October 19th Cruisers again and again... Part 3

Where is the sun today? It was to hit 50 and be sunny and then snow. Nope, didn't even get the sun. It is very chilly.

Barb, how about the place in Palmer Lake for the wedding? Favors are always so hard. I remember doing research on them for Stacey's wedding. When did favors come into play anyway. When we got married, it wasn't mandatory.

Denine, at least Kaleigh can see the bright side of snow and cold!!

Yep, I will be watching American Idol tonight. It does interfere with my Biggest Loser, however. Guess I will tivo on one tv and watch the other.

Oh, no. I will have to choose between the two. Hmm, wonder which one I will choose?

Ok Heidi, I am mad at you!! I was playing around ITunes Store and saw some American Idol singles I would love. Too bad you got me into all this!!

Didn't get a lot done today.....went to Walmart in the morning, did:laundy: and fixed dinner. Funny thing about housework, it waits on you!

I will watch American Idol but it isn't so good at first....my Schwan's man comes tomorrow. I feel sorry for him because he has to run around his truck in all the different doors to fill my order and I have my grandaughters too so he is going to freeze.

And brings lots of friends with it!:lmao:

Had a scary drive into work today. The snow is really blowing and starting to build up on the roads.

Good morning. I think we have already hit our high today, 15 degrees. Not much snow yet but they are saying 1-3 inches.

I think Chris and I have picked our DJ. One more big thing left and that is flowers.

Barb - glad you made it in to work safely with your scary drive. It is windy here but not much snow so the roads were only a little bit slick on my drive in.

So I ended up watching American Idol because Chris watched it with me and I taped Biggest Loser. I made 3 dinners last night so I have dinner ready for tonight and Thursday since Chris's brother is coming in today and my back was killing me. I was up cooking from 5:00 to 7:00 preparing everything, but now I am happy I did it because I don't have to worry about cooking and know I can take the stuff out of the fridge and heat it in the oven. By 7:00 I just wanted to sit on the couch and rest, if I wanted to watch Biggest Loser, I would have had to watch upstairs in bed.

Jaymee just told me that both Louis parents are coming in February. I have no idea why this made me nervous but it did. What if they don't like me?

Still snowing here and SOOOO COLD.

Heidi & Sandy- Do you know where either Amanda's Bridal or Bridal Connection is? They carry the wedding dress Jaymee wants I am trying to figure out which one is closer to me.

I have but one word to say UGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had just put dinner in the crockpot so it could cook for 10 hours and the power goes off. It stayed off for over 2-1/2 hours. At least it came back, but now I have to put the crockpot on high so I can eat dinner at a decent hour.

Kaleigh got cat puke on her blanket somewhere this morning, I went to throw it in the wash and no power. It is in the wash now.

We never lose power in a storm, it is always for no apparent reason.

It is supposed to get super cold this weekend. Supposed to be a HIGH of 7 on Sunday.

I did get all the ornaments off the tree yesterday with "help" I would have had an easier job without the help. Now just need to get the lights off and take the tree apart and then put up Valentine's decorations. When did time start to run together?

My theme this year is to get organized. But, I can't start until all the Christmas stuff is back under the steps in the basement.

I would love to get married again just so I could go wedding dress shopping! :rotfl: I guess I need to renew my vows in WDW!

My Disney shopping order came yesterday. The M&M Christmas statues are soooo cute, and heavy. I got both of them for less than 1 cost originally.

Jerry said that after the meeting yesterday no one wanted to get up to leave. Then someone said jokingly that the 1st 5 people out the door will lose their jobs. They are all talking about getting jobs at Target and Walmart. Very high expectations of the job market. Morale really stinks right now. We are still hopeful at this point though. We have been through layoff scares before, but not this bad.

Julie: What time is the party on Sunday?

Barb: How could Louis' parents not like you?

Wedding favors: I made little potpourri sachets for my wedding.

Ethan is here and we have been watching Thomas the Train.....

I got all my North Pole Village put away before he came...now to take the tree down and that is the last of Christmas this year.

It is really cold....ll and it is suppose to make it up to l4...glad I am staying in.

Oh, my poor Schwan's man is going to be frozen....maybe he won't be delivering today.

Don't imagine I will get much done today but watch movies or tv....Ethan is such a sweet little boy.... I love the way he says momo (that is what all the grandkids call me because my first grandson did and it stuck)

Barb - They will like you, you are so easy to get a long with and have a great outlook on life.

I went and looked at Amanda's bridal so I know exactly where that is. It is off of I-70 and Wadsworth. It is about 20 minutes North of where we live (to me it is far away, but I hate to drive....I even hate driving to Park Meadows because it is too far away!!!) All you would do is take I-25 straight up, get off at I-70 and head West. Get off at Wadsworth and head North like Half a Block, turn right at the first light you can and then take another right into the parking light. It is right next to a Sports Authority. I never went or heard of Bridal Connection but I googled it and if it is the one that came up, that one is in Longmont so that would be a lot further North for you then Amanda's Bridal. Amanda's Bridal has a website, if you need it let me know.

Sally - Momo is so cute, how sweet.

Denine - I can't believe your power went out, that stinks.

Hi guys!

Barb, relax. Louis's parents will love you guys. Wedding favors....I have seen where the bride and groom pass out CD's of their favorite music to thier guests. It's pretty inexpensive. Get a bulk pack of CD's that you can burn the music on from your computer. You can also make the CD case cover from you computer too. Just get clear cases and place the paper cover you made into them. I've seen different sized glasses from shot glasses to fluted wine glasses filled with m&m's (every other place setting is ok too). There is also bells with ribbon that the guest use instead of clanging on glasses.

