Thanks friends for your replies re me not seeing my own posts.
IDK why I cannot see them, maybe too many trips on the Tower of Terror for me

The FE group I volunteered to organize is up to 6 of 1516 cabins. I polled the people at the Disney Dream October 19th-23rd A Haunted Sailing fb page and everyone arrived to cute off of 15-16 staterooms. We already have a 2nd person willing to lead an FE Group 2 if we pass the 15-16 mark.

Turns out my thread display was set to hybrid mode vs linear. Did not even know these options were available or how I ended up in hybrid mode in the first place, but am all good now.

Hi Minniemoomoo,
Not sure if you will see as much activity here as what is going on at the 'Closed Group' (meaning public cannot see it) Facebook 'Meet and Greet' pages. FB seems to be the dominate trend now. It is just so much easier to organize everything... from meet and greets, to FE's to 'where are you from lists'.

I started the (first) FE group. We took a pole and stopping at 15-16 cabins was the final verdict. If more want to participate, someone has already stepped up to start a 2nd group. Right now group one is up to 12 staterooms. If you would like me to add you, I will be happy to. This is what we need:

Please provide:

Stateroom(s) -
full name(s)
occupants in each state room
ages of kids
is alcohol (for adults) is ok.
If applicable add: allergies
Optional add: celebrations, special notes, favorite characters

It is a no rules FE group. Meaning you can give per-person, or per cabin. There is no dollar min or max.

Please, since the FB page is where all the other people on the FE list are visiting, getting to know each other and sharing ideas and tips, will you do me a big favor and remind me to supply you a copy of the list once it is done? You may need to send me a p.m. to help make sure I see it

You, my friend, made the FE Group One complete
We made it 15/16 in case the last person signing up had 2 staterooms, but you added #15 so we are stopping there for group one.
This is what you look like on the list, please confirm if it is accurate:

I was wondering about a few topics!! Maybe someone can chime in for me but:
1. Would anyone be interested in a private mixology class on board?
2. Would any of you like to have a meet and greet? How do those go about? Maybe a breakfast at Cabanas one day?

So far about 10 people are in for the private mixology and about 5 for the breakfast thing

Would you like me to add you as interested in either of these, right now it is just feedback thing, Not an official list.

One more thing I am planning, but have not started working on the details yet, is a quick little meet and greet for the Sail-Away. It involves waving the "Disney Cruising" FB Banner as we sail away for everyone watching on the Port C LIVE Web Cam to see. Family, friends, and us DCL junkies who love to watch the Disney ships watch them sail out of the port on the live web cam. The web cam zooms in on the banner and the people around it. If you have never watched the Port C's live web cam, you can even hear the Disney ships blast the magical horns

I wouldn't want to commit to a M&G or to the mixology class. Even though they both sound fun. We will be traveling with my parents. Only our stateroom participates with the FE, yet we won't be traveling alone. I appreciate the invite. Thank you for keeping me up to date on the news.

OK, big deep breath, we are booked for our first family cruise, it will be myself, my husband and our 9 year old daughter. I am crazy overwhelmed. We are doing a WDW vacation first, then our cruise. I have put in a request to join the FB page, just awaiting approval.
There is just SO MUCH! So much info, and it's all so overwhelming. We love WDW, so it seemed like a great idea to tack a cruise onto our fall break. Now I'm getting so overwhelmed I'm not so sure. I have a friend that said we should sign up for the fish extenders, but I guess it's full now? That's what I get for waiting!

There are people on the cruise who do not do F.B. and we are feeling left out of meet and greet and FE etc..and I am sure I am not the only one..
Can someone please put all invitations on disboards also...and a sign up sheet?

Agreed "Happy at Disney"!!! I'm not, nor will I ever be, a facebook'er. Just not interested... This is my first cruise and I was excited to learn about the FE's and was looking forward to participating. It seems like people are "meeting" here and moving the party (so to speak) over to FB. I thought this was the DISboards not the FACEboards. Seems like if you're not a "booker" you're left out....
Let me know if there's an fe list for people who are to remain in the disboard threads.. I'd love to join and surely I'm not the only one who feels this way.

Thanks for the info Minniemoomoo, but correct me if I'm wrong...didn't they already fill fe groups ON FB? So, how do they include disboarders to an fe list that's full of fbers? Not sure of how that would work..

Nothing against face book, or people who are part of that,,but I thought disboards was to bring disney loving, people together for disney cruises and trips etc. To me all FE should be offered on disboards and if someone who is a face booker wants to put the list on fb also, that is ok,,not the other way around..that leaves alot of people out and defeats the purpose of disboards..this is just my thoughts..

Perhaps you could start a FE group for the DIS board page? There are 2 groups for this cruise - the one here and a FB group. Some prefer to be part of only one or the other, some both. Some have only joined the FB group and not here. The FB groups has one full FE and a second one just started. I don't see why you couldn't start one for this Dis group. I think it would be quite a lot of work for someone to keep a list in two places, even though one member of both the groups offered to do that. Maybe the best solution is to start a FE for the Dis board members and then people can choose which they want to join depending on which group they frequent more? I'm sure there will be enough for several FE groups as we get closer to the date of the cruise.
