With the 50th being an 18-month “celebration” (well, at least if you’re into merch and snacks), will there be anything “special” at MK for the 51st or at Epcot for the 50th? We will be there for a conference (I would have not willingly picked these dates, LOL) and want to be able to adjust plans to either select MK/Epcot or avoid them completely. Thank you for any insights!

This year is Epcot’s 40th, not 50th. I wouldn’t expect any huge celebration.

There is a lot of onsite resort availability around your date. I would consider that a good sign.

I would personally be surprised if they do anything especially fancy for Epcot on the 40th, beyond maybe the typical anniversary basics: park map, button, merch, food, possibly a fireworks tag, etc.

It's a Saturday during Food & Wine, so it'll be busy-ish already.

Was there for the 35th expect crowds of eBay flippers at least in the earlier hours