Denine. The birthday party plans changed. We are now having it on Saturday at 3:30pm. Makenzie had a soccer game sheduled at 2pm on sunday and with the championship football games on sunday, we decided saturday would be better.

Heidi, that's great that all you have to get is the flowers. You are doing great!!! We watched American Idol too. It doesn't get real good until they get to the Hollywood segments, I think.

Sandy, are you getting your things ready for your trip? We will be with you in spirit.

Sally, love the momo name!!1

Well, gonna go. I'll be back later!

Yay, Julie posted again!!! It is great again that Sally and Julie are posting more.

:cool1:  :cheer2: WooHoo! I second that!:thumbsup2

Denine, that really stinks about dinner. We usually do pretty good with power because ours is underground. Every once in a great while it might go out for a couple of minutes but that's it. I understand that kind of help ;) you got taking down the ornaments.

Julie,

Barb, I will chime in with the rest of them. What's NOT to like about you? RELAX!!! You will be fine. By the way, you sound exactly like me!! If it were me I would be thinking the same thing. Too bad we are like that!

Sally, I think your Schwanns man would rather have your business and freeze outside than not have you!! I never realized that you watch Ethan once in a while. How lucky he is to have you and you, him! I remember my great grandparents.

Stacey is doing really good on vacation. Sounds like the kids are loving the ocean. Today is San Diego zoo.

I am out looking for sandals when it is 16 degrees out. Of course, it is not the season and I am not having any luck. I could buy a pair for 139.00 and they would be good for my feet but the  price. Yikes! I pretty much would only wear them for cruising and AI resorts. I hate making decisions!

By the way, I already know who I want to win American Idol. Yep, I said it. I already have a favorite. The poor girl with the sick daughter has my sympathy vote. My heart breaks for her! Thank goodness she has a loving family.

Just called about Jaymee trying on her dress and found out it takes 3 to 4 months to get it in.

I am feeling so overwhelmed by this wedding already. I wish she was here to help. It is so hard trying to make arrangements and plan without her.

Oh wow, Barb. I can understand your frustration. Can she try the dress on at a bridal shop where she is stationed and then you can have Amanda's shop order the correct size. I know that you can do that with tuxes. Maybe you should stop in a David's Bridal or any shop and get some of the magazines that they have to help you. A lot of them list the different wedding chapels etc. Make it simple and order a King Soopers cake. Stacey did and was totally happy with it. Have her look at invitations online and choose that way. I know that there are "circles" out there as far as photographers, cake decorators, ministers etc. If you find one, perhaps they can recommend the others. Accidentally, Heidi has entered into one of those "circles". Many times the location dictates the caterer. Hmmmm, I will keep thinking.

Jerry is outside playing with Kaleigh in the snow. I saw him pulling her on her sled.

Dinner turned out OK. I think it would have been better though if I had been able to cook it on low.

Sandy: Our power is underground too. I have no idea why it went out.

Barb: Jaymee may have to pick a different dress. I can't imagine how difficult it would be to plan a wedding without the bride.

Julie: I don't know if we can make the party on Saturday. We are supposed to go to Andy's. We have already had the date cancelled twice, once by them and once by us. We may just have to stop by on Sunday to give Brooke her present and drop off your Christmas present and booze. I'll talk to Jerry.

I had my staff meeting at work today. We started a whole new slate of yearly education. We have to have 8 hours of in-house training. I now have 30 minutes. I have a nurses meeting on the 30th. I think I 'll have Jerry work from home for that one.

It is just amazing how much one small child can talk. Kaleigh talks non-stop, but never really "says" anything. She gave the pre-meeting show. SHe was dancing and did a somersault. Nope, nothing shy about her.

The San Diego Zoo sounds like fun.

I'll be back tomorrow.

Talking about the wedding dress reminded me of when Linda got married. She lived in San Saba, Texas and she saw the dress she wanted in a magazine. San Saba is a very small town of about 2800 and no stores to speak of. She saw where I could buy it here in the Springs. Only problem was I was in the hospital and had had a kidney stone operation. I got out on a Wed I think it was so my girlfriend and I went shopping the next day and found the dress, she tried it on and it fit her and she was the same size as Linda. I mailed it right away so if it didn't fit she could send it back for another size as we were going to visit my son that was in the Air Force. It fit perfectly.

We drove to Rick's and while there we drove to Mount St Helen to see the damage from the eruption. We drove back a logging trail and broke something on the car. Dick had to stay there while I flew home alone because Linda was getting married in a week and I had the flower girl dresses and shoes which I found while we were there. I couldn't believe I needed 3 dresses and that is exactly what I found in the right sizes.

They got the car fixed in time for Dick to drive home. He arrived at night and we left the next morning for San Saba. The ladies in Linda's church fixed the dinner for the reception and the wedding was beautiful. You just know God had His hand on everything the way it came together.

Good Morning!

I called Jaymee yesterday and we made a list of everything she will do and everything I am doing. We assigned some of the other jobs out to other family members so I am feeling better about it.

She is going to try on the dress in SC and hopefully it will fit with no alterations.

Think I am going to make the invitations it I can find a way to make them look elegant and not cutesy.

I am planning out our schedule while Jaymee is here since time is so short and we have a lot to do.

Barb - I couldn't even image how frustrating it is for you to plan a wedding that is not yours!! I was so stressed planning for a while, but now everything is coming together so I love it and am excited once again!! Hang in there.

Denine - We only got a dusting of snow and Chris's brother has never been sledding so we are hoping to go sledding on Saturday if there is enough snow.
