for you and your mom, where would we be?

Sandy: Please tell Stacey I am so sorry to hear about her pets. I was so sad to hear the news.

Barb: Thanks for remembering us little people! Hope the production is going great! How's the tanning working out for you guys? where's your Mom? Haven't seen a post from her in a few days?

Jeanne: Hope the cat heals fine without surgery! There's one less life for that feline!

Denine: Glad you were able to enjoy some nice weather. Our warm weather is gone and cold has come back. The cold front came in late yesterday evening right after we got home and we had gusts well over 50mph. Lots of damage around the city. A tree fell over across a man's deck about 10 miles away hitting him and killing him! There was no rain involved and it was over in about 20-30 minutes. Now they say we may get some flurries tomorrow evening. It was 83 in Charleston on Saturday and beautiful!

Enough from me for now. I'll check back in tomorrow morning if I can get logged in!

Missed you guys!
Love ya! Later!

WAY TO GO TURNER!!!!!!!!!!!

We are soooooooooooooo PROUD of you!!!!!!!!!!!! We will definitely be seeing his name in the NHL!!! There is no doubt in my mind!

Sandy, please tell Stacey that we are sorry for her lost! We all know what it is like to lose a pet, but it is still so hard. We still have pictures in our living room of our first cat Radar! He was very special to us. Please send her some pixie dust from all of us!

Jeanne, I hope the kitty will be ok without having to have surgery. Our Radar (who was only 3 years old when he passed) had several surgeries before he went to that great big litter box in the sky! We spent more then double your surgery price to try to keep him with us! Our pets are a very important part of our families and we don't like to see them hurt or in pain. I'll keep my fingers crossed that the kitty doesn't need surgery.

Barb, can I have an autograph?

Chicago...or should I say Glenn was wonderful!!! Pancakes cooked for me every morning by Glenn. We were busy, busy busy!! He is a truly wonderful man! He has the patience of a saint with me! The light in the kitchen looks wonderful...of course it still doesn't work ...need to get the house rewired! YUK! The curtains in the DR look wonderful as do the kitchen curtains. Poor Glenn...probably happy to see me gone for a bit so he can relaX! Love that guy! puckerup: puckerup:

Magic Erasers-we were introduced to them this weekend...they are terrific! Coupon in Sunday;s paper.

Sandy and Ted- Happy belated Anniversary!!!!
So sorry to hear about Stacy's pets. Fish can have such wonderful personalities. People at work have those Beta fish on their desks. One of them swims up to me a talks to me each time he sees me...of course that is only when he wants to be fed.

Heidi....too bad you didn't get to see Chicago from the ground. IT is a beautiful city. Glenn showed me some of the inside of buildings downtown...incredible!!! You will have to visit Chicago some time. It is well worth the trip...escpecially for me! LOL!

Krista-ever think about opening a catering company?

Julie-great talking to you even though my mind was on the plane! Unfortunately it was not delayed coming home. Darn!

Turner Congratulations!!!!

Jeanne-GLenn and I were saying that driving 5 hours would thrill us!!! We would drive it every weekend to be together!!

Quick post since I am running late!

Bonnie - Glad you had a good time in Chicago and made it home safely.

Everyone have a great day!
Later!

So much to say!!!! I am having a good time in DC. Still a little hard to sleep with all the sirens and bums talking in the allie at night, but not bad. Yesterday after work we went to 2 Smithsonian museums: the American History one and the Holocaust one. Walking back to the hotel we took the scenic route and ended up some how walking by the White House - so beautiful!!! Finally found a place to eat!!!! My co-worker and I just can't seem to find anywhere to eat around our hotel. If you have any suggestions we are at the corner of 21st Street and E street. We finally found TGI Fridays up near GW University.

Krista - I am not sure what my migraine medicine is. I have 2 prescriptions but both of them are not commercialized like Imitrex. Only one of them works to take care of my bad migraines..they are red pills and I take 2 when the migraines starts and 1 every hour up to 5 pills. They work great. When I get home I will look at the prescription and let you know what it is. My mom can look to if she knows where to find them!!!

