Jeanne- In love again? ALways in love just doubted it for a bit. I do have a terrific guy! WHo else would feed me pancakes every day?? The way to me heart-through my stomach! LOL!

Krista-take me to Paris!!! I will be your Au Pair over there! I always wanted to go there since I took 5years of French in Jr and Sr high school.

Heidi-somewhere in DC there is a Cheescake Factory-my favorite restaurant. I think you can get there on the Metro. They have a terrific steak house also but I forget the name of it...one in DC and one in Tyson's Corner VA. Of course at the price it is you would have to use your entire food allowance for the day and then some.

Happy Hump Day to all...just 2 more days after today and the weekend is here! Sleep!!!!

Good morning everyone. I woke up with a bad sore throat. Hopefully this won't last long!

Turner has Academic Games tournament today and tomorrow with the other Catholic school teams. I am going to try to stop in and out but I have some things at work keeping me from going to all of it.

Everyone have a great Hump Day!
Later!

Well I had the best time last night. Got off of work about 3:00 and went to Union Station and grabbed something to eat. I took an early shower and was in my PJ's watching American Idol when my cell phone rang at about 8:00.....Thought it was my mom or DBF. To my suprise it was ex-boyfriend's dad, he had just arrived in Washington DC and was coming to get me.

He picked me up and we went everywhere. We drove by all the monuments, Embassy Row, the Capitol and White House, the Vice President's house, Georgetown, the Pentagon, pretty much all of the 10 square miles of DC. We then went into Arlington Virginia and ate in Old Town Virginia near the Potomic River at the Fish Market and then drove to Key Bridge. Everything was so beautiful. I would have never been able to see all this if he wasn't here. I was so excited. He told me that "Tonight was the driving Tour, but tomorrow is the walking tour." I can't wait.

We didn't get home until midnight, and I had to be up by 6:00 for work and of course I didn't get to sleep right away because of all the excitement. Absolutely amazing.

Bonnie - The steakhouse you are talking about is it called Blackies? We drove by there and Randy said it was a really good steakhouse, but I am not much of a steak person so we headed for seafood!!!

Susan - hopefully you aren't sick. It's getting to be to close to Spring to get sick. Hope you feel better.

Krista - overseas? Maybe in a few more trips I will get brave to go overseas, as of now not too interested!!

Hope everyone is having a great week.

I feel really numb today. Last night at rehersal Bob got a call
on his cell phone from TIffany she had been involved in a car accident. It totalled her car. We rushed out of the church to be by her side. When we got there thank God no one was hurt. I just stood there frozen. We have really never had to deal with a car accident before. None of the kids have had one. Of course Tiffany's car only had liability so we lost a great car. I have no idea how we are going to replace it. I am thinking maybe we should forego the cruise this year.

Barb: Oh my!! You must have been terrified! I am glad no one was hurt! Does she really need to have a car? I didn't get one until I was in college and needed one.

Sandy: Almost all the snow melted yesterday. I don't think I have ever seen that much snow melt so quickly and it only got up to 38, but it was sunny all day. It is only supposed to be 30 on Friday with more snow.

Heidi: Wow! You really are getting to see the sights. Maybe someday we will make it back to DC and have more time to spend. You aren't going to want to go home. You are having too much fun

Krista: Paris! That sounds like fun. ::yes::

Jeanne: Sounds like the kitty is getting around just fine! I take it she doesn't need surgery.

Kaleigh has been a bear these last 2 days. As soon as Jerry got home yesterday I went grocery shopping. She is some better today.

Oh Barb, you poor thing. I am so sorry to hear about Tiffany. I am happy that no one was injured. We only bought the girls a cheap car to share and I mean cheap. It was like 500.00 and lasted them through high school when they went out and bought their own car.

Heidi was so psyched last night. I am so happy that Randy arrived so that she could see the sights in style. Too bad he didn't get there earlier and is leaving a day before she is.

Denine, how is Kaleigh doing? Graci was a bear yesterday, too. Hmmm, something in the air?

Susan, hate to hear about that sore throat. Seems like when you get sick, you get a doozy.

Jeanne, I wish we could get to RonJon's earlier in the day so we all could play. If we go to Downtown Disney that night do you want to come too? Poor little kitty. A cast. How tiny it must be!

Bonnie, hump day it is. It would have been a sleep day for me but a woodpecker decided to drill in our house around 6:30 am. Darn that bird!

Hi Cody! Sorry you can't make it to Fargos Lori. You will be missed. Heidi needs to meet you too. Maybe a lunch on a Friday sometime.

Good morning Heidi Ann!

Throat still hurts and my head is stuffy but I made it through the day.

Heidi - sounds like you are having a blast in DC. I hope the walking tour is just as fun for you. Can't wait to hear about the rest of your trip!

Barb - OMG!!! I am so glad Tiffany is OK! I can not imagine what you went through. Cars can be replaced but our loved ones can not. Please tell her we are glad she is OK!

