Bus Drop Off for Epic vs Entrance to Helios

We’re staying at the Portofino and planning on trying one of the restaurants at Helios our first night. If we take the bus from the Portofino to Epic can we easily get to Helios or do we need to use an Uber?

You might consider taking the CityWalk Helios bus.

I don't think Epic buses go to Helios, and I don't think there's an intended walking path around Epic to Helios.

You would need a park ticket to Epic if you took the bus. There's no way to get to Helios as far as I'm aware from the bus drop off

Think of it like trying to get to boardwalk at Epcot

Yeah that is probably your best bet.

In the past they had a bus that went between the three Deluxe resorts - I feel like they should bring that back and do the 4 deluxe resorts. having to go to Citi walk first is a hassle IMO.

Hope you enjoy the food at Helios! We thought it was good, but as you might expect, rather pricey for what you get, at least in my opinion. Even a grab-and-go refrigerated buffalo chicken wrap was $18. Still I'd say it was worth getting a few small plates up at Bar Helios just for the atmosphere and views.