Bonnie - Welcome home. I would have loved to spend more time in Chicago. It looks so beautiful. One of these days I will have to get out there and spend a few day out there and explore!!! I have a friend out there who is a doctor and graduated from Northwestern so I know he could show me the ropes!!!

Susan - all I can say is like mother, like daughter!!!! I love Hockey so I will be excited to see Turner in the NHL...just a few more years and it could all be a reality and actually happen!!!

Mom - Happy anniversary, even though I told you it on the phone!!

Have a great day. I will check in tomorrow.

Good Morning!

Wow lots to read on the board! Last night my Mom and I went to buy material for my costume. The church supplies them but I thought it would be much easier to make one. Dang if I only knew how to sew! MOM...........

Jeanne-I hope the kitty gets better. You are so wonderful taking care of your friends cat!

Hope eveyone is having a wonderful day.

Barb:smooth:

Happy Anniversary Sandy & Ted!!!!!!!!! :jumping1:

It looks like we had people come out of the woodwork yesterday.

Sue: Congratulate Turner for us!

Jeanne: Poor kitty! I hope it doesn't require surgery!

Bonnie: Sounds like you had a wonderful, but busy weekend!

Woke up to several inches of unexpected snow. They were only calling for flurries. At least it is starting to melt off the driveway. I hate winter.

Barb: The 10 day cruise we want to take next spring isn't...gasp... a Disney cruise. It is with Princess. The Magic Eraser is by Mr. Clean and it is wonderful. Try to remeber us all when you make it big! :teeth:

Heidi: We never made it to the Holocaust museum. We ran out of time. We did a whirlwind tour of the city as it was.

Sandy: We had 1 freak nice day. The rest of the time it is in the 30's. We haven't had much snow-wise for a while though and that has been nice. I hope this snow goes away quickly.

Good morning everyone,

Thanks for all the anniversary wishes. We had a nice quiet evening. Ted tried to take the day off but had a meeting and some agreements to get out.

Jeanne, do you have to ask? Of course you are welcome to join us at Ron Jon's. I was hoping you might be able to. We will even have a CAR!! Plus, we might even drive to Downtown Disney on Thursday. Wanna come? We arrive in Orlando via Frontier at 4:10pm, Thurs 10-21. Tried for an earlier flight like before but they no longer offer one. I am sorry about your roommates cat. We came home from vacation once to a dog that was shooed off a couch and landed on the side of a coffee table. He needed hip surgery. Jeanne, don't you know by now that men don't talk about things? I am sure he is hurting over his son. If he would only talk about it.....

Susan, we all knew that Turner was the most valuable goalie!! Glad that he got an award for it. Tears are good. Shows how proud you are of him!!!

Heidi, sounds like you are having a blast. Just remember you are out there to WORK! :hyper:

Barb, I don't think that there are too many people out there in the world anymore that can sew. I used to. Horrors to think of putting in a zipper anymore, though. I used to make the girls matching dresses for them and their cabbage patch dolls for Easter. Magic Erasers are a cleaning product made by Mr. Clean. They look like sponges. Wet them and go to town. I cleaned my tennis shoes with them the other day. Wow, now they don't look so gross.

Bonnie, love your enthusiasm whenever you see Glenn. ::yes:: We can always tell when you need a Glenn fix.Great idea about Krista and a catering company!

Julie, glad to see that you posted a little. Lets see more postings! (we know the baby sleeps through the night now! )

Ok........I just HAD to post when I read Barb's.........you went to a fabric store!! I thought you were allergic to them! Now I know better and next time I come up....Cloth World here we come!

Happy late Anniversary to Sandy and Ted!

Enjoy your vacation even if you are working Heidi.

So sorry about Stacey's kitty.

Congrats to Turner! You go boy!

Hi to everyone else and have a great day

I almost forgot.......we will be up there the first weekend in April for Barb's play. Any chance of moving the Fargo's date to then?

