It may be time to send out the mounties!

It is cold but sunny. I am still stuffed up and a little tired from being sick, but I don't feel too bad. I have plenty of things that I need to get done this week.

Tomorrow is Fat Tuesday. Jerry's mom will be bringing over Paczki. She makes it every year.

Hope everyone had a good weekend.

Barb: Your weekend sounded like fun, except for the closet cleaning. Christmas presents already?

Sue: Your weekend sounded just plain busy. Hope Yurner does well on his tests.

Fat Tuesday already. This year seems to be going by so fast. I can't wait until summer, hopefully the months continue to go by fast and summer will be here what seems like next month!!!!

I found out good news about my job...I can work a compressed schedule and get the second friday off of the pay period. That means if I start working 9 hours today, I can get the Friday off before I head to Washington D.C. and I just looked at my calendar and that will give me four 4-day weekends, this year!!!

I wonder where my mom is...guess I will be the mountie and have to find her. I'll haunt her down for all of you. I hope everyone is going great and starting to feel better. Have a great week.

Hi Heidi!!

Lucky you. 4-Day weekends!!

Glad you are going to find Sandy. I have been wondering where she is. The board is just not the same without her!!

Still looking forward to our Fargo's day! Hope Patty can come up too.

Gee Heidi, get off my case! No, Hi everyone. I am fine. Just been busy trying to find the family room. We painted it as you all know but never put it back together again.

Fargos, how about the LAST week of March, Barb? Stacey and Richard are still planning on going if it all works out. I hope Patty can make it. I never have met her so that would be fun for me.

Denine, thanks, you kept the thread going! You get an "atta Girl" on that one.

Good news for you, Heidi, on your schedule. That is exactly what you wanted for camping! What kind of trouble do you think that we can get into just the two of us on a Friday?

Barb, what's this about a luau party before your cruise? Heidi was suggesting one in Faith's suite (Walt Disney Suite) ON our cruise.

Susan, I guess you definitely was kept busy this weekend. Does it ever slow down for you? At least you found time to shop. How do you do it all without Paul? I am glad that Ted doesn't travel. I would miss him dearly. Guess you get used to it though.

Guess we won't hear from Jeanne for awhile. Bobby is back. Hope he had a successful trip.

I have a few errands to run and maybe I will check in later. Hey Heidi, I am going to go buy the makings for Alex (?) Italian meatloaf. Until later......

Well I finally found my mom for you guys. She was stuck under a bunch of trash and blankets downstairs....luckily she made it through!!!

Looking forward to Fargo's. If everyone can make it, it sounds like it will be a pretty big event. Even my DBF said he would come!!! I can just taste the pizza right now, better go eat lunch. Just thought I would check to make sure my mom found the thread alright.

Heidi Heidi Heidi!!!

DBF When did this happen?? Did I miss something??
Do tell!!!

It will be fun. Hope all can make it!!

I posted on the community board about my housewarming gift idea for Stacey and Richard and got an answer. He said it was a traditional Italian housewarming gift. "Bread so may you never go hungry, wine so may you never go thirsty and salt to mend all wounds". I am so excited. I think I will buy the Moscato that we all loved on the cruise. I know she doesn't like wine but does like the moscato. Darn that dryer, it just buzzed. See ya.

Just a note to say hi and keep the board alive.

Trying to stick to South Beach this week (no wine, waaaaaahhhh), to get 2-3 # off.

Julie: Did Brooke get a little something from us recently???

Krista

Hi Krista! Great to hear from you! Please tell me about the South Beach diet. I hear good things about it but don't know what it is about.

Hey guys, what kind of salt should I buy? Morton's table salt seems so lame.

Sandy: How about some gourmet coarse sea salt?

Krista; Glad to hear from you!

Heidi: That sounds great about the 4-day weekends!

I got a lot of stuff done today. I have more to do. I really let the house go these last few months since I was feeling well. Jerry has helped, but I know where all the dirt is!

Just read the last couple days. I have been extremely busy...kept that way by Pam!! I can't stand it! Helped her re-paint her new living room and start stripes in the 2nd bedroom. I get phone calls every night or if I don't get together with her over the weekend sometimes 2-3 times. It is very tiring...she is very neurotic and everything has to be discussed for 30-45 minutes before she makes a decision. I can't stand it!! No time for myself!!! I feel bad complaining because she is a good person and would do anything for anybody...but just a total opposite from me with regards to personality. She may drive me to become neurotic!!

On a brighter note...I leave for Chicago in less than 2 weeks....yea! and of course Sadie Hawkins day is coming up!!!! Look out Glenn!!! You think I jest! Hmmm....I think I will set up a conference call with Dona on that day! LOL!

