Sorry to be MIA for so long. Didn't get to meet up with Julie in Orlando. I only had her home phone number with me so I couldn't get in touch with her. Sounds like they are having a great time.

I got sicker while in Florida and ended up with bronchitis and an ear infection. I am still trying to get over it.

The boys went 3-0-1 but lost the tie breaker to make it into the championship game due to a teams ineligible roster some teams got automatic wins and no goals against if they played that team. We didn't so our goals against (which was only 5 for 4 games) wasn't good enough to break the tie between 3 teams. Oh well. They play in Raleigh the last weekend of the month for 2 games. All they have to do is win one of those and they will go to Nationals this year in April!!

My Dad continues to deteriorate. They called me on Saturday in Florida to let me know they couldn't get him to wake up on Saturday. The hospice nurse came out and said his vital signs were fine so to see how he did on Sunday. If this continues for a couple of days - not good. If he wakes up on Sunday then he was probably just exhausted. Well. he woke up Sunday and wanted to go to church. He is very short of breath now and has a hard time getting around. He's using a wheelchair more now, when he goes out. He's also been confusing his words a lot like saying pants when he meant DVDs and saying stove when he meant TV. He knows he has said the wrong word but can't find the right word and gets very frustrated. Eyesight and hearing are impaired a lot too. I am taking the day off and spending it with him. I am going up there in about an hour.

Sounds like Mexico was a great trip. Glad you guys had a good time.

Sorry to hear about Jazzy. I know how much you will miss him.:hug:

Hope Ethan's bump is getting better.:flower3:

I'll check in again when I can.

Love you guys.

Susan - What a bummer to get sicker while you were in Orlando. I am sure your body is so worn out with the stress you are going through. I am sorry to hear about your dad. I think of you several times a day and am hoping you are doing okay. Thanks for checking in with us to let us know what is going on. I wish we could be there to give you as many hugs as you need.:hug::hug::hug:

Julie - When do you guys come back? How was Anna Marie's first day? I didn't see the picture of your family that my mom saw so now I will have to hunt it down!

Mom - Well guess what I am doing today.....getting the H1N1 flu shot. I said I wouldn't get it unless it came to work....well today only we are administering the H1N1 shot so I guess I better get it!

Denine - Your dinner always sound so yummy. One of these days you are going to have to cook for me! I hope today is easier for you.

Barb - Glad I am not the only one! I can't believe you got snow....we didn't get any. The sky is beautiful right now if you can look out a window. All different colors of orange as the sun comes out.

Good Morning

Quick hello. Getting kind of busy. Some of our systems are down so that is really increasing the calls to my team.

Susan-Thinking about you! **HUG**

Heidi-Glad you got the shot. I refused flu shots for years then after 2 years of horrible flu...gave in. To late for this year though. Grrrrrrr

For the first time in a week the sun is out. It won't last as we are to get a snow-rain mix overnight. Of course I have to go to work tomorrow. If the roads are bad, Jerry will take me. I haven't been to work since the beginning of December. I hate these 1 day a month deals.

Have to take Kaleigh to get her chest x-ray tonight when Jerry gets home. We will then see what the results are and go from there.

Sandy: We only eat meat a couple times a week. It is too expensive. We eat a lot of non-meat meals. I did stock up on BOGO meats last week though.

Heidi: We still need to get our H1N1 shots. THey have them at Walgreen's now, we just haven't gone.

Susan: Sorry to hear about your dad! Hang in there as best you can. Glad you are spending the day with him.

Julie: Let us know how Anna Marie's first day was!

Kaleigh and Jerry have a father/daughter dance Saturday night through church. Kaleigh is so excited to get "daddy time". I get the house to myself!

Hi Barb!

Denine, I love those father-daughter dances. They are soooo cute. Graci and her dad use to go. I always loved seeing their pictures. One day a month is hard for you I'm sure.

Barb, it really isn't too late to get the H1N1 because they are saying that there MIGHT be another wave of it this April.

