I canceled our Sept trip yesterday b/c we had to postpone for November. Of course, they send me the "you choose" pin just hours after I cancel. I don't even understand the point of it b/c it's for the same period as Aug/Sept free dining and that's already a general public offer. It did not include Oct, Nov, or Dec.

My mom got that e-mail yesterday too. Talk about giving me a heart attack, thinking we could use it for our December trip and then I looked at the dates!! I wanted to CRY!!!

I called hoping maybe I would have a free dining pin under my name. This is the one I had, we are better off with the 30% my cousin received. We are all traveling together so we can use it on 3 rooms. I could really, really use free dining!

Question....If you call and you do have a pin do you have to book it right then? I have three other families traveling with me and I would want to check with them before I made any final decisions. I got the 30%off pin but free dining would help us more. Should I call? We are traveling Nov 11th through Nov 17th. We were all (3 families) going to stay offsite but with this pin I can stay at POR for the same price so I want to book it but we would save more with free dining as our kids are 14, 12 and 8 so only one would be kids meal etc. If I book the 30% off then get free dining can I pay for the room full price and switch to the free dining promo with free dining pin or do I have to stick with my original pin? Also, if I book 30% off pin room only and free dining is offered to the general public can I still use both? Sorry for all the questions but I want to book it soon. Thanks

First You can inquiere about a pin attached to your name and call back later to book but No you can not use 2 promo codes, there is no stacking of discounts.
Second, yes you can book with the 30% then later call and change if FD comes out but there is no guarentee that the room you booked will be available with the FD promo , you may have to change resorts or sometimes upgrade from a standard view to waterview etc.

I would decide soon as November rooms are filling up fast I am sure many of us on another thread for those going in November starting booking back in Feb or earlier and POR is a popular resort

You will have to ask. Some CMs will tell you that they can not check for you but they can, just hang up and try again.

That would be an awesome pin! that's a pretty decent $ savings on things people may not do otherwise! We are planning on doing the photo session and the photopass cd, I hope one of us gets that one!

I got the same PIN today, and to an email address that I didn't think I had registered with Disney. I got nothing in the 2 main addresses I normally use when browsing vacations, etc.

My email did clarify each offer a bit more:

The "Magical Memories" offer is good for stays most nights
10/3/10–11/23/10. While the "Rockin' Recreation" offer is good for stays most nights 11/28/10–12/16/10.

Our trip is already booked for 10/14-10/19 @ POP, so hopefully we'll be able to take advantage of the first offer.

I find it interesting that these offers come after the (initial) free dining period. I wonder if you can take advantage of both offers, like if you were taking a fall trip and a winter trip? I am doing both, but our fall trip is before the start date, so it doesn't really matter I guess.

I'm hoping to go in Dec with DD & 2 of her friends that have not been to WDW. We set up an email account in her friends name and she got the 20/30/40 pin yesterday. We didn't book yet. We set up another account for her other friend....still hoping for the free didning pin.

Just got off the phone - both offers are valid 10/3 - 12/16 (with T'giving blacked out). If free dining is offered you CAN NOT attach this pin and use FD!
