I tried this, but I was told it couldn't be done. The CM was on the phone with me for a while, looking through her computer and said she could find no appropriate section on her screen to put that request in. Bed rails requests go to housekeeping, dining requests to dining, etc., but there was no way to make a request that would get to the attention of stateroom inventory control. And even if she managed to find one, she didn't know how much it would help since GTY's cannot make stateroom requests anyway. :sad2:

I'm not sure how accurate she was.....I've certainly gotten mis-information before when contacting customer service.

Oh well. I guess I will just have to hope for the best.

The solid wall railings are all aft of the Navigator Verandah's. Anything forward of the Navigator Verandahs will have the clear plexi railings. You can see the solid wall verandahs..they are marked on the deck plans with an *.

I hope you get what you want!!! I am still waiting for my Cat 9 GTY....:rolleyes1

Although I do hope for a clear plexi glass verandah, I've determined I will be Happy with Whatever I do get with my GTY. Plans are firming up for our drive down, as well as what day we will now leave on.
We have a new security system for our house now, so DH says we dont' have to hire my friend to house sit........ I'm still debating that. If she came here, the dogs can stay here too. If we don't have her house sit, then I have to find someone to take the dogs...... Hmmmmm more decisions to make!:)

For all those participating in the FE, do we have anyone with food/peanut allergies?

Not in our stateroom. . . but I do have a citrus allergery and it is not a fun one on a Caribbean Cruise (or really anywhere) :fish:

We are closing in on our August 1 Lanyard deadline.

If you think you might want to participate and purchase personalized custom lanyards for your family members/friends on the cruise and have not already notified me, please do so! Also if you have a preference on the type of lanyards we will purchase, do let me know. (I haven't heard from everyone yet) I'll repost the options at the bottom of the post.

8/1/10 is the "official" close out date for participants though I may be able to accept late entries as late as 9/1/10. I will tally the votes for the design preferences after 8/1 and then will get the official price quote and we will start our payment period. I will PM everyone with their total cost and they will have until 9/1/10 to get payment to me (I will accept money orders, checks if received by 8/15, and PayPal (I am a verified premier member). On 9/1/10 I will place the order.

I will officially hand out lanyards at a table at our DisMeet in the Promenade, but I will be happy to pass them out to you if I happen to encounter you prior to that (Port, CIS, Fishlips, etc.). If I don't meet up with you by the DisMeet, I will deliver your lanyards to your stateroom the first evening of the cruise.

As always if you have any questions about this procedure or also any ideas or preferences or anything regarding these lanyards, don't hesitate to let me know!!! :goodvibes

Thanks, Jen:earsboy:

So with option one or two we only get one color choice? But with option two we can use Waltograph or some other Disney font?

All of the options are priced for one color choice, and that would be the strap of the lanyard itself. The writing would be black or white. For the bottom two choices the color refers to the whole lanyard and holder, but still one color (black for option 3 and blue for option 4 since blue is the only color currently available. Charcoal is the other color for #4 and it is out of stock right now). For options 1 & 2 (possibly 3 & 4 it depends on the size of pocket) I will make and print out cards with the logo and disboards name (and first name if desired) to slide in the pocket, and those will be full color on white. #4 Doesn't really have a pocket for a nametag, it would have to slide into the full body of the sleeve and I'm not sure how well that would work once it is used to hold other items as well.

I know Kenny Products (option 2) can use Waltograph since I have gotten lanyards from there before and they used the Waltograph font. I imagine it can be done with Options 1, 3, & 4, just don't have prior experience with those companies. Option 1 (Lanyard Lab), that is the company run by Ricky Brigante who does the Inside the Magic podcast and site, he has mentioned offering discounts to listeners so that price may be slightly less. Both 1 & 2 have free shipping as well. HTH! :goodvibes

Judy- we have no allergies here! :thumbsup2

Thanks for the info!

A shopping tip for all of you with little girls who love Minnie Mouse: Gymbor__ (not sure if I can name the store so I'll abbreviate!) has a new line with a very cute tiered ruffle red polka dot skort and a matching sleeveless swing top. It would be a darling cruising outfit for the little ones. I can already picture the photo ops with Minnie and her favorite male mouse! :love1:

I wish my "Little" Girl was still little! :sad1: OOHHHHH, they grow SO fast. My Little girl is now 19 years old!

Well, mine is only 9, but she refuses to wear any Disney or Princess stuff (with the exception of Wizards of Waverly Place or Hannah Montana) that might be seen by others. She will still wear her princess nightgowns, but only if no one outside of the family is going to see her.

It was unanticpated by me that I had so little time to play dress up with her! :sad2:
