October 19th Cruisers again and again... Part 3

I have a question.....

There is a time frame that you can find airline tickets at a better price. If you price to far out the prices are high and also if you wait to long. Does anyone know that time frame? I am hoping I am still to far out for the lower prices.

Going to finishi up putting my Christmas stuff away so hope everyone has a wonderful day!!!

Sally - for the purple stain, try Lift Off. You can get it at home Depot. I swear by that stuff. It got sharpie marker off my couch.

Barb - yikes, that is so expensive for airfare. I book at $220 or lower otherwise I wait it out. For Southwest Airlines I book when they release the date for what I need so it may be 3 months out for them. Usually if you book earlier it is cheaper. They say either Tuesday or Wednesday (can't remember which one) at midnight is the best time to book because that is when all the computer systems are updating reservations.

Denine - pixie dust. I hope that is a good move for Jerry and he will be happy and safe.

Sorry Sally about the Formby's. Not sure where to steer you next.

Barb, Officer's Club sounds terrific! Sounds like you are planning a perfect wedding. I just saw Frontier had 99 tickets to Orlando. I believe it was two weeks ago. Check them on Wednesday mornings first thing. You might be able to snag a good deal.

Denine, sure hope Jerry's transfer keeps him at work. More pixie dust your way!

Good Morning!

Thanks for the tips Sandy I will keep checking. Back to work again. I have only worked 2 days out of the past 3 weeks. I am feeling much better. Been on Penicillian for the past week. My throat is still swollen but the stabbing pain is mostly gone.

Denine & Julie- Just read today that Progressive signed an agreement with the Cleveland Indians to rename the field "Progressive Field" You will see our name all over your field now and can think of me!:rotfl:

Yesterday was Tiffany's 20th birthday. I can not believe my baby is 20!!

Happy Birthday to Tiffany!!!

I had a good weekend this weekend, I hope everyone did too. When I got home on Friday I had a message from the place we bought my dress that my dress was in and I had 7 days to go try it on for inspection. The dress came in about 2 months early!!!! So on Sunday we went and I tried it on. A few loose beads and 1 missing bead, so it faired well in shipping. It fits perfect around the waiste and the hips. The only alterations I will need is in the bust area and possibly length depending on what shoes I wear. I still LOVE my dress. We also finalized my cake on Saturday and my parents were so nice and suprised us and bought us the cake. I was so suprised and cried!!! Chris had tears in his eyes too and said he was fighting back the tears...I think he is still in shock! Thanks Mom and Dad, LYMI.

Just popping in to say hi! Gotta go take the kids to school. I'll be back on later!

Heidi, that's great about your dress!!! How exciting! Did they tell you how to store your dress before the wedding? Just remember that sunlight is a no no! Hang your dress (perfered) in a room with no access to sunlight, pets etc. Place a clean white sheet on the floor and hang your dress OUT of the plastic bag. You can either place a white sheet over the hanging dress or in a cloth bag UNZIPPED.

That was soooooo sweet for your parents to buy your cake!

Sandy  you are so sweet!

Hi Sally and Denine!

TTFN

Be back later!

Good morning to all

Had a quite weekend.....nothing exciting. Watched Amazing Race and was glad to see the blonde go....she must be fun to live with.:sad2:

Heidi, sounds like things are moving along nicely for you. Your wedding will be here before you know it.

Tiffany is our youngest grandchild and our oldest is 37....where does time go?

Hi to you to Julie.....

OH MY GOSH I FORGOT AMAZING RACE!

Sure hope it recorded. Bob and I started watching last years "24" so we can be all caught up when the new season starts.

Heidi-YAY about the dress!! And the cake.

Sally, I was soooooo happy that the blonde lost last night. She is a horrible person. She is definitely a "me" girl. He isn't so bad so I felt horrible hoping they would lose. I screamed out in delight.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, TIFFANY!!

Off and running. Have to go weigh in. I also have to pick up a sundress that I am having altered. Got it at Kohl's for 10 and having the straps shortened for 12. Good deal on the dress. The lady laughed when she said the alterations would cost more than the dress. I am getting tired of my same old skirts and tops that I take on vacation. This time it is all sundresses.......room to grow in.

Heidi: That is exciting about your dress.

Sandy: Very sweet of you to buy the cake.

Barb: Glad you are feeling better. Exciting about the wedding reception.

Dinner out on Saturday was good. After dinner we went to Kohl's to buy stuff for Jerry's mom's bathroom. Then we went to se Sweeny Todd. It was quite interesting. A lot of Captain Jack in Mr. T. Yesterday we went to church and then spent the rest of the day at Jerry's mom's working on her bathroom. We just need to put up the shower rod and curtain.

