October 11, 2012 Disney Dream 3 Night

Jbwork,

Very excited to see you here too! Maybe you could give the rest of us a few tips, tricks or secrets about Disney cruising!

I am so excited to have so many responses already! This is going to be so much fun! My girls will also be very excited to hear how many kids are in the group, especially other girls. I've never done this before, but I think what we need is the first names of everyone in your group and the age and gender of the kids. If anyone is uncomfortable giving names, I'm sure just age and gender of the kids would be fine. I will get a list started. Jbwork, since you have participated in this before, do you have any other suggestions?

I will start:
Tappie, Brant, Ava - girl 7, Audrey - girl 3

The last couple of cruises we did were pretty simple. If you want to do the fish extender game, you start compiling a list of who wants to participate, and their party, and their room. Usually the day of the cruise we would all meet around 1pm to meet and greet and get our list for the Fish Extender games. Thats about it! Some people coordinate excursions together or kid play times etc, but honestly, there is so much to do on the boats, we've never done that, :goodvibes Some people coordinate sharing cabana's on Castaway Cay, as well.

You will pretty much NOT see your kids during the day, :rotfl: The last cruise we went on, last year mine were both 4, and they literally would wake up, and ask to go to the kids area, and wouldn't want to leave anytime we went to get them. With that said, I'd recommend checking out the Spa rooms, or some of the non-kid events.

Oh and I'm Jason, the wife is Robyn, and (at time of sailing) my son is Matt(5) and daughter is Ying(5). We will be in room 5156, unless we upgrade at the port, :thumbsup2

We've never been on this particular cruise, so we've never been to Nassau, but we can't wait to go back to Castaway Cay.

Still hoping for more families!

Our family is attending this cruise and we are all so excited. DH and I have only been on one other cruise so this is a first in 10 years and with two kids! We are taking our DD8 and DS4. We are part of the CCAI reunion and are looking so forward to going on this cruise!

Sweetiee,
Welcome to the group! So excited to have another family! Are you guys interested in doing a fish extender exchange? Just curious, what is CCAI?

Heh, its an adoption agency that specializes in Chinese adoptions. They are having a 20 year reunion onboard, so there will be a lot of adoptive families on this particular cruise, :woohoo:

So if your kids/family has never seen this before, or has any questions about it upi can prep them now, :rotfl:

Haha. I deleted because my friend and I were trying to figure out how to get on a 7 day cruise. I really think 3 days will be too short! :scared:

However, we will most likely be on this boat. I will update later....when we finally make up our minds.

Ha, yes, I agree, this is our 1st 3-day cruise, and it doesn't seem like it will be long enough. You could always do a back-to-back cruise, :wizard:

It is official - you can place us on your FE rosters. I am in that state of bliss when I have just made new Disney cruise reservations. It is like a really nice hit of (insert drug of choice).

Troy - poor DH who has to put up with above mentioned addict
Kyler - 10
Kayla - 9
Kennedy - 3

Autumn - 6

We have made peace with the fact that we are going on a three day cruise and going to love every minute of it. ;) Then we will celebrate our good times with even more good times at WDW. My 9 yo is super excited that we get to go "on a cruise annnnddd to DisneyWorld?!?!" Especially because we are going with their friends. To make times even more fun. Ginger and I know Tappie and their family.

Only 100 more days. Kayla was tasked with job of making a countdown calendar. Can't wait to see what she comes up with.

I am super excited that y'all are coming! You are going to have to give me all your cruise tips! We are thinking about doing the MNSSHP on 10/14. Do you think that's crazy? Will we be exhausted from the cruise or just super excited for a few hours in the MK? I'm pretty much thinking the second option!

We are going to MNSSHP on the 10/14. Getting off the ship is very easy. We plan on getting to WDW, checking in, swimming at the hotel - then have just enough time to change and head to the parks at 4:00pm. Of course, we will have costumes. We are brainstorming on what costumes to make.

There will plently of time to take a nap at the hotel before the party that night.

My favorite cruise tip is to get the rainforest room pass. I loved the rainforest room and spent alot of time in the hot tub on the balcony. It was better than the couple choice in the spa villa and cost a lot less!