Heidi, I passed out when I read you got the shot. Can't wait to tell your dad. What poor person held your hand? LOL

Julie, we NEED an update!!

Susan, I feel bad for you that you got worse in FL. I hope you are better now so that you can enjoy being with your father. I'm glad that you are able to take a day off here and there to be with him. Ted's dad would get so frustrated in hospice. He got so confused and had a hard time articulating. It was hard on him since he was such an intelligent man. GO TURNER!

Nothing new with me.

Heidi, I sent you an email from Dany in MX. He attached a picture of his daughter and forgot to tell you who the picture was of.

Hope everyone is having a great day.

TGIF!!!!!

Work went pretty well considering I hadn't been there in a long time. I saw the DON and asked her for more hours in February.

We took Kaleigh for her chest x-ray yesterday. I saw it on the computer and the area of white is still in her middle lobe. I don't know how iti compares to the other films since I haven't seen them. Now we have to wait for the doctor to call with the results and next course of action.

We stoppped at CVS on our way home and Kaleigh and I got our H1N1 shots. Kaleigh still has to have another in a month. The funny thing is, I went to work and we had boxes of the stuff in the fridge. I knew we were supposed to get them in, but no one knew when. At least our insurance pays for vaccinations 100% without waiting for a deductible.

Looking foward to The F/D dance tomorrow night. Kaleigh picked out her dress a week ago! I don't even know if it fits, but it is hanging on her closet door. They are having pictures before the dance.

We are going to the Home & Garden Show on Sunday. It is a Germany theme complete with Oktoberfest. It has been YEARS since we have gone cause they always want too much to get in plus parking!!! This year it is in a different location and Kaleigh is free and so is parking. So, Jerry got the advance tickets while Kaleigh and I were waiting for our shots. It will be nice to have a taste of spring!

I need more sun than once a week!

Heidi: Kaleigh got Reeses Pieces for getting her shot, what did you get?

Susan: How was your day with your dad?

Barb: Any movies this weekend?

Denine - You have to post or email pictures of Jerry and Kaleigh for the f/d dance. I would love to see them and hear stories about the dance. No fair that Kaleigh got candy....what I got was an elevator ride back up to my office!

I got breakfast at Del Taco afterwards. Ha ha Heidi!!

Denine, I WANT TO SEE PICTURES, TOO!! Speaking of sun, our southern mtns have gotten 4 feet of snow so far with this storm. Wow. How would you like to shovel that mess? I've only been to one Home and Garden show. It was overly packed and overly priced but could see how that could be fun.

How long are the Lauter's going to be gone?

The H&G show is a nice bit of Spring in the middle of a very long, gray winter. I want all the snow gone. There are black piles everywhere.

The Lauters come home Sunday. They are taking Anna Marie to Shula's tonight. I am guessing they won't have as much fun without us! :rotfl2:

Ok, Jerry bought Kaleigh the candy. I didn't get anything either except 3 pieces of Kaleigh's candy.

I will have Jerry take the camera plus I will take pictures before they leave. Jerry is the one that has to put them on the computer. That is why I don't have anymore pictures on FB!

Gotta go do that treadmill with the Wii. Weigh-in is tomorrow morning.

I just looked at the 10 day forecast for here. There is not one shred of sun in the next 10 days. Everyday is cloudy or cloudy with rain or snow.

I had a good day with my Dad yesterday. I stayed until about 6:00 then came home to get a few things and went back and stayed the night. He had his hospice visit yesterday. Dad decided to sign requesting DNR orders. He realizes that if his heart stops beating or he stops breathing it is the natural death God has planned for him. Prolonging the inevitable with possible broken ribs, etc. is not something he wants to consider now. I am saddened but also relieved that HE made the decision and I won't necessarilyhave to make that one. I'm staying again Saturday night. I broke into a seat this morning putting his compression stockings on. That was one tough job!

Can't wait to see the father / daughter dance pictures.

