Question of the Day: Listening to Judy's CD with music by Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers got me thinking about songs to fit the holidays. So how about this for a question of the day: What is your favorite cruising song?

Right now some oft played songs in my Jeep are: "The Pirate Song" (my girls collapse into giggles when they say ARRRGGGHHH) and they also love to belt out the "I Wanna be a Princess" song, both of which are on the Drew's Pirate Princess compilation CD I got at our local party store (super cheap at $4.99). One of my favorite tunes of all times is Sheryl Crow's "Soak up the Sun."

By the way, The DCL forum has a thread right now on cruising songs. The thread is titled "Which music for Cruise CD?" See especially posts #143 (by mmouse37!), #148, #175, #199. :rolleyes1:rolleyes1:rolleyes1:rolleyes1:rolleyes1

Our favorite song that is usually played during the sail-a-way party is....Hey Baby!!

It really sets the tone for the cruise. :cool1:

I was just going to say that one too! It may not specifically be a cruise type song, BUT since it was played at the Sail Away Parties, It makes me think of DCL EVERY time I hear it! I play that one here often with the daycare kids! :)

BBBRRRRRRR, I just finished editing our New Years Day Video. Man, just watching it is making me CCCCOOOOLLLLLDDDD!
Thought some of you might enjoy it: :)

Wow, neat video! It cooled me off about 5 degrees just watching it! Which is great since it is 90-something out there today! Great editing job! (And Hey- at least I'm not the only one working on a video from January!:rotfl2:)

Today is my 2nd day back to work after the cruise, and I already feel like I need another trip. Good thing we have a few microtrips to WDW planned between now and the cruise. One of the many benifits of being so close to Mickey's house :)

LOL- agreed! I would love to pop over and see the MSEP- I really hope they keep it after August 14....

Well, for sure it is Lovely Cruise by Jimmy Buffett

Yeah that one for sure makes me think of DCL specifically! That- and that Together Forever song from HSM but I could do without hearing that one again! :rotfl: I like Hey Baby though! Oooh, Aaah!

That was GREAT!!! I just watched with Tyler (13) and we are VERY impressed by the ski jump!!! :worship: :worship: :worship:

Nenner- thanks for posting a pic of the Ritaville slide- I think we may make that our excursion that day- or just hang on the ship. Haven't decided....maybe we'll just go to the beach for a couple of hours. :confused3
Have to see how crazy the crowds are that day!:scared1:

Pretty much anything by Bob Marley is going to make me long for the Carribean, but "No Worries" especially.

And "Beyond the Sea", makes me think of both of my grandparents and the vacations I took with them when I was little.

You're very welcome! We are going to go by there after the Capt. Marvin's excursion, which is over appx 1PM. The only problem is... we aren't bringing Sarah so one of us will have to tender back and pick her up from Flounder's and then tender back and meet up at M-ville. Sigh. And since Ron went last time, that means it's my turn. It was not crowded at all the day we were there. In fact pretty much the whole time it was just my kids and Val's kids (one of my fellow DDD'ers) in the pool. We shared a little cabana and chit-chatted. It was great! :thumbsup2

Awesome!!! I hope it's like that when we're there!! I'd love to hang with you by that pool! :thumbsup2

Windows Movie Maker! Everytime I think of getting a new software program, I discover that Windows Movie maker can do what I was needing the new software for. There are a few things it can't do, like have a character added to fly across the video, and some other things. So eventually I'll find something else thats easy to use, but for now, the Movie Maker is the easiest.:)

Thank you so much for the tip. I read it and thought 'oh, I don't have that', checked my programmes and found it! After all this time and there it is. I can now empty my Amazon wish list of just about every video editing software out there!

We have tied up our Captain Marvin's booking with yours, if that's ok. Not sure how many now? Think I read 47 to a boat, they didn't say it was too full anyway!

Captain Marvin's:

I just submitted my request online at Captain Marvin's for my Dad (Bill). He's 62 and loves fish (he can tell you just about everything about them).

I feel safer knowing he's with a bunch of people who will look out for each other (i.e. a group of disers) since I'll be staying on board the ship with my mom.

Wow, don't know how I missed you! I've updated the Update now with all 4 of you and PrincessTrisha's Dad. That now leaves only room for 4 more!!! We definately have the boat to ourselves now for CERTAIN!!

A Reminder about the DVD captain Marvins does, and sells for quite a bit. If any are interested we could split into several groups for that DVD. I don't feel ok with us just getting one DVD and copying it for all our group, I'd feel bad for the Captain Marvins Workers. BUT, LOL, I do feel ok if we got DVD's in groups between us, ie: 3 or 4 or whatever of us buy the DVD but each of us who do can split the cost with 2 or 3 other families and I dont' mind being the one to make and ship out the copies. Let me know how you all feel about this. I think we had discussed this earlier on too. :)

The DVD is sold for about $70. It will not be ready before we leave port so they make them and mail them to those who pay for them. It really is a good vidio and you can watch it on the trip back to the port after the last stop. I agree that we shouldn't just buy the one but would be cool with two to four families sharing the cost. Count me in as I had planned on buying it if the weather was good. If I can share the cost I would agree to get it regardless.

Count me in for sharing the cost of the CM DVD too!

Hi there :goodvibes

I think there are 66 of us so far, and it seems Nachi will only take 100 visitors per day, although whether or not this includes children is open to debate I think! You will need to email them to book http://cozumelcruiseexcursions.com/CozumelBeachBreak.htm

They will let you know first off whether they have space, and you book thereafter. Really hope you can join us!

We'd love to have you! Check out all the information on the first page of our forum. If you end up joining us we'd be up to 78 people! The more the merrier. Please let us know when you are confirmed by Island Marketing and I'll add you to our list. It has been taking somewhere between 1-3 days to hear back from them with a confirmation number. We are having a treasure hunt for the "10 and under" kiddos so also let me know the kids' ages and gender as we'll have some fun activities/stuff planned for them!
