Barb: I can't believe you caught the flu again! You poor thing. You must have a target on your back for it.

This weather is crazy! First it snows like crazy and then the sun comes out then it snows like crazy again.

Heidi: Hope you can get your skiing in tomorrow night.

Julie: That is a bummer. We will have to get together at some point. I have your Christmas present. What does G-Dog want for his birthday?

Now Kaleigh wants hamsters. Her friends' mom said she could have them if we let her. ( I really wish she hadn't said that to Kaleigh, but she had a house full of kids and probably wasn't thinking.) We do not want more pets right now. I tried telling her they don't live long, but she would "be so happy if she could just have them for a month!" UGHHH!!!!!!!

Denine - Oh no not Hamsters. Emily and Amanda have had hamsters for 2 years. Emily has had the same one for 2 years, Amanda has had 6 in those 2 years. Amanda had 2 Hamsters die within 2 weeks of each other. I hate getting those calls from Amanda that another one of her Hamsters have died and that Emily has never had one die yet.

Heidi, I've had that same conversation. It's sad!

Denine, I've owned hamsters as a kid and loved them but when they die, it's hard on the kids. I think maybe you should just say NO. Shame on her friends mom!

Got my haircut and she put layers in it. The curl looks pretty good. She used new organinc products one of which is argon oil. So, I went in to see if the store at the mall sells it cheaper and they don't carry it. Anyway, I got to talking to this sales girl and she told me to make an appt with her at her salon (Park Meadows, Heidi). She will block off 1 1/2 hours and teach me how to work with my curls. She told me that all I would have to do is tip her and buy the products if I like them. I'm excited.

Denine, hamsters? A cat and hamsters don't mix well. And if you don't keep the cage clean, it can smell pretty ripe! We had a guinne pig (sp) with Anna Marie when she was young, and we ended up giving her away to someone who already had one and wanted another, plus we had our cat Radar who Anna Marie liked more then the pig who didn't do much of anything by try and bite her little fingers. I totally agree with Sandy, JUST SAY NO and ask her friend's mother not to put you in that situation again. I understand that she had a "house full of kids" but she should know better since she is a mother too and knows that kids take EVERYTHING that is said to heart.

Heck, we have 2 dogs, 1 cat, and a frog!!! :scared1: The frog was a COSI (it is a science center that is the coolest place to visit) gift when Makenzie when down with the girl scouts overnighter last April. She and all the other girl scouts got a little tiny tiny tadpole to take home and raise. OF COURSE Makenzie's has grown into a frog AND is the only tadpole that survived!!! LOL!!! We have already had 3 "home" changes for the frog so it had more room to swim. I just got the 3rd home this week since his other was getting way to small. I don't need or WANT any other animal!!!

Hey Denine, did you see the story about swimming and chlorine and lung infections? There was a story on the news about a link to chlorine and children getting lung infections or making infections they have already worst? I'd be checking with her doctor to make sure she can with all her problems she is having.

Hey, also saw in the paper that someone out your way in North Ridgeville got stabbed and killed in his home. That was no way near you guys, was it?

Barb, sorry to hear that you got the flu again! How many times is that? You better take care of yourself!

Sandy, you will have to take pictures of your new hair cut(s) What a nice person you met in the mall.

Heidi, any news about your "snow fall" in the mountains? Can you find out before you go? I would be so bummed if I was looking forward to skiing and couldn't do it because of the lack of snow. We have had snow here, BUT NOTHING to bad. We had some winters where it snows and snows ALL winter. People around here can't complain too much if they don't like snow. All the snow we got before has melted and we have just got a small dusting (1 to 3 inches) the last 2 days. I'm like you, I like all seasons! I love the hot, but lkke to "play" in the snow too!

Susan, thinking of you! I hope ou can give us an update on you and your dad soon.

Well, gonna run! Have a great day everyoen!

Hey Julie, I see you and I are on at the same time. That's great advice for Denine about the swimming and Kaleigh. Frog...LOL. My niece and nephew got suckered into a turtle in grade school. It got Noah sick when I was babysitting the turtle. I found out that where Ted and Heidi ski got a foot of snow this week so it should make for good skiing. I agree, I like all seasons. I don't think I could live in FL and the like.

I liked my hair curly better. I just straightened it and e-v-e-r-y single layer shows. The ends look frayed which they aren't. Can't wait to get with that girl next Wednesday. She was so cool.

Hi, everyone. I've been at my Dad's the last few days. The lasix has helped him alot. He is not as breathless and he says he feels better. He has smiled and laughed alot the last few days. The swelling in his face is still pretty bad and so is his vision and hearing. All in all, I had a lot of good time just hanging out with him.

I got home this morning. Need to get a shower and go into work late. We were supposed to go to Raleigh this weekend for hockey. If we won one game we would go to nationals in April. HOWEVER, we have a "Winter Blast" heading our way today and I am betting the games get cancelled. Our forecast changes every hour. It has gone from major ice storm, to light snow and freezing rain, to wintry mix to .... now expecting a heavy snow accumulation (at least for us). Possibly up to a foot where we are.

Oh well.

Better get into work and get some stuff accomplished today!!

