The downside is it's made working today sooooooo difficult because I want the cruise to be now, now, now!!!. I can't concentrate, I don't care about anything, all I can think of is having a pina colava or a key lime margarita and feeling the ocean breeze and seeing water stretch out forever in front of me.

Hi everyone!

First off...thanks for all the thanks! I'm glad you like the lanyards! I will be test printing my first tag today and then will start mass production this weekend. My goal will be to do at least 20/day so I can get it complete in 10 days. We'll see how well I manage that!

Jennifer that shuttle photo is so awesome! I remember going to the first shuttle launch, I was 6 years old. I don't really remember too much about it except the big countdown clock and the massive amounts of people camped out in their cars. We had a conversion van (70's brown & orange LOL) and I remember watching from the roof.

I checked the launch schedule and we are missing it by two days. (Nov. 1) So Discovery will be on the pad but we won't be able to see much from our POV onboard the ship (I'm guessing, not really sure where the launch pad is in relation to the big building below). Here is a pic taken from sailaway in '07, maxed zoom.

Ditto! I am sitting here and have absolutely no desire to do work whatsoever. It has been over a year since we took our last real vacation and I am really starting to feel it now. It has been a long year for us and I am so looking forward to just sitting still for a while and spending time with my family. We are all running around so fast all the time.

And I never heard of a key lime margarita until someone on this board mentioned it. I am so in line for that!

I think my cruise documents came today, but I wasn't here! The baby twins I look after were quite miserable, and having been house bound myself for a few days, I decided we all needed a change of scenery. So I went to a friends house for the day. She helped me with the twins, who were much happier getting more one on one attention.
We came home at 3pm and there was a FED EX delivery notice in my mailbox. They will try again before 5pm tomorrow. Darn. At least my day was good otherwise.

Oh and I've made the same mistake I made last year, sort of. Last year we leave my now DS13's sandels at home, and thought we could buy him some in FL. We couldn't find any anywhere, till the day we were leaving our WDW resort, ready to head off for our cruise. We found some nice black Disney crocs for him, at Port Royal.
Now this year, this morning, I was getting my guys dress shoes out of the closet and sandels. Well DS13 has gone up two shoe sizes this summer, and I never thought about getting him a bigger size sandel while they were still in stores UGGHHHHH. So hopefully those crocs from last fall will still fit him, because that might be all he'll have for sandels. He needs new dress shoes too, but I know we can get those in FL if not here before. In fact, I just might wait till FL because I'll need him with me to shoe shop, and then he might be wondering why I'm getting him DRESS shoes (since we never normally get the kids THAT dressed up except for a cruise).LOL.

Anyway, now I'm going to be sitting on pins and needles the rest of today/tonight and tomorrow, till FED EX comes back! My TA said they don't give out OBC's BUT they do do other things that make it worth while using them. SO might it be something in the package FED EX has, or might it be a special stateroom gift kind of surprise? Either way, I can hardly wait to find out!

We've been counting down this trip for so long...and now it seems so very close that we are all singing "Leaving on a Jet Plane". The 9 and 5 yr. old I'm sure are annoying their classmates as they don't exactly sing in tune.

BTW...I put 9 yr. old because that's what he is...TODAY...9 years ago today our little twosome became a threesome. He's getting so big!

I am soo excited to go. I finally started my last minute chance of losing a few pounds before I go I know its late but I havent really cared much lately and to be honest who can say no to chocolate im not huge i just want to lose 10lbs before I go so i can fit the clothes I had bought and stored away over the summer which lets say got a bit snug but its ok I will fit them if it kills me plus i will be in the parks the week before and i am going to want some wiggle room before all the amazing calories disney has to offer LOL. Also i am just ready to go over the past yr a coworker or two has gone on cruises while i just waited to go on ours heard the great stories and i have never been since this will be my familes first one they all have gone on royal carribean well lately i have been getting more excited cause I have a current coworker who is going on a disney one for 4 days so i have had someone to share my excitement but and look forward to it with but hers leaves before mine since she leaves this SUNDAY which is NO FAIR! Wish I can say I was going this week but I will have to wait 29days till we leave st.louis. I cant believe u all are packing i havent even started buying any travels or anything I still need to go look for sunscreen guess i better start my vacation box of snacks for the road and little stuff. But honestly i dont even know where to start.

I just ordered my Figment fish extender from Stitches 'N Bows on Etsy! She was so nice and listened to exactly what I wanted. She's going on a cruise herself this week, so I have to wait until mid-October to see how it looks!

Wanted to share this photo. My brother works for NASA and this was taken the other night.

I've asked him if we will be able to see it on October 30th from Port Canaveral, but he hasn't answered yet (and the last time I was in Titusville was many many moons ago so I have no idea where the port is in relation to the cape!).

Wow. This will be really cool for our family as I've managed to book a free tour of KSC through our U.S. Senator's office. We are planning to drive right over there after we get off the plane on 10/29. I'll have to go find Hope's NASA hat from last year's costume.

So are you from Titusville? Somehow, I think we have had this conversation before? You really don't understand how much you miss the space program until you not around it everyday. I never worked for NASA, but I did work for Space Camp in Titusville. The back of my house faced the east. It wasn't uncommon to see a launch from my backyard or even in my pool.

We used to have a makeshift basketball court in the backyard. (Right next to our Orange tree. miss that too). The court was nothing more than a concrete slab. We would take the basketball on occasion and throw it on the roof. If you were in the sunroom, you could hear these two BOOM BOOM sounds on the roof. My parents would always tell me or my brother to knock it off. Anyway, I was watching some show, think Cosby or Family Ties, (wow that's a dating me), and I hear these HUGE BOOM BOOMS. Scared the tar out of me! Our house back up to undeveloped property or woods. I thought someone was throwing stuff up on my house. I freaked out a little to be honest. Turned out it was the first night landing of the shuttle at the Cape. From that point on, if a shuttle was landing, I made sure I knew about it.

Thank you so much for the laugh I just had... I was squinting at my screen about an inch from it and there it was " Hi Sarge".. It is a rough couple of weeks for us, My FIL started Radiation Therapy for Prostate Cancer, his brother passed away suddenly on Labor day weekend and work has been well if you watched channel 5 news the past few days, I work for the company that is getting railroaded..

Just an FYI to all from NJ flying from Newark Airport... If you knew the truth about what is motivating these stories about security at the airport, you would not concern yourself about saftey there. Don't believe the media spinnnn... You are all as safe as humanly possible.....

We don't get "channel 5" news - we get all the philly stations - and we will be flying out of philly
