Just DW of Fireman17 checking in, now that I finally have unglued the phone and cell phone from my ears for a bit!
First off, MUCH THANKS to all of you here on the DIS for your thoughts and prayers these past few days...Thank God that the power of prayer really does work! Dad is resting still at our local hospital as I am diligently trying to orchestrate a new living arrangement for him in a truly secure and safe environment. I do not have any direct answers from Dad as to where he spent two whole days AND nights, but someone somewhere up above must have been watching over him!

With Dad's fairly new diagnosis of Pick Disease, I am just going to have to stop wondering what on earth went on while he was gone, because he is the only one who can tell me and he has unfortunately been unable to remember much at all...All I know is that his clothes were filthy and it then became too upsetting for me to keep trying to determine where on earth he had been/slept for two nights...
Luck was definitely on Dad's side, as we had fairly comfortable weather over those two days and he was found only very tired, dehydrated and of course, hungry, all of which has been dealt with during his stay at the hospital. A bit of a sunburn and some blisters were the only real new problems he has as a result of his "weekend away". Scary to think of the "What If's" for us, but, in the end, he is safe and sound and hopefully I can get all our ducks in a row very soon to re-establish Dad in a favorable living situation in the next couple of days...
So, friends, once again, thanks for all of your thoughts and prayers and hopefully the road I will be travelling down with Dad from here on in will be a smooth one

Most of all, I cannot thank my DH enough

for being the awesome husband and father that he is for me and our family! I don't know how I could be getting through all of this without him