PLAY!!! PLAY!!! No not PLAY!!

This is a very large scale "PRODUCTION". Complete with live animals, fireworks and a waterfall. Plays are for school kids! I am up with the big wigs ya know!! ;)

Moving the date would be fine with me. Sunday afternoon would work because on Saturday we have 3 performances.

Got my cruise reservation confirmation yesterday. YIPPEE!!

Barb:smooth:

Forget the Cloth World thing. I still can't do fabric stores.

I bought my material from Hobby Lobby.
Craft Store-YAY
Fabric Store-BOOOOOO

My bad!! Don't know a play from a "production" or a craft store from a fabric store

But.......Hobby Lobby will work as long as you go to the fabric department with me. You know, for real we need to do that and find fabric for your gingerbread tree skirt.

We have to head home on Sunday but maybe if we went about 11?

When I am in Hobby Lobby I can live in Denial that I am in
with material!!

As long as we go to Hobby Lobby I will hang in the fabric. I will need to run to the fun stuff to recoop.:p

Sandy- Will April 4 at 11:00 work for you guys??

I can go, as long as my mom and dad can make it. (they are the drivers) I made it to Fargos 2 times by myself but of course I had exact instructions from my brother in law otherwise I would be lost.

See mom, I am trying to call Rich my brother in law, instead of my sister's husband!!! Atleast brother in law sounds like I like him and claim him. Work...trying to!!! Get up early, go to work and no one is there, leave early (because no one is there to see when we came in) and see the sites!!! Works good for me.

You know that would be fun, BUT I can't keep flying all over the country to deliver ;) ;) ;)

Happy anniversary to you Sandy and Ted. Wow, 29 years, doesn't it just seem like 100. Just kidding, that's what I always tell David (joking of course)

Booked dinner at California Grill to see the fireworks for our May trip. Doesn't seem like a real Disney vacation without all of you all there.

Heidi: Glad you are having such a great time. You will definitely have the travel bug now. Next stop, overseas.....

I don't think we are cruise-bound this year. It is David's 40th in September and he really wants to go back to St. Thomas. Maybe we can time it with the cruise. I am looking into taking him to Paris for 4-5 days before that as a suprise, eeek. Suprise, me???

K

 Oh my gosh, PARIS! How cool is that? Why won't you consider catering to all of us? You could fly all over the US!

April 4th is good for us, too. As long as Monument is passable we can be there. Lori???

Hi Denine, you posted last time when I was typing. Hope you are having a terrific day! It is in the 70's here. Unbelievably beautiful day. Sorry Heidi!

The poor kitty has a cast on its back leg but you should see her get around. It is amazing! The vet told us to us a cookie sheet for a litterbox because she would not be able to get in & out of a litterbox but low & behold she gets in & out of her litterbox.

SANDY & TED: Discussed Ron Jon Resort with Joyce & she says go for it! So I am going to try to make arrangements to get down there on Thursday morning so we can enjoy the resort.

BONNIE: In love again?:love2: Sounds like you had a terrific time in Chicago.

Have a great night & day tomorrow. Toodles:wave2: :earsgirl: JEANNE

HI guys!
We'll be in the Springs towards Mar 27-29 ... something like that. Sorry, no Fargo's Sandy, thanks for getting in touch with me. Happy Anniversary!
Heidi, I went thru a Holocaust museum once, I think it was in Germany,. ..but it might have been Smithsonian too. Sometimes I wish I didn't have such a photographic memory and an interest in medicine at the same time. Those experiments done on prisoners were pretty horrific.
Congratulations on your big stardom Barb, and to think we knew you back when...
Finally finished with the cookie ordeal. Turned in the big fat check today. Yeahhh. Camp is done, I'm on vacation! Ok, so the Cub Scout Pinewood derby is this weekend, but Ben is on top of that. Snooze time. I think I'm done with that 2nd job at the other hospital, just the usual one now.
Cody says "Hi". (He just came down from bed)
Ahh, so much for that "Me" time.
See ya'll later.
Lori