Hey guys!

Susan, I know EXACTLY what you are going through. When my mom had said that my dad signed the DNR papers I wanted to fight it, but I knew that is what he wanted. It was one of the hardest things for me to watch when my dad passed, but I knew it was for the best. Hang in! I know how hard it really is. I'm so sorry I didn't get a hold of you when you were down here at disney. It has been crazy with trying to get Anna Marie settled in and everything..... most of our time is picking her up or dropping her off here and there.

We took Anna Marie and her roommate Katie to Shula's for dinner tonight. We have adopted Katie! She is such a sweet girl! She fits right in to the family. We had a nice dinner and the other 3 kiddos went to the Sandcastles club at the Beach Club while we were at dinner. They had a blast and didn't want to leave. LOL! They keep asking when they can go back to the sandcastle's club. Katie and Anna Marie were a lot of fun at dinner and we had plenty of laughs! Katie is working at the Grand Floridian in merchandising and Anna Marie is at Liberty Inn at EPCOT at the American pavilion. Anna Marie has her last day of training tomorrow and then she begins at the Liberty Inn on Sunday. She got her costume today and she said she got 3 dresses and aprons and 1 bonnet. EPCOT costume department will clean them for her and she will get "clean ones" when she turns them in for cleaning.

Yesterday Anna Marie was doing her "this is EPCOT" training and it was sooooooooooooooooooo neat! The brought our all the "New Cast Members" to the center of the court by the main fountains and they formed a circle and then this LOUD pre-recorded announcement that said "Ladies and Gentlemen, may we direct your attention to the center of the courtyard to welcome our newest cast members of EPCOT center.... please give a round of applauses and wave to them. We are happy to have them,..... WELCOME TO THE FAMILY!!!!!!" It was so touching it brought a tear to my eye and same with dad. Anna Marie told us later in the day that EPCOT is the only park that welcomes their new cast members like that with that announcement. The welcome to the family line was so touching!!!! She also said that they had to promise not to tell any other cast member from any other park about the welcome that EPCOT gives. it's something about how each park " rivals" each other and don't want the others to know what they do.

Well, gonna run. I have to get to bed so we get an early start in the morning!

TTFN

Susan, Ted and I can relate as well. It's hard to accept but once you do, I feel the pressure for him and for you gets better. I am glad that YOU guys don't have to make that decision. Unfortunately, our friend who we were "in charge" of didn't want to even accept her fate. The doctor tried talking to her to no avail so the Doctor asked Ted to. It was the hardest thing for Ted. He still relives that moment every once in awhile. It was a shock for us that Ted's dad did it as early as he did. Both loved ones at the same time, wasn't easy! They say that God doesn't hand out more than you can handle.

Julie, sounds like Anna Marie lucked out with roommates! I bet that makes you feel great. Cool about the welcome!

Good morning (almost lunch time here). I stayed at my Dad's last night again. My brother was out of town this weekend and I wanted my Dad's girlfriend to get another break. He wanted to watch Troy last night so I watched it while he kept sleeping in his recliner. He went to bed with about 45 minutes left and says he slept good all night. Those nights don't happen often. I had to put those compression stockings on him again this morning.

We are expecting a lot of rain and severe thunderstorms today. I am a little worried about Julie and family driving home in it (or did they fly???):confused3 Either way, hope the weather is kind to them.

Heading out to Target a little later and then back home. Plan to watch the Vikings today. Should be a good game.

I'll check back in a littel later today. Promise!!!

Love you guys!!

:grouphug::grouphug::grouphug::grouphug:

I think I have my days wrong. I saw a post on FB from Gary so I don't think today was the return home. What do I know?? I can hardly keep up with myself much less everybody else!:confused3

Preparing a roast in the rotisserie for dinner. I just put it on a few minuts ago and it smells so good already! Can't wait for it!

WOW!! Two posts for me in one day!!! Can we make it three later on?????:upsidedow
