Oct 30 2010 7 Night Western

We too will be re-booking while on board. I'm not sure exactly what I want to book though. We won't do anything less than a 7 day again, but I WANT to be on the new ship. Prices for the Dream are insanely low for 2011 especially the fall. Originally I was planning on booking a B2B on the dream for Sept 2011. I want to take my mother though on our next cruise, and I'd really rather take her to the Caribbean! Does anyone think the 7 night prices in 2012 will be as fabulous as the Dream's prices for it's first year?
I'll probably book the dream as a dummy reservation.
And just when I think of that, and then think the actual cruise will be in 2012, I start that'll be two years between cruises, and I DON'T WANT TO WAIT THAT LONG (unless prices are really good in April or May on the 7 night in 2012).
 
We booked two cruises when we were on board in October 2009, this one and one for October 8-15, 2011 - an Eastern.

I'm not sure if we want to keep the 2011 Eastern, or shift that to something else. If there was something fabulous offered for one of the new ships, I would definitely consider moving.

Or maybe I will keep the October 2011 AND book something for 2012! :)
 
Okay - so I've updated my personal "fish extenders" list with names and ages and rooms where known (yes I am early but I want to get most of it done now because well - that's just who I am).

I count 80 people (including my family).

I know on some of the other cruises, they have split the fish extenders into groups when they got this big.

I'm okay to keep it as one *large* group but how does everyone else feel about this?

I am happy however we decide to do the FE. BUT - do you have a master spread sheet you are willing to share with us? That is the part I hate having to do. We have been talking as a family about what we want to do this year for our FE's. I really want to do some sort of coolies/koozies/can holders for the adults with our new cool logo on them! Love the graphics!

Thinking about all of our East Coast friends - we are so done with snow, are you? We will surely be laughing about all this snow in October, won't we?

I am watching for MNSSHP dates and will post as soon as I see anything. I think our Friday, Oct 30 is going to be a sell out. They typically post these around Mid April if I am remembering correctly.

I would think that the total number of families is less than half of that 80, so I'm willing to keep it as a big group.


As for the snow many of you have gotten, I'll take that any day over all the tons of SLUSH we have. The kids boots are SOAKED and not easy to get dry. Yesterday my DS6's boots were still soaking wet in the morning after having been upside down on the mitten dryer over the floor vent over night. It was supposed to be Winter Olympic Fun Day at his school, so I decided to keep him home (couldn't have him playing outside for 1/2 the day in Wet Boots) I had no extra pair. In the end the school cancelled the Fun Day because it ended up being too slushy and pools of water everywhere.
(if I had known that would be the case, I'd have sent him to school in his rain boots. He busses there and back, so wouldn't have been out long in his rain boots).
 
**FE Exchange Update**

Added two more families (8 more people) to our exchange. Bringing our totals to 36 kids (and 1 infant) and 43 adults!

ETA: 22 cabins!!

Here is the information again! I have the list on an Excel spreadsheet and can email it to anyone! Just pm me your email address and I can send it out.

Hi - I noticed that on the FE list mvlimmex aka Vicki is listed as 7 people but I only count 6 people on the main page listing (her, her dh and 4 kids) - Did I miss someone in her group?

She has a baby due in April, included the baby for the count :), someone might want to add some infant goodies.
 
Are yoiu looking to do two 7 day cruises or a 3 then 4 day cruise as your B2B?

OH - 2 7 night cruises! I was originally thinking I would get to do an Eastern & a Western (this is our 3rd Western - we haven't done the Eastern at all) but we will have to see what is available at the time :thumbsup2

That's going to be perfect! (the map will be so helpful).

I've done my own list of people just so I could figure out age groups - how many adult men, adult women, kid's under 5, teenage boys - that sort of thing.

I'm making some of my things so I wanted to get a head start - otherwise I know me - I'd be sitting in my room at WDW, scrambling to get these things done.

Unless they are doing something special you will get to do both. I like the Eastern due to more days at sea but enjoy Grand Cayman and Cozumel as ports just a bit more. I am looking forward to our Back To Back this fall!!!

The maps are great but please remember that at times folks get moved at the last moment. So there may be some last minute changes. You can use a dry erase board to alert others to these changes. Every will need to know where to find the messages.

I give to everyone whether the list is split or not, so I'm cool with whatever everyone else decides.

The maps Janice is working on are awesome! They will be very helpful for when you are trolling the floors making your drops. :thumbsup2

I agree with what Lois posted about the dry erase boards. Speaking from experience as we have been one of 'those' people moved at the last minute. I still found people leaving me stuff at the wrong room-even though we knew we got moved several days ahead of time and everything was updated and posted on the update dry erase board AND I printed out a magnet showing the room number we were moved to. It was funny since our FE wasn't there... We saw bags of goodies balancing on the fish and laying on the floor. LOL! (It was easy to rescue everything since we were just down the hall).

We will be rebooking too. Dummy date for now I'm sure. Can't wait to sail on one of the new ships but we would much prefer a regular caribbean 7 night itinerary as opposed to what the Dream is doing in 2011. Fantasy in 2012 is what we will be looking towards. Wish those deposits were still half off..:rolleyes1
 
Do you think the Fantasy will also have the Aqua Duckt? If not, that makes my decision right there. (we'll book the Dream). If it does, then I think I'll book a Dream Dummy and go for the 7 night Caribbean in 2010 :confused3
