Good morning

I was up at 4 because Dick's cellphone rang at 2 and I couldn't get back to sleep. It was -5 degrees then...now it is up to l3.

Nothing exciting going on, just trying to stay warm. My Schwan's man made it. He has the best pretzels.....they are the big ones and you warm them up in the microwave.....then I put cinnamon sugar on it...yummy

I got Haddock fish for sandwiches at lunch. I also go salmon for Dick...I am not crazy about salmon but I may try it.

Now, now Sally. Salmon is soooo good for you. Try it. Even if you don't like it, eat more of it. LOL What a story about Linda, you, Dick and the car. Good grief.

Barb, you sound like you are less stressed already. Good for you.

Heidi, tomorrow is ski day. Are you guys going?

Heidi, dad is off on Monday, too. We are thinking about a movie. Want to come with? Chris and Jerry just left. My, my.....Jerry gives great hugs!

Well I did it. I bought a pair of 130.00 sandals. LOVE THEM! There certainly is a HUGE difference between a DSW store shoe and this pair. It is the Aravon brand which I guess is New Balance.

Sandy: I hope you get a lot of wear out of those sandals!

Heidi: I love salmon, especially with a dill sauce. Yummy! Jerry isn't crazy about it though. He'll eat it if It is grilled and marinated.

Barb: I hope everything comes together for the wedding. It sounds like you have everything under control.

Sally: Loved the wedding story.

I ended up going into work this morning. I got called last night to see if I could come in. I usually can't, but Jerry was able to work from home. I work again tomorrow.

It was kind of somber at work today. There was a small plane that crashed into Lake Erie right after take-off last night. It turend out to be our activities director's BIL. She called me this morning to say she wasn't coming in and why. We got confrimation later that it was him. So sad.

Jerry's mom's bathroom is finished! It looks pretty good if I say so myself, considering I am the one that picked everything out. The paint color, the shower curtain, rod and hooks, the pictures on the wall and the decorative stuff on the back of t he toilet. She seemed quite happy. She was really happy when I was able to get the non-slip stickers off the bottom of the tub last weekend. They had been on for over 35 years.

Kaleigh is going to bed soon and I am going to sit and do nothing. My eyes have been burning this week. I think it may be my new face lotion. I am going to try something else tomorrow and see if it helps.

Jerry has off on Monday too. We usually go to Amish or the zoo. It will be tooooooo cold for the zoo. I don't know if it is going to be too nasty to drvie all the way to Amish or not or if we are just going to be too tired to go anywhere.

Wow Denine. Pat yourself on the back for a job well done at your MIL's. Way to go!! Sorry to hear about the death and the plane crash. That is so sad. Must have been weather related.

OH my, I thought I was bad checking in this late. Guess not.....it is the rest of you that are bad. LOL

Heidi, Jerry and Ted are up skiing. It is very cold but they are having a good time. I went shopping and bought me a new winter coat. I love the color. Brown and lime green. Typing the colors sounds kind of gross but I love it. It was a 200.00 coat that I got for 50.00.

Then I bought a few things at Bath and Bodyworks to take down with me to Mexico. I have been emailing back and forth making reservations with this great lady and just want to take her something nice. She is looked upon as a "Shirley" from Perfect Gift on this board. Looks like we are going to chance it and rent a car from her. We have done TONS of research. I am honestly feeling much better about renting.

I am back from skiing. It was a great day, but cold. I think Jerry had a great time, but boy will he be sore tomorrow. Now they are off to go pick up the girls.

Denine - glad your MIL is happy with your choices for the bathroom, sounds like you have really good taste. So sad about the plane crash.

We finally got the tree down and put away this evening.

It looks like we will make it to Brooke's party tomorrow. We pushed back the time for our other friends.

They have no idea what caused the plane to crash. It was not the weather though. At least they found the plane and he was inside. Lake Erie is not kind to it's victims.

I went to a book sale the the North Ridgeville library this afternoon. I got a bunch of books for $6. The Avon sale isn't until March. I love library book sales!

I have a ton of books to pick up at the library tomorrow for school and we have to do school.

Sandy: That is sweet of you to take stuff to that lady. Good luck with the car. Your right, typing the colors of the coat don't sound good, but I am sure it looks great in person. You got a great deal too!

Jerry's mom is decorating challenged. She needed all the help she could get.

Heidi: Glad you had fun skiing.

Don't know if I will make it on this weekend. It looks like we may go to Amish on Monday. It is just supposed to be cold now.

Stacey should be home now. I can't wait to see all of them. It seems like a million years but has only been a little over a couple of weeks. Hey Heidi, maybe we could call them on Monday and go visit.

We went to a housewarming today. It was for a girl that Stacey and Heidi use to go to school with. Her parents and us have remained good friends. It was nice to see their whole family as it has been awhile.

Good Morning!

Burr.... The fog was think today on the way into work. It was snowing like crazy at my house but as I got close to work...no snow! It is usually worse up north then at my house. We are suppose to get about an inch today. BLAH!

Stayed in most of the weekend cleaning the basement and organizing my craft room. I had to make room for a play area for Ethan in the basement. Tha was not easy. He has out grown the play area in the family room and because I am so anti clutter I had to make another play area.

We are having problems coordinating the wedding and the reception. I am getting really frustrated mostly because I am not the one who should be doing this but with Jaymee so far away that pretty much leaves me. Wish I was happier about this wedding. Bob and I drove to the Air Force Academy Friday to look at the Chapel since the one at Peterson AFB does not have any openings in June. The chapel is tiny and the AFA is about 25 miles from Peterson so it is really to far to drive from the wedding to the reception. I have no idea what we are going to do. We are having problems finding a minister to marry them since they will not be able to go through pre marital counseling. problems problems problems.

Barb - hugs to you. I am sorry you are frustrated. Things will work, that is what everyone told me and I didn't believe them, but now I do. LOTS OF Hugs.

Had a busy but fun weekend! Friday we got AnnaMarie and Makenzie had brownies. Saturday was Brooke's birthday party and Garry Jr. and Becky came. (my stepson Garry and his wife). The came up from Florida to visit her parents and family and to see us. They arrived late and we got to the party late becasue of it, but we still had a really nice time. The party was at my parents house since my dad can't get intoour house because of his wheelchair. Yesterday Makenzie had a soccer game and then we went to dinner with Garry and Becky. We had a very nice visit with them. I will try and post a picture of them, but I can't promise!

Today is a slow and jsut a lazy day for all. Tomorrow starts the grind again!

Good Morning!

How was the visit with Stacey and the babies? Was there a lot of snow in Monument? This was a strange snow. I work on the North end of town where usually gets a lot of snow. I work really close to where Stacey lives. I live about 20 miles south of where I work where there usually is not as much snow. This time we got so much snow at home and hardly any at work.

Going to make some calls today and try and find a place to have the wedding.

Julie-Sounds like a fun visit with Garry and Becky. Glad you got a day of rest before your busy busy week starts again.

Mom- I am going to call Hillside Nursery today to see about having the wedding there. Hope it is open but I really doubt it will be.

Denine- Did you make it down to Amish?
