Oh thanks so much! I'm glad you liked it! That first video is probably my least favorite of all of them but I do love the tunes. (Love OAR first I wanted Lay Down but it didn't fit as well as Wonderful Day! ;))

There is so much more to come!!! I wish I didn't have to wait 7 weeks to share it all!

OAR is at Ruth Eckerd on Sept 15 - that is when we are going. You should go too.

THANKS Nenner1! I printed out your post and plan to have it handy on 8/16! RE CC: maybe I was thinking of Scuttles -- whatever the place is on the DCL dvd that shows kids walking through dinosaur bones. Skye and Hope emitted some gleeful screams when they saw that on the dvd.

I loved your video too...thanks for sharing! Your music choices were awesome. :)

Completely off topic: I noticed that we are now on page 222 of our cruise meets board. The number 222 strikes a chord as it reminds me of the 70s television show -- "Room 222". Anyone else remember it?

Jen,

Love the video!!! I don't know how you do it. The flowrider looks like a lot of fun.

I remember that show. Also, the #222 was special to my grandparents....they loved to play lotto (my Nana was a very lucky person) so if she saw the #222 more than once in a day, she would make my grandfather stop to buy them as Win 3 lotto numbers. She won a few times playing 222. It's a lotto number that gets sold out here in New York a lot.

Regarding Palo, this is only our second cruise. So on our last cruise, I booked at the 75 mark. The ship was pretty full then, but I still got everything I wanted, including Palo for dinner.

I didn't want to miss anything either, so I picked a night where there wasn't a show, and then booked a late dinner (8:00 or so). We had early seating, so we went with the kids to our regular rotation, had just an appetizer and a drink, then left the kids with their grandmothers (they went with us last time) and then we went to our Palo dinner. So, we never missed our regular rotation and we got to have dinner at Palo too. I'm thinking I am going to do it that way this time also.

I will try for a brunch ressie, but if I don't get it, I won't mind....DH is not a big fan of brunch anyway. Or High Tea for that matter. I really just want to do the tea party with my DD and maybe a wine or tequila tasting with DH, all of which we can't get tickets for until after we board.

I was on my way to work today and saw a family of 15 at the train station headed off for a Carnival Cruise. Now, this depressed me (jealous, of course!). Thankfully, there were Carnival tags on their luggage and not DCL tags, 'cause I'm sure that would have sent me over the edge! :)

Yup, I was a kid when the show was on, kinda liked Karen Valentine. Always had a thing for teachers. ;)

Loved the video!!! Nice job! The Zac Brown Band is the best.

I played the video for my famliy, Sarah was bopping up and down to where the Boat leaves from!!! I can't stand it, this cruise is going to be sooooo much fun!!

Ok everyone I know this is off topic but I was wondering if you ladies started buying your cruise wear?? I know me I just started working out and dieting in hopes to shead a few pounds by the time of our orlando/cruise vacation. And I know I am not ready for swimsuit pictures yet but hopes to by the time we go. I am coming across the issue of i dont know what size I will be come october and summer clothes will soon be off the racks and if its still there it maybe a size 3 which i wont be so wondering what u all are doing? I really want to lose 2 sizes before we go and want to get some cute stuff and all but do i buy the size i am not but want to be by then or what to do cause I will need to start finding shorts and tanks while still out but u all know once all the back to school starts then all the fall clothes come out and i only have one more month of summer. What does a girl do??:upsidedow

Another off topic question. Do you make your own disney door decor or do you buy it already made just wondering i see all these pretty doors in some of the post i have been reading and this will be my first cruise for me and my family and i didnt know where u get these decorations and is there special sticky stuff u use so it doesnt ruin the door?:confused3

That would be a cool show! :thumbsup2 Jen (nenner) and I saw David Gray at Ruth Eckerd a couple months ago, that was really cool. I'm still trying to figure out where to come up with the extra $ to go to Dave Matthews Wednesday.:confused3 I love DMB shows and we had to miss last year and it was heartbreaking.