Love you guys!! mean it

Susan, sounds like a nice time with your dad. I heard about your weather, be safe and hopefully it won't be as bad as they are predicting. We re really cold and sunny and they are saying that is why we aren't gonna get the snow that is predicted everywhere.

Tell Turner (IF he does get his hockey games in...) GOOD LUCK!! I hope if they do play that they win and can go to nationals!

Well, gonna run! Have a great day everyone!

We finally got some good news yesterday. Kaleigh's pneumonia is GONE! There is just a very small streak left and that may or may not go away. It depends on whether it turns out to be scar tissue or not. So, we can stop the chest clapping and inhaled steroid. Plus, we don't need to see him on 2/26, unless.... I am keeping the appointment for now.

Unfortunately, I was afraid Kaleigh was coming down with something yesterday morning and I was right. She had a fever by afternoon. It is an undetermind virus at this point. Fever won't stay lower than 99.5 (once) with Tylenol. So, no school today. I am keeping Kaleigh on the inhaled steroid in hopes of preventing it from going into her lungs.

Kaleigh is on the couch watching Disney's Earth and I am set up here in the living room as well.

Julie: I hadn't seen that about swimming and chlorine, but Kaleigh hasn't been swimming in a long time. A frog??? The murder was on the other side of town. It is like a differnt place on the eastern half.

Since Kaleigh is sick she hasn't mentioned the hamsters. I am not going to either!

Sandy: It sounds like your hair looks really nice!

Heidi: Enjoy skiing!

Susan: Glad you dad is feeling better. Just to let you know, Jasper was on
50 mg of lasix at the end. I have human patients that take less than that! Sounds like you had a good few days. Hope you don't get the storm! Stay safe!

Barb: How are you feeling?

Julie: I forgot to mention that we are not ruling out your super bowl party.

Just took Kaleigh's temp again and it was 99.6. Better than the 101.3 it was at 7 AM.

Hmmm, didn't she go and play with the kids down the street yesterday or the day before..... I bet they got her sick! They say viruses take a day or 2 to come out full force... hmmm, the same people who wanted to give you hamsters? I think I would tell them, no more visits! Are you sure they are friends? LOLLOLLOLLOL!!!!:rotfl2:

Howdy, howdy. Not much new here. Expecting the whole family for dinner tonight. Hand still not perfect. Will call him tomorrow or Monday.

Denine, great news about pneumonia. Hope her new virus doesn't turn into it!

Susan, so glad that your dad is doing better. I always feel sorry for people with ice storms. I would take a blizzard over ice storms any day! LYMI on my facebook, LOL!!!!!

Julie, whatcha up to today?

MISS BARB, please let us know how you are feeling.

Hi Sally!

Kaleigh usually takes 3 days to get sick, so we are thinking it was the flower show or the grocery store. Still can't get that darn temp down.

We were hoping to go out to dinner tomorrow and leave Kaleigh with grandma, but that is not going to happen.

Julie: What size does Miss Brooke wear? 6?

Sorry to hear that her temp won't come down. There is a virus with a temp that stays around for at least 3 days! Brooke and Makenzie had a virus like that but theirs went away after 2days. Just pray it's not the virus where they throw up for 2 days on top of the virus! That usually happens on the 2nd day from what people have told me.

Yep, Brooke is wearing size 6 or 6x now. Of course everything in need for length, but the waist can fit 2 of her in it! LOL!

Susan, sorry to hear about the snow.... I hope Turner's games don't get cancelled! My step son and his wife are moving back up to Ohio from Florida, and they are so glad they are moving next week and not this week due to your snow/ice issues. I hope it doesn't get to bad for you guys!

About 3-4 inches of snow and now heavy sleet falling on top of it. Today's game was cancelled but they are trying to arrange a double header for tomorrow. I think it is crazy to plan to go tomorrow but I am not the decision maker.

Today, I plan to enjoy sitting by the fire and just relaxing!

Kaleigh's temp finally broke at 11 last night. She feels much better and is back to her talkative, can't sit still self. The only thing she has is a slighty stuffy nose. I will keep an eye on her today. Still not going out to dinner though.

Susan: Enjoy your snow!

It is sunny but bitterly cold here.

Julie: I know what you mean about needing length but swimming in it otherwise.

Nothing going on here today.

Susan, you crack me up. Do I say that I'm so glad you got snow??? LOL Seriously, be careful driving in it!

Julie and Denine, sounds like there is a nasty bug going around OH. Yikes!

Laying low today. Talked to the doctor last night and our next plan of attack is PT for my shoulder and arm. After that it will be a MRI.

Beautiful day....pushing 50 if not already 50.

What should I tip that lady when she teaches me how to handle my curls?

No games in Raleigh tomorrow so I can sit by the fire again tomorrow. Very icy out so glad we aren't planning to go anywhere.

Sandy, I guess it would depend on how much time she actually spends with you. When you are finished pay her whatever it is worth to you. Remember, she is the one who made the offer. Hope you get some pain relief soon.

Denine, Glad Kaleigh is better.

Julie, I just can't believe how big Brooke is getting!!

Barb, where are you? I hope you are taking care of yourself and not getting sicker.

Love you guys.

Susan: Enjoy relaxing for a change!

Kaleigh is back to normal. It was some kind of virus with no lasting effects, strange.

Still cold, but at least it is sunny.

We are going to have family movie night tonight.
