October 11-18, 2008 Eastern Magic-Parrothead Pirates in Paradise! Chapter#4

My 6 year old had a horrible cough yesterday; so he didn't sleep well- so off to the Dr at 1 and no complaints of a sore throat; but dr says oh my! look @ those tonsils; they're enormous! So a throat culture and yes he's got strep! And add to that this am he was warm but wouldn't let me take his temp ( he has autism) but was willing to take the motrin @ 9- so fastforward to 1 and at the dr office his temp was 102.8!!!! So more mootrin and then antibiotics and he seems better- but the cough is still horrible! But nothing about his throat being sore? Fixing dinner now; and hopefully able to check in w u all later. Have a nice eve all! Angel

well I hope he feels better soon!!!!! nothing worse than a sick child!!! alot of bad stuff floating around I guess...

Looks like we are going to book a free dining trip to WDW the week before school starts. Our friends are going so we are seriously considering going with them too. Its so hard to turn down free dining. Alec also feels he missed out on our last trip so he wants to go again. We are going to sit down tonight and figure it out. Heres hoping.

oh how nice!!!!!!!! we have too much stuff going on this summer, but we might take a weekend trip to NYC and that's pretty much it for us....

Hello all!!!
Let me just start by saying I am VERY close to being physically exhausted. My whole body aches at this point. I didn't even get a chance to mow the grass before it got dark. I still have fudge to make...but that won't take 10 mins and it can cool all night, I'll slice it in the morning. I need to make sweet tea to take too.....but again. Just minutes at the stove! It's getting late! I better get at it!

Angel, I hope your son gets to feeling better soon! Strep seems to be the illness of choice these days!

Kristin, If I don't get back on tonight, have a WONDERFUL time at WDW!!! Can't wait to see more photos of SSR!!

I think we are close, if not already past, time to make ADRs for those of us staying at WDW prior to the cruise! I guess I better have my family decide which park they want to do this weekend, so we can get that done!

Thanks everyone! This is just typical pre-trip me! I can't leave the house a mess and I end up packing EVERYTHING because Steve works a 12 hour shift. I even moved my winter tires from the garage to the shed. Then I got the lawnmower for the service place, put the cooler, 12x12 shelter, 4 milk crates full of stuff and we still have the suitcase and toiletry bag to add...but there's room! Oh, and 4 folding chairs and a work mat too!

Have a good weekend! I need to go find the cups for the "girlie drinks"!

I just got one out of my drawer the other day and sad to say I do not even know the title. I've read like two pages but that is it. Hoping to finish it while we are gone. Plus, all the shows come back on tooo!!!!!!!!! LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
