I know...I am just giddy just thinking about being able to do whatever I want and not have to worry about what DH or the kids want to do or see....plus heavenly ALONE time is something I just never get anymore.

Does anyone have a link to this? I have not heard of it but would love to see it.

Here's the link to the first one, and then once there you can access all the others.

Disney-Cruizer, what day of their trip did they have this? There are so many videos to go through, LOL.

Thanks so much for the links. I am going to have to check them out!!!! It is a rainy day here in CT so a movie for the kids and computer time for me!!!!

We are staying at BLT for two days prior to the cruise. We check in the 28th, MNSSHP on the 29th, Chef Mickeys the morning of the cruise and then 7 days of fun.[/QUOTE]

We are doing MNSSHP on the 26th. and will be staying at BCV until we go to the port on the 29th. Have a reservation there on the 29th. and 1st shuttle of the day on the 30th.

Still hoping any of you staying at the port the night before may want to join us for Meet and Greet. Just let me know.

Just wanted to let you all know today I received the HUGE box of Halloween treats from Dizzi (Lynn)! It really is a whole lot of GREAT stuff I know will make the ToT special!!

:yay::thanks:

Thanks so much Lynn!!!!!

The video TR is great! Savannah has been watching it too. I did kind of the same thing for our cruise in January but I am still working on it. I am in awe of how they can get so much done (editing wise) so fast and do such a great job at it!!!

Oh, I found it, it's Day 7 part 2!!!

I tried showing it to Tim, but that didn't go over so well! He was busy playing Wii, and I pulled him away from that, so of course there was a tantrum, ggggrrrrhhhhhh. Rotten timing on my part. Oh well, I thought it was very sweet, that tea party!:)

I noticed you mentioned over on the board where the links to that youtube trip report is, that you were wanting to figure out how to do that 20th Century Fox intro. I did it yesterday, and the finished product is fabulous! Here it the youtube walkthrough I used, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vjhBMB7_5lo&feature=fvsr

I searched several "How To's" and found this one was the best. If you have any questions about it just ask. I also have the music file for the sound, and can email that to you if you'd like. Once you have the Intro Rendered, you put both that and the music file into Windows Movie Maker or Movie Maker Live, and presto, you have your intro!

INTERUPPT SOMEONE PLAYING WII?
<sigh> what were you thinking!! :rotfl2:

Call Daniel over later and tell him you want to show him something . . . I bet you a nickle Tim gets interested . . .

I think I missed where I was suppose to send Lynn some money to cover the costs of everything she had purchased. Will you let me know how I can still do this? It was so kind of her to send the goodies on to you even though she can't join us.

So I got some good news this morning which kind of surprised me. For whatever reason my "planning brain" went south and some how I got confused between the final payment owed and the total cost of the cruise.

The total cost of the cruise was stuck in my head so when we paid in full today I wasn't taking into account the $2,000 ($500 pp) deposit I spent back on 08/19/2008 (when we were on the 15 day repo).

I told my TA this morning to pay it off so we can book Palo and excursions before the 105 day window (Yeah, I know we are a little slow responding to the 120 day booking window). When she got back to me on the confirmation she told me the amount and it was $2,000 less than I thought it was going to be. Nice! :thumbsup2

Anywho, I booked Palo brunch (Monday 11:30) and Palo dinner (Thursday @ 6). I have to double-check with the family tonight, but I fully expect to do the Dolphin encounter on GC.

All in all, a really good day today!!

I was thinking of having Allison do this. Am I correct that this is something you sign up for after you board the ship?

Well, that must have been a nice surprise for you! And you have money now you didn't expect to have! Awesome!

I have to wait till August 1st to book Palo and the rest. Still trying to decide which night, but currently thinking either the 1st night on board for Palo dinner, or the Sunday evening or Thursday evening. I don't want to miss things on the other nights, and am not all that enthusiastic about skipping meeting our dining team on the first night, but aside from that, I could. So I'll first go for the Sunday evening if I can get the reservation for our regular dining time, and if not then I'm more flexable about timing on the Thursday night! Am I really missing anything if I book on Thurs? Thats the night of the Captains Gala, but really, would I miss anything there? (I can't eat seafood, so wouldn't miss that). Oh decisions decisions!!!

wow!!

In case you haven't hear, Shirley has extended her 10% off offer through August 12. You can call and order your basket for our cruise, you won't be charged until she makes the basket, but if you order before 8/12 you will get 10% off.

If you have never ordered from Shirley before, you won't be dissappointed!!

In the past I have ordered from her to get a case of diet pepsi in our room (since Disney only has coke products) - but then we always have her make up a "basket" for us. You can call and talk to her - and she will put together a wonderful suprise based on your families likes!

you can check out her site (replace the spaces with a period):

I ordered a basket from her for our first cruise and it was awesome!!!! I am thinking of ordering two baskets for our cruise (one for the kids and one for the adults) so it is good to know about the discount. Thanks!!!!!

Thanks for the Shirley tip...I meant to contact her before the end of June but forgot. And a second thanks for putting on the link to the Med youtube trip report -- wow that cruise looks awesome!

I'm starting to worry a bit about our cabin assignment. We are Cat. 6 guarantee, because that was all that was left when we booked back in October 2009.

On our first cruise we had a Cat. 4 (because my mother was with us) and it had a clear plexiglass verandah. As a result, each kid could see the ocean through it and neither one attempted to climb in order to get a better view of the water.

I have suddenly started worrying about being assigned to a Cat. 6 with a solid wall verandah and that this would cause DS, now 4, who has absolutely no fear or sense of danger, to climb. :scared1: Of course, we keep the veranda locked when we are not out there (even us grown-ups had trouble figuring out how to open the door!), but the thought is still making me nervous.

Now I find myself obsessively checking the DCL website to see if we have been assigned. :surfweb:

I don't know if it will help or not, but my TA put in a request to be Mid ship. Apparently the midship CAT 6 rooms have the clear plexiglass. It was worth the try for me, so I guess we'll see how it turns out. You could always try that request too. :)

Just a point of information and not to add to your fear, but to prepare you in case you haven't seen this trick. Many children are very resourceful and some have figured out how to open the verandah door. Yes, it possible for a 4 or 5 year to open that door.

In the case where you have a quad (sleeps 4) and the top bunk is down the child can climb up on the top bunk, sit on the bed, pull on the "child proof lock" with one hand and push the door open with their foot. Ta Da. :sad2:

I am sure all will work out well. Sarah was 4 when we were on the 15 day repo with the larger suite verandah and she was good. I think she understood the danger, but always good to never leave them alone.