Either the allergies are really bad this morning or I am getting a cold! I hope not. Better get the zinc out just in case.

Working from home yesterday and today...doing annual appraisals...YUK!!! What do you say about people who's work stinks but they are really nice or people who have major mental problems but their work is good!!!! HELP!

Well that's it...did I make you happy Sandy???? I am just fine...not to worry. Poor Julie sent me an email last week then had to call because I didn't even get to reply!!

Calgon take me away!!!!

Mom - I think you can get colored coarse salt at Pier 1. I am not positive, hopefully Denine will know for sure. Does anyone have any ideas on what I should get for a housewarming gift?

Barb - I thought everyone knew about my DBF!!!! He stuck with me and helped me get through the break up of my ex boyfriend and we ended up together!!!! We actually met about 3 years ago, when I was at school and he worked for Coke and filled the machines at my college. We became friends about 2 years ago and started dating last summer.

Good Morning!

How exciting Heidi!! I had no idea. I am not sure where I was
when all this happened. I missed everything. But I am happy for you. Bring him with you to Fargo's!! What is the salt for?? I must have missed that too. I feel so out of touch.

Just got word yesterday Bob is getting activated. This time we have a few months to plan. Good news is it is after the cruise bad news it is right before the Holidays :(
I hope we can go down to Patty's for Christmas this year. We can have a family Christmas down there just no Bob :(

Barb:smooth:

:bounce: Thanks for checking in Bonnie. I was really getting worried. I understand how you feel about Pam. It is hard for you to know exactly what to say or do. Gee, you are in Chicago more than you are at your place! lol

Barb, the salt is for Stacey's housewarming gift. I am sorry about Bob being activated. At least you have the cruise before he leaves!!

Heidi, I will check for the salt tomorrow. That is if I have time after my important lunch date. And....if I don't have too many margaritas, too. Hmmmmmm, ideas for you for a housewarming gift for Stacey. Anyone have any ideas??

Sandy: I know the Williams Sonoma by us carries the salt. Probably a fancier grocery store too.

Heidi: How about some Yankee Candle candles? They all smell so good and really make a house feel "warm".

Barb: Sorry about Bob being activated. Make this cruise extra special!

Bonnie: Being on the phone constantly would drive me crazy

I am making beef stew in the crockpot for dinner. I am going to make cornbread to go with it. I also have a loaf of cracked wheat bread in the bread machine.

Nothing much going on here.

Hi guys, after I posted here I called up my thread on the community board and got an even better idea.

bread - that this house may never know hunger
salt - that life may always have flavor
and wine - that you may never know thirst

Supposedly of Germanic Origin:
Bread so you'll never go hungry
Salt so you'll have good luck
Wine so you'll never be thirsty.

*flowers so your house may always know beauty.
*Bread so your house may never know hunger.
*Salt so it may always have flavor.
*A candle so the house will never know darkness.
*And sugar so that life will always be sweet.

I love the bottom one! This is going to be fun. Get a nice basket and fill it. I thought that I would still add the wine. The bottom doesn't make mention of it but still like the idea. Now if we can get an idea for Heidi's gift!

I love it Sandy!!! What a terrific idea...I may do that for Pam's apartment. Although maybe I should include some bleach so her house may always be sanitary!!! I think that's what pushed her to get her own place instead of not moving in with me! LOL!

Appraisal's finished...I will not be a popular person next month...oh well! I am not in my position to win popularity contests. I just expect people to have the same work ethics as myself.

Barb: exactly what does the activation entail? Will Bob have to go over to the middle east? Will he be stationed nearby or in another state? Enlighten me please.

No call from Pam yet so maybe I am off the hook! ALthough it isn't 8PM yet so maybe she is too busy scrubbing to call...yet.

OK Sandy, how am I doing...twice in one day. Am I forgiven?

Bobby made it back safe & sound. He really is a good guy. He went to a 7 year old birthday party Sunday which included my ex-husband being there! This Friday we are going to a party that was planned by an old classmate. He rented a hall, hired a band, caterer & is having a martini & cosmo bar along with beer & wine. It is going to be sooooo much fun!:Pinkbounc :bounce: Then I think we are heading for Midlothian, Virginia, for the weekend  :lovestruc so don't expect to hear from me!

Work is done for the week. I worked Monday & Tuesday took Saturday off because of the party & got someone to work Sunday for me. I do not go back to work until next Thursday & then work three days in a row.

Poor Bonnie. No wonder you get out of town!

I love the housewarming gift ideas.

Hope you all have a terrific week. I will be checking in tomorrow. Toodles:wave2: :earsgirl: JEANNE
