Good luck Maureen on your surgery. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

MJ, I hope your kids can join you. I'm sure that it would be fun. I am also a teacher, and I am able to swing this cruise during our fall break (of course, I know that I am lucky and many, many schools don't have a fall break at all). But I hope it works out that way for your family.

Maureen,

BEST OF LUCK WITH YOUR SURGERY!!!! WE ALL WILL BE THINKING OF YOU!!!!!!
Also, most of that information is on the website from anyone who has sent it to me. If you want just cut and copy it from there. That way if you get any more information we can update the website and same goes for me.

MJ,
That would be neat if the kids could make the cruise.
Sounds like they are all pretty busy. I'm assuming they have been on Disney Cruise Line before???

Yep, they have been on several times....they love it...but as I said my son really enjoyed the nightlife on our Carnival

MJ,

Your kids are beautiful!!!!!!

Does anyone want a Passproter book? I have one that I can mail out to anyone!!!!!!!Kristin

Hi everyone, asking again for your prayers and pixie dust as you know
Mommyrom had to put her Dad into an assisted living facility which was somewhat secured. Yesterday at around 10 a.m. he was able get out from the facility without being noticed luckily only 20 minutes went by until they knew he was missing he left with no money no ID or anything that he could be identified with so this is not helping calm Mommyrom. A search of the area found nothing and the search continued the rest of the day and he was not located. We are now going on 24 hours and still he has not been located or seen at all the news media has been contacted and will broadcast the story tonight with hopes of him being found.
If I could ask if you could send your prayers and pixie dust Mommyroms way I would greatly appreciate it.
I'm trying to keep her spirits up but I know her heart is breaking and hope we have a good outcome from this.
Thank you all.

Oh Fireman!! I am so sorry to hear of this! It's been another 24 hours. Is there any news of finding him? Prayers are going up for all of the family.

The state police picked him up Sunday morning on I 95 in the Old Lyme area. He's in the hospital and will be admitted but he's okay otherwise. I left work right after my wife's call and she just left for the hospital.
Thank you again for all your prayers and pixie dust and shows how much all of us Disneyer's stick together for each other. You are all true friends in the time of need.

Just DW of Fireman17 checking in, now that I finally have unglued the phone and cell phone from my ears for a bit! :sad2:

First off, MUCH THANKS to all of you here on the DIS for your thoughts and prayers these past few days...Thank God that the power of prayer really does work! Dad is resting still at our local hospital as I am diligently trying to orchestrate a new living arrangement for him in a truly secure and safe environment. I do not have any direct answers from Dad as to where he spent two whole days AND nights, but someone somewhere up above must have been watching over him! With Dad's fairly new diagnosis of Pick Disease, I am just going to have to stop wondering what on earth went on while he was gone, because he is the only one who can tell me and he has unfortunately been unable to remember much at all...All I know is that his clothes were filthy and it then became too upsetting for me to keep trying to determine where on earth he had been/slept for two nights...:confused3

Luck was definitely on Dad's side, as we had fairly comfortable weather over those two days and he was found only very tired, dehydrated and of course, hungry, all of which has been dealt with during his stay at the hospital. A bit of a sunburn and some blisters were the only real new problems he has as a result of his "weekend away". Scary to think of the "What If's" for us, but, in the end, he is safe and sound and hopefully I can get all our ducks in a row very soon to re-establish Dad in a favorable living situation in the next couple of days...

So, friends, once again, thanks for all of your thoughts and prayers and hopefully the road I will be travelling down with Dad from here on in will be a smooth one :confused3 Most of all, I cannot thank my DH enough  for being the awesome husband and father that he is for me and our family! I don't know how I could be getting through all of this without him

WOW!! WHat an ordeal for you and your family this has been. I really can not imagine what you been going through. I am soo happy that all of this has had a happy ending for all of you.

I will continue to keep all of you in my prayers!!!!!

Thanks for your thoughts, Kristin! I don't really think this will all totally become a reality for me right away, as odd as that sounds...I have been so in tune to the "jobs" that I have had to do for my Dad these past few days with the police, news, newspaper, doctors and attorneys that I honestly think my heart has not had time to cry as much as I will be doing in the near future when I get Dad situated in a new facility soon and things hopefully settle down. That may sound strange and don't get me wrong, this has been tremendously devastating and scary for me and my family, but I am getting some kind of strength from somewhere :confused3 I have warned my DH that I am probably going to be that crazy woman crying uncontrollably as we walk down Main Street USA on our trip in August that Disney World has ever seen! :) One day at a time, (or one phone call, as in my case lately! :rotfl: )

We are so happy that your father is okay. The power of prayer is an awesome thing!!!

Glad your Dad is ok mommyrom.
Happy 4th everyone. This is a picture I created several years ago. I submitted it in a contest a couple of years ago, and it wound up in a calender. I think it fits the occasion!
