After hearing about the storm this week and how the Magic and Wonder had to dodge the storm this week I do hope we do not have to deal with that next year. Last year on the Halloween cruise we had seas that were 15 feet high.......!!!!!!!!!!

Hello! I'm sure Mapquest is correct on the distance, but it has never taken me that long to get to Ashland. We come up to Huntington to shop quite often. Usually make that in a little less than two hours. DD and I came to Charleston a few years ago. She had to see Disney on Ice and the Charleston Civic Center was the closest that it came to were we lived. If I recall correctly, that trip took about three hours or maybe a little less. A pre-cruise meet sounds great to me. Do you have any chidren? My DD will be ten when we sail, but her birthday is 11/15 so she will be almost 11.

Gail, let me know the next time you come shopping! We are actually in Hurricane, Teays Valley area to be exact! The Barboursville mall is about 20 mins for me! Actually, the Mapquest time was from my home to Hindman, so that's probably right. We live 1/2 way between Huntington and Charleston, about 20 mins either way. Colton will turn 13 in February and Connor will turn 11 in May! My boys have never gone through the "girls are icky" stage, so if your DD doesn't think boys are icky, Connor and She just might get along! We will DEFINITLY have to meet up! I am sure you'll be in shopping for the holidays! I'll PM you my cell number! Just call and we'll meet for lunch or dinner!

I got your PM before I read this, so I won't repeat it all. But, no my DD doesn't have a problem with boys either. Her class consists of 8 girls and 17 boys. She has been forced to like them. One of the boys is probably who she would say is her best friend. They are both really good students and they compete with each other in the classroom. When we get a definite schedule for Christmas shopping, I'll PM or call.

CONGRATS!!! I hope you got the times and price that you wanted. I am hoping that I can get cheap on JetBlue when they come out so I will have to wait till early spring I think for them they only book six months out..
I am going to call Member services this week and book SSR for two nights before the cruise...

When are you flying down?? I think you told me Friday right??When is everyone else planning on fflying down and where will you stay??

DH just told me that we are going to be adding onto our DVC contract at SSR. He wants to add 200 more points so we can get the 270 developer points. I am hoping that I can rent some of my points out now since I have all of my trips planned already for this year and next too...


Anyone up to doing a Holiday card exchange if you are I would be happy to collect all the information and then email it out to everyone. Might be fun to get some cards from fellow cruiseres~especially picture cards..

I know a lot of folks on our last cruise stayed at the Raddison at the port the night before if that helps at all....They have a free shuttle over to the port......

I haven't decided for sure, but our tentative plans are to arrive in Orlando Thur. Spend one night at Wilderness Lodge and Fri at one of the Disney parks. Then, we are definitelys staying at the Radison at the Port Fri night. I am driving down. It's about an 11 hour drive for us. I know that flying is so much quicker, but DD and I take so much with us that flying is inconvenient for us. As she gets older, this will become more of an option for us. It's just hard for me to manage the luggage and a kid all by myself. We only fly when we absolutely can't drive.
