October 15, 2005 anyone?

Welcome to all newbies. Not had much time to read posts recently. Since I last posted I have broken my front tooth and received an appointment for a colonoscopy  :scared1: (Tomorrow Wednesday 30th) so I am in for a few fun weeks.
Spring has arrived in the UK so can go out without big coats again :sunny: .
200 days to go, so nearly half way from when we booked it last Oct.

Since I last posted I have broken my front tooth...

I'm telling you guys, there is something weird going on with this cruise and people's teeth. As a charter member of the Molar Express I'd like to extend my sympathy...hopefully your dental work will be quick and relatively painless.

Welcome Tubaman and VA mouseman! :wave2:

Glad to have you join our group. :grouphug:
As you can see/read a couple of us (not to mention any names or anything).
Must have really, really ticked off the "Tooth Fairy." :teeth: :rotfl2:

Sorry to hear about the front tooth, Wayneg amongst other things. :) I hope all is well with you in the next couple weeks.

I hope everyone had a lovely weekend and good Easter. It's beautiful here in Minnesota. 60 degrees and sunny. Enough to put a smile on my face. :sunny:

We are from Northern VA too. Centreville, to be exact!
Just down the road from you. East of Vienna, South of Tysons Corner.

Welcome new members!! :flower: I do miss our old countdown timers.. :sad2: We had a cold :cold: wet Easter, but temps are in the 70's today and the sun is shining... :sunny: My Aunt just booked the Marinier of the Seas that leaves on 10-16-05. They will be coming down on the 15th and eating at grills and so she will be watching us sail a way on the MAGIC! :boat: Then our ship will be in port with them on our St.Thomas day! That will be fun!! We can wave to each other from our ships. :wave2:

My Bestfriend ending up cancelling her cruise with us on the MAGIC!! :confused3 She is going to regret it!!!!! Oh well.....I will just have to tell her what she missed!

Sorry for everyone's teeth problems!! I don't want any!!! Had enough problems with DD's in the past.... :sad2:

Take care!

Well I guess we are joining the Molar Express!!! DD is in her second year of Dentistry School and DH and I had our free exams last week. I broke one of my molars and DH lost a filling. We'll be visiting the dentist next week. I'm petrified of the dentist so I'll live with my broken molar. I'd rather give birth to another 10 pound baby than go to the dentist. :goodvibes Just my luck that I have a daughter who is going to be a dentist!!! :flower: DH has to get his filling replaced because it's an old filling (mercury) and it's too dangerous to leave it as is. He'll have to have it replace with resin.

Wish us luck!!!

Chuck and Nancy :wave2:

Ooops... almost forgot. Since I missed the Disney Cruise special on the travel channel last week, I thought I'd remind all of you that it will be replayed on 4/8, 4/10 and 4/11. I have my vcr set this time. :cool1:

OH NOOOOOOOO! We were almost on the "3RD" page. :sad2:
I had to save us! :)

Anyway, how is everyone? How's everyone's teeth treating them? :teeth:
We have been pretty busy. Spring break, digging all the summer clothes out and getting ready to pack away the winter clothes.

I've been reading a lot about the Banana Boats on CC. We were going to rent bikes, but now I think we are leaning more toward the Banana Boat rides.
They seem like a lot of fun.

Well, I found a kindred "spirit" at church. Their family are going on the DCL in 2006. This will be their first time so I gave her a couple tips. I refered her here, to the DIS board.

Well, have a super week, everyone!!! :)

I am still here....I was just thinking that our thread needed a bump! :cool1:

I have been packing away winter and getting out Summer stuff too. :sunny: I am so glad. I even planted some flowers in my window boxes this weekend.

DD and I went to the Disney store over the weekend and I got her the cutest Princess dress and matching hat for our cruise. 33% off and so I got the whole outfit for under $20. :goodvibes They also have a cute swimsuit to match the hat,but those are not on sale yet.

After next week we will be under 6 months!

I was looking into excursions to St.John again. I am thinking of doing the beach day and island tour. Atleast we would get an hour and a half at the beach and if we did the 5 Star snorkel trip we only get 1 hour. I just want to see some of the Island and have little beach time at Trunk Bay :sunny: I also want to be able to relax and not worry about making it back to the ship on time. So that is why I want to try a DCL excursion this trip. :teeth:

Good to hear from you..Let's keep it going........ :rotfl:

Flowers! I am soooo jealous! My DH spent this last weekend pulling stuff out of the garage. Grill, chairs, swings for swingset, etc... I can't wait to start planting my garden (flowers, veggies, herbs). Here in Minnesota though, 1 week it might be 70 and sunny. :sunny: The next week 30 degrees and threat of a snow storm. :cold: It's happened! Even in April. :)

Your DD's outfit sounds cute. Good deal, too. My dd, almost 8 1/2 still likes princesses, but her favorite is Lizzue Mcguire. Last fall I got a few good deals at the Disney Store on Lizzie tennis shoes, PJ"S, Purse and jeans.
Disney can have really good sales. Maybe in a couple/few months the swimming suit will go on sale, too. Just in time for the cruise. You can never have enough swimming suits. Especially when on the cruise you practically live in one.