I'm know I'm probably a bit biased:lovestruc, but Jen has done such an awesome job with her video. :goodvibes It was a lot of fun to watch the finished product.

She actually wrote a really good trip report for that cruise. I tried to convince her to post it on the trip report thread on these boards, but she didn't want to because she didn't think it would go over too well not being Disney. She did post it on cruisecritic. If anyone is interested the link to it is http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1142358 . Again I know I'm biased;), but she did a great job on it. And hey, it's actually complete.:cool2:

The doors are metal so the decorations are either silk-screened magets or have magnet backing. No sticky stuff necessary. My guess is most are hand-made or custom ordered.

We will be at the DMB show tomorrow! We went last year too - it was so stinkin HOT I thought I was going to pass out

Last year, I was dieting before we cruised, but I bought the size I was, not the size I wanted to be. I don't really change shirt sizes, no matter what pant size I am. I figured I could always have the waist band of the pants taken in if I needed to. I didn't want to be stuck with pants that were too small and uncomfortable, just in case. Elastic waist bands are usually best for either going up or going down. Plus, truth be told, I gained 5 pounds on our last cruise....I think I would have been uncomfortable if I bought the smaller size.

I bought a lot of stuff last year through Lands End at the end of the summer season, so it was reduced quite a bit. All the stuff still fits (I lost the five pounds I had gained the week after we returned), so I will be wearing all of it again this year. At the end of the year, when the stores are cleared out, you usually can still find stuff through Overstock.com, LandsEnd, and other online catalogue stores.

I am now finally pretty much done with my old project and ready to move on to my new one. My video of my last cruise is complete*, although I was not able to upload it to youtube because of the music (certain songs cannot be played on youtube due to copyright issues). So instead I put in on vimeo but can only upload 500 MB a week, so that means 1 video a week for the next 7 weeks. (won't make that same mistake on my next video-of this cruise). At least except for the cuts and uploads it's done so I am moving on to this cruise, full steam ahead! :thumbsup2

*Anyone who is interested in watching it can find it here. Its a Royal Caribbean and this is days 1 and 2 (10 mins long).

What an awesome video/slide show. I wish I could be that creative...in my mind I am, but in practice, not so much. A wonderful job bringing everything together musically and visually.

Nenner, I just watched and its a great video! You all look wonderful and it seems like you a fantastic time! I'm going to head over to cruise critic and read the trip report you posted there. I am curious about RCL...it might be a possiblity for us in the future.

I don't have any toddlers anymore (sob!), but I have to say, the splash zone on RCL that you daughter was playing in looks much larger (and better) than the current toddler splash zone on the Magic and the Wonder. I hope for those parents that use it, the splash zone on the new Dream and Fantasy will look as good.

Also, I can't remember if I said it before, but please add my two children to the TOT list. I'm worried about how they are going to react not being able to do traditional trick or treating at home this year, so this will be a good replacement option!

Thank you all so much for all of your compliments! I'm glad you enjoyed it! It seems like I have been working on it forever (well..almost...5 months!:lmao:) It is wonderful to hear such positive feedback! :goodvibes

I canNOT wait to start making my next one for this cruise. I have actually already started to gather the music. In fact I was *devastated* yesterday to find somehow my Castaway Club CD (the one they used to send out to CC members) had fallen in my closet, and gotten stepped on. And since it was only in a plastic sleeve not a case, it was crunched. :sad2: That CD never had a chance, it had already been rescued from my laptop CD/DVD drive where it had gotten stuck once before. Oh well... :(

Yep this is happening to me too. I have gained so much weight since switching to the night shift 2 years ago. Would love to lose some of it, especially before the cruise but it is soooo hard. Old Navy was having a 30% off sale this weekend and I looked online but all the sizes between 2 and 18 were already sold out of all of their shorts! I managed to scrounge up 3 pairs by checking the "tall" and "petite" areas, but I did buy the size I am currently, not the size I'd hope to be by the cruise (which at this point my goal is only one size smaller). I guess if I do actually lose some weight then I will treat myself later on by buying more (if I can find it). LOL. But yeah it is ridiculous how shorts and bathing suits totally dissappear in the fall/winter. We wear shorts year round down here. :sad2:

We make our own. There is a wonderful thread here on the cruise board where some very talented "Dis"-igners make personalized designs for others to use on their cruises. Our very own Judy (tjbaggott) is one of the great folks on theat thread sharing their time and talent. :goodvibes Check it out, you'll be amazed at the creativity!

We have used both magnetic paper and cardstock with adhesive magnets to make our door signs. We have had variable results. If you get cheap magnetic paper (like I did last time) it can bleed everywhere. We used cardstock for our RCCL cruise, and except for one or two magnets curling at the corners it came out well.

We will be at the DMB show tomorrow! We went last year too - it was so stinkin HOT I thought I was going to pass out

Oh enjoy! I don't know why we don't just grab some Lawn seats *ahem* (Ron!);). I do have to work tomorrow night though and both the older kids have practice until 9. We missed last year but had gone every year prior to that. Always seems to pour when we go (LOL). Would love to catch OAR too. I may call up Bubba on the radio and see if he'll give me some tickets..he said today he had 20 pair he was giving out to chicks only. Ha ha!

I hope for those parents that use it, the splash zone on the new Dream and Fantasy will look as good.

Well, the whole area you saw in the picture was not all for toddlers. The diapered kids had one small little corner with one fountain. They weren't allowed to go in the rest of the H20 zone splash area. (where all the pools, hot tubs and good fountains/splashers were) So actually the splash zone in Magic/Wonder is better for the babies but the H20 zone iscool since it is for all the older kids. I think the Nemo splash area on Dream/f\Fantasy is again supposed to be just for diapered children (but don't know if they will restrict it to just the babies/toddlers like RCCL does). That's one difference is the older kids weren't allowed in the diaper splash zone, like they are on DCL. BUT RCCL did not have any slides. So pros/cons there. Loved the H20 zone though, I went in it too! :rotfl:

Also, I can't remember if I said it before, but please add my two children to the TOT list. I'm worried about how they are going to react not being able to do traditional trick or treating at home this year, so this will be a good replacement option!

Great! I've got you down! :goodvibes

Nenner, I'm bringing a huge box of mini Nestle Chocolate bars from Costco. There is something like 170 some pieces in it! (Smarties, KitKats, Arrow bars, Coffee Crisps ect....) I'm bringing a few boxes, as some will go to CM's too, but one whole box will go for the TOT!

Oh wow that's awesome! Thanks Judy! I'll volunteer to man the station that hands out that candy!! ((LOL)) ;)

RE CC: maybe I was thinking of Scuttles -- whatever the place is on the DCL dvd that shows kids walking through dinosaur bones. Skye and Hope emitted some gleeful screams when they saw that on the dvd.

Yep, Scuttle's Cove is where the Dinosaur bones are. Its where they have the kids club on the island. It's not on the beach, on the inland side of the path. So you can check the girls in there for awhile and enjoy some adult time, or I imagine you could also accompany them in there while they explore. Our kids enjoyed it but did complain about how hot it was. :)

My issue right now is i know i will lose weight cause I am having a stomach issue where i am having to watch what i eat cause my stomach lining in inflammed and im on meds to treat it but really on low acid food and no caffiene so there goes my soda for a month and no chocolate either so i look at it as i know i will lose weight but how much so i cant figure out when size i will be i know i will either go down one or two by then. And since im a over packer i cant figure out how many shorts or tank top(casual) i will go through or pool where and what not. maybe im just over thinking things but thats how i am and then after i stop thinking about me i start thinking how clothes will my 7yr old will need cause kids get dirty. and we are doing a week before the cruise in the parks. why cant we have a magic gene lol

Hi,

I have PM for the TOT and for the lanyards but just as a double check. Also, I would be more than happy to volunteer for the TOT.

Thank You,

Nicole
