October 13th, 2007~"Cruise-A-Palooza"

Snicksed I've read your post about Hotwire I might go for this. How about you?

Right now, I have a regular reservation at the Hyatt just in case it sells out or nothing shows up on Hotwire. I can cancel up to 24 hours before arrival.

I will keep a sharp eye on Hotwire. If I see anything pop up, I will post it here. :thumbsup2

SNicksed, thanks I'll post what i find if you don't beat me to it.

Happy Valentine's Day

Hi. I'm cruising "solo". It will just be me and DS17. I doubt I'll see much of him, and regardless he can't go to Palos. I'd love to get group of ladies together for a brunch.

Anyone in? My first choice would be about 10:30 on a sea day.

A ladies only brunch sounds great except that I don't know which days are sea days. Do you? I have DH, DD17 and DD 10 at time of sailing.
I wonder how hard it is to get a group brunch set up? I understand Castaway Cay members get first dibs on reservations. I am not a CC member.

I figure that closer to the sail date we can get current (at that time) Navigators - I wouldn't want to book brunch on top of that one other activity I was really interested in. Sea days will be Sunday, Monday, and Thursday.

This will be my second cruise, so I can make ressies a little early. We did something similar to this in WDW. One lady organized (that would be me this time around) and everyone interested PM'd her, and she made the ressies.

I'd love to meet of few of my fellow cruisers over brunch. I can't stand the thought of not enjoying Palos on a cruise, but I don't think it'd be too much fun alone. DS would love it, but I understand they are really strict on the "no one under 18."

I'm sure my travel gal pals will be interested in doing the brunch. I've done it before with a group in another life and it was an amazing spread.

Not sure how many of us there will be yet...we're all still working out the details. So I'll let you know for sure as things get closer.

Thanks for organizing the brunch.

BIGBEN - Congrats!!!!

Did everyone see the annnoucement of the two new ships Disney will be building? It was officially announced yesterday that there will be two new ships (bigger than the current two). Its likely that initially the Magic and Wonder my go to the West Coast as the new ships may not fit through the Panama Canal until it is widened. Cool stuff! As for the present, we're o' so close to 6 months on the counter - starting to get "closer".

Have a great weekend all!
Tex

Well it's 6:40 am, I'm sitting here :surfweb: and thinking about the cruise before I go out and shovel about 7 inches of snow. Storm blew through yesterday and overnight. Hope you all have a great day today:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Tex, did they indicate what any of the ships might be named?

Nothing yet - although I've seen some discussion on other boards - some are asking for people to throw out their personal picks. "Dream" has been a favorite of the one's I've seen.

Here are the 4 choices that are winning right now. You have till midnight to vote or to change your vote. Pick your 3 favorites before the poll closes!

Cruis-A-Palooza = Eight (8)

DIS-TOBERFEST 2007 = Seven (7)

Mousecruisers =One (1 )

Lets Celebrate Cruise = One (1)

It appears the winner by a nose is:

Cruis-A-Palooza = Eight (8) votes!

LisaBi - I talked with my sister and we would like to join you. Not sure about DM Jeanne or the other woman sailing with us.

Ben will be happy to hear Cruis-A-Palooza won! It'll be in honor of him since he can't join us :)

*wondering if we'll still get the free booz-a*

Hope everyone is doing well!

Hey Guys! I'm filling out our passport applications as we speak!
I also picked up dresses for me and DD for formal night. Clearance prices! Will probably book a room a the Hyatt for the night before and then watch Hotwire. Which makes me nervous. I like a sure thing.
I just read a thread that stated Southwest will release their schedule past September on May 11th. Lots going on! I'll be checking the boards just about daily now.

SNicksed, I just searched and did not see it. From what i have read it needs to be listed as: MCO area, tennis nearby, shuttle service, area "A", and 3.5*. Thanks for being true to your word!

I just realized why you didn't see it. Do not include children in your search. I only enter 2 adults. We obviously bring our son along. Nothing has ever been said. I wonder why they do that?

Try the search with 2 adults only. :thumbsup2