I'm with you on the DCL excursions. Last time we did things on our own, but this time we are going to do things thru Disney. The hard part is choosing which excursion. My DH is leaving the choice up to me except I keep changing my mind. :confused3 I guess that's my perogative, huh? :)

Well, the kid's are calling I better go... :earsgirl:

hey gals...
Sunday we had 3 or 4 inches of snow... it was all gone by noon yesterday.... I figure to get the grill and patio stuff out by July.... :cool1:

just a random OT question: Why do people in California think they get escape low/high speed chases? sitting here watching one now on CNN.

funny story.... DW went to Dr yesterday... he's been on DCL before... he suggests we bring back a DCL "souvenir".... he he what a guy...

Toodles,
Paul

I met a couple on our first DCL (2002) cruise that brought back one of those! :goodvibes
We still e-mail all the time and are planning to cruise again with them on a 4 day Wonder cruise in October 2006.....The Souvenir is coming with them!

Glad we are done with snow in St.Louis!! We never really got much this Winter and that is fine with me!!! :rolleyes1

Bye :wave2:

I'll prolly get in trouble for mentioning it... hope she doesn't see I said that... :confused3 :rotfl2:

BTW: the car chase is now over.... guy walk onto the porch of a bar and they tackled him.

we saw The Pacifier last night... great movie!!! classic Disney type movie.... in the last month, that and Winn Dixie have both won us over....

Paul

We are still around!

My parents were visiting from North Carolina last week so we were crazy busy with them. They moved to Hendersonville, NC (near Ashville) two years ago to retire (although they are also raising my 10 year old niece). Now, when they come up here, my Mom wants to visit every mall and department store in the Washington DC Metropolitan area! I love to shop but there is such a thing as TOO much! :)

The good news, of course, is that I got some really cute outfits for Katie for the cruise! There are two other couples going with us, and they have daughters that will be three as well, so we got them all matching sailor dresses for dinner one night!

ROFL!!!! I lovethe Katie in Mommy/Daddy clothes!!! that is too funny!!!! did you hit Potomac Mills? that place is pretty big! last time we went, Mollie's grandma made it through JCPenney and was done! argh...

Always have been drawn to living somewhere in the Winchester, VA area.... all Mollie's family lives in Cumberland, MD.... I get so sick of them calling and saying how mild it is when we are having snow... ;)

BJ98 - I did actually get the grill fired up last night.... used some wood pellets for flavor and grilled some chicken breasts with a nice southwestern wet rub... mmmmmm

have a good day!
Paul

Spring was here! :flower:

But now it is gone....the past few days have been great with high temps in the 80's but today it is raining with a high of 55 :cold: (all y'all up north - no laughing!) So I am waiting a little while longer to put up those winter clothes!

BTY the best things I ever bought were those bags that you can stuff with clothes and then your vacuum sucks all the air out....Instead of taking up the whole closet shelf their winter stuff takes up about 1/4 of the shelf...cool, huh?

We are staying busy here...I desperately need one of those sailaway party drinks...Bon Voyage. We found out yesterday that our youngest son, he just turned 3, has kidney failure in one kidney and has to have major surgery this month...he should be well enough in October to go cruisin! When it rains it pours, I guess....

:smooth: Send the sunshine and warm weather soon please! :sunny:

:guilty: Sorry to hear about your son. We will send prayers your way.
I hope everything goes well....

We are all doing ok here in Missouri...Still pretty nice weather. I just wonder if what you guys have in Ok is heading our way. We do need some rain.

I also wanted to let everyone know that I saw something pretty handy in the new AVON book that would be great for our cruise.

It is in Campaign #9 2005/on the inside of the last page
"LEOPARD PRINT TOILETRY BAG" It holds full size toiletries and has places for cosemtics that snap off and it has metal hanging hooks. So you can unfold it and hang it on the back of the bathroom door hook. Looks like it would be very convenient. I may get one. I will try to find it on the AVON website and put the link on our YAHOO group. ;)

Ok, I better get back to work!

Take care..... :p

txaggie94gigem, I too, am so sorry to hear about your little one. We will definetly keep him and your family in our thoughts and prayers. :grouphug:

About that lovely "OK" weather y'all are experiencing down south...
Well, the only thing I can think to say is..."Welcome to my world." :rotfl2:

Paul, Your barbecue dinner sounded yummy. How come we weren't invited? :)

txaggie94gigem - want to offer prayers and thoughts for your Son - blessings. Please keep us posted. Looking forward in seeing *ALL* our little ones...enjoy time with Mickey on the Magic.

Well...wish I could pass some of our spring (all 3 days of it) to those still experiencing the cold. Know when you'll get to experience spring weather...we will be in 'full blown summer' - AUGH!!!! It's aweful living 5 minutes from the sun.

While we are talking weather...plan on taking some high SPF sun screen for CC. Granted - of our 3 DCL cruises...we've only made the island 1x...but...CC has the most intense sun I've ever felt. And - with 35+ years in Arizona...I am a pretty good judge of sun shine/burn. There were some 'hurtin campers' when we got off the ship. I saw a teen....sooooo red....his skin was the color of a lobster.

take good care of you and yours..........

HI Everyone! :wave2:

~It's such a gorgeous day here in Minnesota that I wanted to spread the
"happiness/sunniness." :sunny: :flower2: :flower1: :daisy:

So, Everyone. Have a beautiful, wonderful weekend and many dreams of Disney! :boat: :cloud9: :)

~Bye