Today is a quite day. We had school and I ordered a bunch of books from the library for upcoming lessons. I don't plan on doing anything else.

It is cold and snowing a light snow today.

Happy Birthday Tiffany!

Sandy: Don't you leave in a week for Mexico?

Barb: It is always so hard to find airfare. NEVER look for airfare on a weekend.

Julie: What time is Brooke's party on Sunday? The P chef party is at 2 PM.

Julie - The bridal shop is storing my dress for me until the wedding, so I am lucky and don't have to deal with it!!!!

Denine - I was wondering how that movie was, looked a little scary and weird.

Sally - yes, I was so glad she was gone. Chris kept yelling at the TV that she needed to be gone.

Barb - Do you have that series on DVD?

Oh my gosh ... I forgot to say hi to Barb!!! I'm so sorry. Happy birthday to Tiffiany!!! Garry and I both were happy with who left last night too! I like the grandson and grandfather team. Survivor looks good when it starts back up. Garry and I also like Jericho which starts up at the end of the month. Also, in Feb Big Brother too! Gotta love those shows!!!

Heidi, that is great that the shop will store your dress for you until the wedding. We didn't have the space to store all the wedding dresses.

Barb, yep, Progressive Field is where the Indians are playing now. It wasn't such a "great" reception about them paying 3.6 million dollars a YEAR to name the stadium. This after they let go over 300 people this past fall right around here. I liked the name before, but as long as they win, I don't care what they call it. BUT I will think of you each time I go to a game and see the name! I should say that I'm going down to see BARB! LOL!!!!

Sandy, I would love to fit into your suitcase and go to Mexico with you!!!! Take lots of pictures!!!

Well, gonna go! I'll be back later!

TTFN

Julie-Since Progressive is restructuring AGAIN that is the reason people were let go not because the company isn't doing well. It was pretty scary and very upsetting during that time. We had no idea who was going. We are merging with Progressive Direct again. We I first started 10 years ago Saturday!!! We serviced both Direct and agent policies then we split and now we are merging again. CONFUSING!

BUT I will think of you each time I go to a game and see the name! I should say that I'm going down to see BARB! LOL!!!!:rotfl:
I LOVE IT!

Heidi- Jason has all the seasons for "24" We borrowed his. The most recent season just came out on Video in December Jason got it for Christmas. Didn't want to take it from him that soon. Missy works at Hollywood video so we get to rent for free.

I really wanted to buy "24" for Jason for Christmas, watch it first then wrap it up. :lmao:

Denine, I can't believe what a good memory you have. Yes, we leave Wed., Jan 30th and come back Wed Feb 6th.

Julie, Survivor was sounding good to me until I saw the commercial that (oh no, brain fart, I can't remember his name, I had it when I started typing LOL) the guy is back that said his grandmother passed away. I can't stand his attitude. Can't stand him. Just like on Celebrity Apprentice and Omarosa. She is NOT a celebrity but thinks she is. Maybe next year you can go to Mexico with us. If I can get enough rooms I am thinking about the beginning of Nov or Dec. The Dudettes MAY be going, too.

Ted has City Council tonight. Looks like it will be a late night for him. I will probably do laundry and hang at the computer.

Hugs to all.

Good Morning

Suppose to get snow tonight, BURRRRR Hope the roads do not get bad. The news said today a trace to 3 inches. I think they pretty much covered their b*tts with that forecast. :lmao:

Started making some snowman christmas afghans for gifts next year. Have a goal this year to get all my Christmas shopping done by October.

Chris's brother is flying in tomorrow, of course our high will be 17 and snowing...lucky him!!

It's cold and snowing here too. Kaleigh was all excited becasue she will be able to use her sled.

Jerry has a late meeting today, about all the restructuring, so we are going to Bennigan's for dinner on gift cards. I am going to cut up veggies for tomorrows dinner since it is going in the crock pot in the morning. I have a 3 PM meeting tomorrow. I am actually going to start taking down the tree this afternoon. There was just no time this weekend.

That is all from here.

Hi Denine!

Last year I did not get all my Christmas stuff down until February! This year I mananaged to get it all down and it is only January. YAY!

Bob has decided to clean out under the house so it is all still crated up in my basement. I may as well left it up until February!:rotfl:

I am looking at wedding stuff trying to come up with ideas for the favors. We still have not pinned down where the wedding is going to be. Thought we had it worked out but hit another glitch.

It is suppose to be in the 50ies today. It is overcast right now and the left over snow is still not showing any signs of melting.