I wish I could meet you all at Fargos. Sounds like you will have a lot of fun.

Turner says THANKS for all the comments.

Denine - glad the snow melted quickly. Spring will be here soon!

Hi to Sandy, Sally, Bonnie, Jeanne, Krista, Lori, Laurie, Joyce, Julie, Patty, and anyone I left out!

Love ya!
Later!

Hi Susan, funny you posted. I was just wondering how you were feeling. Glad you made it through the day.

I was just checking out the price of a cookbook that Stacey has. It is Casseroles to the Rescue by Barbara C. Jones. It is the same company that has the 3 or 4 or 5 Ingredients cookbook line. I have the 4 Ingredient cookbook and love it. Stacey's casserole one is great too. Can't find it at Sam's Club anymore but can buy it online for 14.00. Not bad but I don't want to pay 8.00 for shipping. Thought I would run over to Barnes and Noble to see if they can order in. I mentioned it in case any of you are out for a good and easy cookbook. The meals are always EASY and yummy.

Ted is at Hooters. A friend of his won 100 chicken wings so the men are out playing. I love the quiet time. I always eat poached eggs on toast when I am by myself. It is my treat.

Apprentice tonight. Now it is time for potty mouth Heidi to go. My Heidi heard that Omarosa (sp) is suing Trump for injuries. OSHA is getting involved because none of them had hard hats on. oops!

Hi guys.
Barb, so glad that Tiffany is OK. Kaleigh and Susan, get well soon.
Sandy jogged me back into "this" world:p tonight. So here's an update on camp with the difficult child.....

In a message dated 3/10/2004 6:08:42 PM Mountain Standard Time, Savanho writes:
How was that girl that has never made it through the night at a sleepover?

The little s*** didn't even show up! Actually, that was the best cookie money I've ever wasted (OK, it was the only cookie money I've ever wasted) We were all secretly relieved when the note arrived that she wouldn't be coming at all. Thursday night the Mom called me with the back and forth routine, I said "let's have you bring her up Sat. morning, she won't miss any activities, then we'll get her thru Sat night no matter what. Sounded like a good plan. Then her Dad's calling me at work Friday morning saying, now she want's to go for the whole thing. I had to call another leader for advice and she said that wasn't my job to get her thru such a big deal, so to say, "too late" she can only come on Sat morning now, as previously arraigned. He wasn't thrilled, but agreed. Then while at camp, I get a note from the director that they called Ben and he called camp to relay that they weren't coming at all. Whew. I haven't even talked to the Mom on the subject since returning, I think we'll just drop it. The girls at school have moved along (she was bought another pet to make up for her 'disappointment') so I will too.
We had a GREAT time!!!! The wind that was here in town didn't hit us, it was just beautiful. Our Friday afternoon hike was way-cool since it was making virgin tracks into new snow, (4") but it melted and absorbed the next morning, making it nice jeans weather for the rest of the weekend. I think it was a great first experience for the girls.
Wow, look how chatty I've become ... I'm copying this to the boards for a post!

THERE, that's my quota, right?!?!? No mounties for me!

Wait, there's MORE. We had a nice cabin at the top of a hill (now dubbed "theighmaster hill") with another small troop. 11 people for 18 beds. Worked out great and all went from strangers to dear friends. It was a blast. Exhausting, but great.
OK, I'm shutting up now. 'Night everybody!!!

Good morning {cough, cough, cough} .

Lori - it's probably best that she didn't show up! {cough, cough, cough} Sounds like you had a great time.

Sandy - this old is settling in my chest! {cough, cough, cough} Uh-oh!! I need to stay on top of this one. I sure don't need bronchitis!

I'm going to try to get over to Turner's Academic Games this afternoon for the last rounds and the awards ceremony. {cough, cough, cough} His school has 21 kids on their team. The top 12 in this tournament will get to go to the National tournament in Kissemee, FL late April. {cough, cough, cough} I'm not sure Turner will make it but if he does, we'll be Florida bound!

Everyone have a great day. (Survivor tonight!) {cough, cough, cough}

Later!

Once again had a great time yesterday with Randy (my ex's dad). I actually got to walk through the monuments and memorials. We went to Washington, Lincoln, Jefferson, Roosevelt monuments and Vietnam, Korean, Iwa Jimo memorials. I got to see them during the night and during the day. I think I like them better at night, so beautiful.

For dinner we went to Phillips on the other side of the Potamic River. It was a seafood buffet. He knows I love seafood so he made sure to get me to places for fresher seafood than CO!!! Expensive, but hey the government was paying for both of us!!!

He dropped me off and I could tell that we both didnt really want to leave each other that we were having so much fun and it was like old times. But I went up to my room and called my mom sobbing!!! He tried to talk me into flying out tonight with him and he would drop me off at my house, but he can only fly United, non-stop and the last flight is at 4:30 from Dulles and I will get off of work at 3:00 and to check out of my hotel, get to the airport, return his car, check in and security...we would never make it. Maybe I can convince him to leave tomorrow morning!! Not possible since he is a supervisor of 100 people at home that he needs to help out on Friday.

