October 11, 2012 Disney Dream 3 Night

I was booked in a 9d gty and got my room assignment today. We got room 7500, it looks like a handicap accessible room, has anyone had this room before?

I've been checking religiously for the room assignment and figured no one noticed theirs yet because it wasn't posted here yet :)

Congrats on your upgrade, I was really hoping for a balcony (long shot I know) especially because the ship still seems pretty empty. Always a chance to upgrade at the port, either way I'll still be on the ship so it doesn't matter where I am!

Oh, I have been checking everyday, sometimes twice a day! I checked this morning and it was not assigned, so it must have happened this afternoon. I saw the VGT rates were up again today too. I am okay with the ship not being too full. :) Good luck with your port upgrade. I love to read stories about the great deals!

Believe me I am so okay with the ship being empty! We were on the dream last November during "jersey week" and it was very crowded, and everyone was practically from jersey which I was somewhat expecting but not as much. A week after the cruise I was out to eat and heard the family next to us talk about the cruise and it turned out we were on the same sailing!

Reason for Jersey week....

Basically there is a teachers convention so schools are closed Thursday and Friday usually the 2nd week in Nov. in addition election day is usually that Tuesday so a lot of schools have 1/2 days or schools are closed. So as I'm sure you can imagine a lot of families travel that week.

We just decided we're booking next 2013 Thanksgiving on the Fantasy, now I'm obsessing over 2 cruises at once, :thumbsup2

Heather, we are with CCAI also. Our kids are almost the same age, daughter, 8 and son, 4. We just made a paper chain tonight to countdown to our trip. Our fall break is the weekend before so we can't stay too many extra days. I'm only allowed three personal days at school/work. We are at least hoping for Monday at MK. We are doing Seaworld Sunday night for their halloween night.

We go to Disney three to four times a year - can you tell we are a Disney family?? :rotfl: We already had another cruise booked for October and changed the dates once CCAI announced this cruise.

sweetiee - the kids will see all characters on the cruise without having to wait forever like at the parks. Quick trips are nice as well. We do go to Disney on long weekends. Either way your family will have a wonderful time.

jbwork - we have done the thanksgiving cruise - two stops at Castaway Key is wonderful.:cool1:

Hi everyone! We *just* booked this cruise last week and will be joining you. It is, I think, our 11th cruise? Or maybe 12? We were platinum on the inaugural Fantasy, so somewhere around there.

Anyway, that is me, my husband, and our oldest 2 kids. This time we're bringing my mom and our cousins and it is their first cruise ever. We booked verandah gty cause they were actually cheaper than inside cabins for us (me, husband, 2 younger kids; we put my oldest with my mom) and my cousins.

So the roll call is:
Me - Justine
DH - Joey
DD 8 - Madison
DS 6 - Henry
DD 2.5 - Scarlett
DGM - Dorothy

Cousins are:
Jim
Teresa
Kayla - 14
Danaca - 4

We haven't adopted, but when I saw the CCAI I was excited because we wrote a rec for our friend who was just matched with her daughter last month and that's their agency. They were actually considering this cruise, but have heard that they'll get a travel date by December so they figured they probably shouldn't spend a few thousand in October in case they do get to pick up their daughter by the end of the year. They were super excited when I told them there was a CCAI reunion on this cruise and are excited to plan a future one with their new little girl.

Is the FE still open?

Aw, we did a double-dip last year, it was great! I hate that they don't offer that as a more standard itinerary, The itinerary for next years Fantasy is the St. Martin/St Thomas one, we've never done it though, and I hear those are nice stops, :thumbsup2

Got our cruise docs and luggage tags yesterday!!!!!!!! So close now!

We got ours too! My daughter and I are working on fish extender gifts, when will we have a final numbers? We are looking forward to it!

Havent got our info yet :( but hubby does now know about the cruise :D :D I made him a little film to tell him all about it, if you have a spare few mins and fancy a peek its here

We are getting excited as well. Trying to work on our FE gifts. We are finding things here and there to include. Do we have an updated list of participants?

My daughters and I will be on the CCAI 20th anniversary cruise with you! This is our first Disney cruise. We are really looking forward to it. We've been reading the posts and trying to get our goodies together for decorating the door and participating in the FE game.

Can't wait to meet everyone!

30 days!! Now it gets real, because I actually have to start doing things to get ready, :lmao:

Need to call about getting the dogs boarded I suppose.

Also, I've been following a Disney foodie site all month(http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/), and my list of "things to eat at WDW" is getting extensive. I need to hit the gym every other day while on vacation to try and combat some of these damn calories!! :yay:
