I just need to know were you on the Magic or the Wonder and what was your sail date. We just got back from our 5th cruise. We were on the Magic 9/8 -9/15.

Hello! We were on the Magic 09/16-23/06. We called it the Double Dip Cruise because it was one of the special cruises that stoped at Castaway Cay twice, going and coming. It was great.

WELCOME to all the new cruisers! This is just going to be SO much fun!!

Gail, I got your PM! Can't wait to meet you! Have you thought about flying out of Huntington? Now with Allegiant, we can fly, non-stop into Sanford for just $60 per person, one way. It's GOT to be cheaper then driving! We flew in June and it was so easy! Nothing like busy Orlando Airport. If you are worried about having too much stuff, why not ship a box to the port! It will be waiting for you in your stateroom when you get there! If it's stuff you need to send back, there is a place to repackage and send it back home!

I don't know what I keep doing wrong but I am having to retype almost every post and send it a second time before it shows. If this other one ends up posting to, sorry.

$60 per person is a great rate, but we drive as more of a convenience issue. Our biggest problem is we are notorious for extreme overpacking. DD has medical issues that make it impossible for help with the luggage, making it necessary for me avoid having to handle my luggage myself. I have always planned vacations with less than one days drive and just drove out of convenience.

We are planning to go to So. Cal. in June and will obviously have to fly. Take only what when can't buy there, rent a car and spend the first day shopping for what we will need on the trip. I know this sounds crazy, but to me it sounds better than trying to drag a bunch of luggage around by myself. Who knows maybe after our June trip, I'll change my mind.

Here is our problem. We received confirmation from DU that they received our deposit for the cruise. We were able to secure 1st dining which was a must for us. They then sent us our room assignment which was apparently the last available on deck 2 (we are in cat. 9) and we wanted deck 2 vs. 1. The room is the second last room beside the engine and reviews of the room that I have read are not good, a constant hmmm being one complaint. So now were are thinking of switching our cruise as this one is obviously close to sold out. This is obviously a busy time, I gather it is fall break for the US kids. We have the ability to change to any cruise as I am a SAHM and dh schedule is flexible. Not sure what we should do. So we may be off this ship before it is even sailed Dh and I spent hours on the DCL site (which stinks btw) trying to figure out a cruise. I can't believe how quickly they fill up, and I'm a year out. Any ideas??

Oh Gina sooo sorry to hear that. We do not want to loose you from our Pirate Sailing...ANy chance you could ask them to put you on a waitlist if a better room opens up. Or could you contact another ta and inquire to see if they have the cabin that you want and then trnasfer your ressie over to them and then cancelling out your current ressie with DU. COntact Carol to see what she has left. Heck, you have nothing to loose you may get the cabin you want and more of an onboard credit. Let me know if you want Carol's information there must be a few of those cabins left.

We would hate to lose you on this cruise but when I looked just the other day the Western on 10/4/07 still seemed to have opening. If that time will work for you I know that that thread will welcome you with open arms.

You could if you need this time frame ask about a wait list to be on deck two. Whatever you do I hope it is the vacation you have dreamed about. Lois

We did look at that one as one of the options, and thankfully the Dis is full of great people. Hopefully it all come together as we would like to sail on this one.

Did you try calling her? I did e-mail her yesterday and let her know you might be contacting her. She answered me mid-late afternoon, so I'm sure she'll get back to you shortly!!!

She has e-mailed me as late as 9pm before, so I don't think she keeps bankers hours, there may still be hope.

Hey everybody!!! I am so far behind in this thread. I should go back 10 pages or more to chatch up.

Welcome to all of our new cruisers. We are going to have quite a group. It will be great to meet everyone.

Hope everyone who has been sick or kiddos sick are doing better. I have been sick for so long and finally now after 7 weeks (or longer, LOL..I have lost track)I am getting better.

I am going to try and keep up. Any news that I need to know about our cruise?

belle, I'm sorry if Carol hasn't gotten back to you yet... (?) and I feel bad for gloating.... I hope you hear from her soon... but we're booked! I'm so excited. She got us a cabin with a picture window in a 'good location'. I called her from my car on my way out of the office, so I couldn't take down any info... I'll be talking to her sometime tomorrow for my deposit information - again I was driving, so I couldn't supply that for her at the moment. I don't keep my card w me. It's put away for special things. But she got our names, bdays, and address to reserve the cabin.

On another note, Heather wasn't feeling well the other nite... and now I don't feel too healthy. Sore throat; but I have a dr. appt. tomorrow for a follow-up, so I'll have him check it out. Tis the season!