I am going to have to convince my parents to come out here for a vacation to see the wonderful sights. Maybe I can convince them to come with me when I come back for 2 days and while I am at work, they can go tour. Atleast they would have a free room!!! They would only have to pay for food, and transportation (flight, possibly a taxi)

Well tomorrow I am out of here and heading home to start my busy weekend. When well the busy days end? I am excited to get home although it was so much fun here.

It's a deal, Heidi Ann. I am flying out with you next time. I just brought it up with your dad a day or two ago. I was wondering if it was possible that we stay in your hotel. Too cool. DC bound! By the way, we woke up to having channel 4, MTV, Nic back etc. back.

Ok, so Heidi had me sobbing last night too. It was very hard for her to say goodbye to Bryan's dad. They have always been so close. She loves the whole family dearly. She talked to his mom on the phone last night too and Diana told her she loved her. WOW! EXACTLY a year later and all these old feelings come pouring out......from all of us.

Susan, sorry about your cough, cough, cough ! Better take care of that! Maybe Florida in the future for you? I am jealous. Anywhere in Florida is great! Hey, when are you booking our cruise? Do I need to call Paul?

Stupid me was mixed up last night. Apprentice was a rerun. Oh well, I watched American Idol. Survivor tonight. I only wish it was goodbye Boston Rob.

Lori, what a pain that family has been for you. At least it didn't spoil your weekend. Theighmaster Hill? Where is it? I want to visit. Oh, ok. I NEED to visit.

Gotta run. Time for Noah and Graci.

Barb - I just read all the posts to catch up, I am so sorry about Tiffany. That must have been terrifying for you and her. You guys are definitely in my thoughts, so sorry to hear about that. I am actually traveling with a co-worker who lost her daughter to a car accident last May. Her daughter was 14 at the time and her uncle was driving drunk and Ashley wasnt wearing a seatbelt and the car rolled. Unfortunately Ashley died and her brother lived. God was definitely keeping an eye out for Tiffany.

Susan - I hope you feel better.

Mom - Yes and you wont even have to pay for the cab ride to and from the airport!!! Sound fun? Maybe I can convince Joyce to leave on Sunday again and fly back Tuesday or Wednesday morning. Then you could have Sunday when we get in, Monday when I am at work and possibly Tuesday to play around and see the sights. You can maybe even stay one more day and just pay for a night at the hotel.

Good morning

Thank you everyone for the thoughts and prayers for Tiffany
she is pretty shaken up. We are all getting over the shock.

Heidi-glad you had such a wonderful time. Lets make it a group thing next time :p

This weekend I am going to tackle making my costume. Hope Mom's patience is refueled!

Susan-Hope you feel better soon.

Have a great day!!

Barb:smooth:

Heidi: Glad you had such a wonderful time!

Sue: I hope you get well quickly!

Lori: I don't know if I could have the patience for dealing with some of those girls and their parents. SOunds like you had a good weekend though.

Barb: Good luck with your costume!

Kaleigh was much better yesterday. She is trying to adjust to 1 nap a day. Maybe it is I that is trying to adjust to 1 nap a day. I need my "me" time.

I forgot to mention that I lost 1/2 pound this past week. We walked outside yesterday, but it is the treadmill today.

Ollie goes to the vet in the morning to have his teeth cleaned. He will probably be there all day to recover from the anesthesia.

Jerry has our taxes done and my parents almost done. His parents are dropping theirs off this evening.

We are supposed to get rain turning to snow today. Jerry is working from home tomorrow because of having to drop Ollie off in the morning.

Still not feeling well but wanted to check in and say hello. TGIF!! Later!

(Edited to add these cool guys!)

Good Morning and Happy Friday!

It has been a stressful week and I for one am glad it is coming to an end!!

We are in the process of car shopping for Tiffany. After long discussions and research it would be better to get her another car then to not allow her to drive or insure her on one of our cars.

I am feeling like myself again. Back to planning and looking forward to Disney again.

The board was pretty quiet yesterday!!

I am planning a scavenger hurt for our family when we are on the cruise. I want to get about 100 items to make it last all week. Any ideas???

Barb :smooth:

TGIF! :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Ollie is at the vets getting his teeth sparkling clean. :teeth:

Nothing else going on.

Hope everyone has a good weekend!

Get better Sue!

Morning guys, nothing new here. Heidi is due in in a couple of hours so will be running out to the airport.

Barb, your scavenger hunt sounds interesting. How are you doing it?

Poor Susan. :( Still under the weather.

Lucky Ollie. I love to get my teeth clean. The results feel so good!

Here is my idea so far for the scavenger hunt.

Everyone will pair up. If everyone in my family goes that we are expecting it should be about 10 pairs. Each will be given a list of things to find on board and the islands. at the end of the week the one with the most will get the prize. I have about 20 items so far to look for. I want about 100.

What do you think?? hummmmmmmm
